Arrest Warrant Issued for OBJ for Slapping an Officer’s Ass During LSU Celebration
I get that you just can’t slap a cop on the ass but c’mon, man.

You keep posting this, as if we should be tsk-tsking someone for taking a legal substance.
Says a lot more about you than him.
January 16th, 2020 at 1:16 PM ^
no, just being observant. i bet he wouldn't do that if he was sober. and my sole earlier post wasn't calling him out in a bad way, just noting it. didn't know it got him in trouble until this was posted.
and have you ever looked at your posts? they say a lot, too.

XM you are one of the best, most insightful posters on this blog.
Bando is one of the whiniest.

You're going after XM for this even though most of stuff you post is rambling incoherent nonsense.

Not federally
January 16th, 2020 at 12:54 PM ^
He can’t do that. No way. No how. I don’t care where he is and what just happened. That’s an on duty official, and his actions could have escalated if the officer lost his cool. He should be punished. He will likely get a slap on the wrist because the privilege indiviudals with money, and who happen to be critical assets for people with more money and power, have in society.
January 16th, 2020 at 12:58 PM ^
Agree. Sports media will be outraged that a high profile athlete gets punished.
January 16th, 2020 at 1:00 PM ^
Yeah it could have escalated into a shooting!
January 16th, 2020 at 1:03 PM ^
I mean you can't just erase all context. There should be differences between a locker-room celebration after winning a Natty and an officer on the street / at a music festival or concert / at a sporting event. Unfortunately, people are too dumb to realize these differences which is why the warrant was probably issued.
January 16th, 2020 at 1:42 PM ^
Look, everyone has the right to not have their asses or any other part of their bodies slapped. There's not context needed. You may not have minded. You may think this guy shouldn't mind. Doesn't matter what you think. Because, obviously, you can extend this little scenario to say "well that girl shouldn't mind that I slapped her ass at that bar, we were in a group of friends and everybody else was laughing." Context means you can draw a line somewhere beyond where someone else would feel harm. Context is opinions, it's not law. Context is for judges. Personally if someone slaps my ass, I'm throwing hands.
I can't go slap a stranger in the ass. If I do, they have a right to press charges, or if an officer sees it, they can arrest me. That's it.
January 18th, 2020 at 12:50 AM ^
So you think they should have been prosecuted for smoking indoors then right? If context doesn't matter.
January 16th, 2020 at 2:03 PM ^
I actually disagree. I understand what you are saying about context but that’s a slippery slope. One guy’s national championship is another’s music festival. Slapping or demeaning an on-duty policy officer is simply not allowed. Sorry.
January 16th, 2020 at 1:09 PM ^
I agree. What would happen to any other individual who walked up and slapped an officer on the ass? Don't excuse idiot behavior.
January 16th, 2020 at 1:18 PM ^
I think a warrant for arrest is a bit much, but what OBJ did wasn't right and shouldn't have been done. He assaulted an officer who was on duty and in uniform - you can't let that behavior go unaddressed. It was inappropriate. It would be different if the officer was high-fiving people, giving hugs, and celebrating... he was not. Lastly, if this were a female officer, it'd be sexual assault.
January 16th, 2020 at 1:57 PM ^
Why is it only sexual assault if it's male-to-female?
January 16th, 2020 at 2:24 PM ^
I was pointing out how society views it in today's day in age - we always seem to have different standards when a woman is applied to a given situation. It could definitely be sexual assault if it were a male as well. But, with that said - I'm not sure if the law looks at it differently when someone slaps an ass to "cop a feel" vs. slaps an ass to get a rise and instigate a negative reaction. OBJ was clearly doing the latter.
January 16th, 2020 at 3:33 PM ^
I actually think that the officer showed good restraint in not trying to arrest OBJ on the spot, but instead de-escalating the situation and seeking an arrest warrant later on.
January 16th, 2020 at 5:19 PM ^
Imagine if that officer unholstered and pumped him full of lead!
Bet the Browns wouldn't be preseason Super Bowl contenders then!
January 16th, 2020 at 12:54 PM ^
I for one am glad to see that the criminal justice system has the right priorities for maintaining law & order
January 16th, 2020 at 1:05 PM ^
So I can come to your job and slap you on the ass?
January 16th, 2020 at 1:09 PM ^
You are very lost. This was a celebration. Do you think he was trying to fondle the officer? Give me a (&&:!$@ break. Grant Perry caught a case for the same exact thing but they weren’t celebrating the National)@$;!@ Champions at the time. Things are really pathetic in our society.
January 16th, 2020 at 1:14 PM ^
If you look at the video, this wasn't part of the celebration. He was being a dick. Would you slap a cop on the ass,or any person you didn't know for that matter?
January 16th, 2020 at 2:56 PM ^
You want respect you give respect, what’s wrong with the country is people don’t realize most things are two way streets.
January 16th, 2020 at 1:16 PM ^

January 16th, 2020 at 2:09 PM ^
not for you to decide
January 16th, 2020 at 12:55 PM ^
I've managed to avoid arrest by refraining from getting physical in any way with police officers, but that's just my experience. Maybe others have engaged in minor battery with a police officer and have been successful ??♂️

Pending lawsuit from PSU for copyright infringement of locker room shenanigans.
January 16th, 2020 at 12:56 PM ^
Half of the crap with OBJ he definitely brings on himself. Having said that, I agree with him that the other half he is purposely targeted.
January 16th, 2020 at 12:58 PM ^
I'm having a hard time reconciling this one. On one hand, I dont want to live in a world where something like that is considered a crime, yet at the same time, I imagine the outrage from people if this were a woman instead. Someone else tell me how I am supposed to feel about this
January 16th, 2020 at 1:00 PM ^
I'm not your Dad so can't tell you how to feel
January 16th, 2020 at 1:02 PM ^
Wasn't a woman, so you don't have to worry about that part...
January 16th, 2020 at 1:03 PM ^
Just wait for a bunch of hashtags to show up on social media and social justice warriors to be outspoken and outraged....You will have your marching orders soon enough.

It’s sexual assault. Lines have to be drawn somewhere I’m sure your one of the people that think because someone takes a publicly funded job they should be subject to whatever. You are right a uniformed officer should not be slapped on the ass this was a dumb mistake.
January 16th, 2020 at 1:10 PM ^
Is it though? If I use my elbow for sex, does that mean touching someone's elbow is sexual assault? If a coach slaps a players butt, is that now sexual assault? I'm not he should be given a pass but is this really how people want our government using its resources?
January 16th, 2020 at 1:14 PM ^
Just so I understand, what level of assault and battery on a police officer should be tolerated? I'm kind of in the "none" camp, but how about you?
January 16th, 2020 at 1:18 PM ^
Again, there's a difference between tolerated and swearing out a warrant for arrest. No one is saying his actions should be tolerated. He's clearly in the wrong. Maybe a verbal reprimand or warning. Maybe remove him from the premises.
January 16th, 2020 at 1:25 PM ^
Nobody is debating there is a difference.
The point is where do you draw the line. That's a rhetorical question however -- it doesn't have an answer because in this day and age, especially, if you ask 10 people where the line is, you get 11 different answers.
Further complicating that is subjectivity doesn't hold up in court well. So while, yes this is bullshit that charges are being pressed (for now), there's really no other option.
January 16th, 2020 at 1:10 PM ^

So the very next time Harbaugh slaps a player on their backside I’d like you to prepare those charges by halftime so he can get handcuffed by the time they leave Schembechler Hall that evening!!!
January 16th, 2020 at 2:29 PM ^
Yeah, because that's the same thing. Another brilliant take by you.
January 16th, 2020 at 2:58 PM ^
didn't know Harbaugh was a cop trying to do his job. I thought he was a coach
January 16th, 2020 at 3:38 PM ^
Whatever is accepted between two able minded adults is there business...clearly the cop did not accept OBJ’s actions.
January 16th, 2020 at 1:08 PM ^
This video is a bit short-The full one shows OBJ flick a small baggie that appears to be packed full of white "stuff"......
