no, just being observant.  i bet he wouldn't do that if he was sober.  and my sole earlier post wasn't calling him out in a bad way, just noting it.  didn't know it got him in trouble until this was posted.

and have you ever looked at your posts?  they say a lot, too.

He can’t do that. No way. No how. I don’t care where he is and what just happened. That’s an on duty official, and his actions could have escalated if the officer lost his cool. He should be punished. He will likely get a slap on the wrist because the privilege indiviudals with money, and who happen to be critical assets for people with more money and power, have in society.

I mean you can't just erase all context. There should be differences between a locker-room celebration after winning a Natty and an officer on the street / at a music festival or concert / at a sporting event. Unfortunately, people are too dumb to realize these differences which is why the warrant was probably issued.

Look, everyone has the right to not have their asses or any other part of their bodies slapped.  There's not context needed.  You may not have minded.  You may think this guy shouldn't mind.  Doesn't matter what you think.  Because, obviously, you can extend this little scenario to say "well that girl shouldn't mind that I slapped her ass at that bar, we were in a group of friends and everybody else was laughing."  Context means you can draw a line somewhere beyond where someone else would feel harm.  Context is opinions, it's not law.  Context is for judges.  Personally if someone slaps my ass, I'm throwing hands.

I can't go slap a stranger in the ass.  If I do, they have a right to press charges, or if an officer sees it, they can arrest me.  That's it.

I think a warrant for arrest is a bit much, but what OBJ did wasn't right and shouldn't have been done. He assaulted an officer who was on duty and in uniform - you can't let that behavior go unaddressed. It was inappropriate. It would be different if the officer was high-fiving people, giving hugs, and celebrating... he was not. Lastly, if this were a female officer, it'd be sexual assault.

I was pointing out how society views it in today's day in age - we always seem to have different standards when a woman is applied to a given situation. It could definitely be sexual assault if it were a male as well.   But, with that said - I'm not sure if the law looks at it differently when someone slaps an ass to "cop a feel" vs. slaps an ass to get a rise and instigate a negative reaction. OBJ was clearly doing the latter.

You are very lost.  This was a celebration.  Do you think he was trying to fondle the officer?  Give me a (&&:!$@ break.  Grant Perry caught a case for the same exact thing but they weren’t celebrating the National)@$;!@ Champions at the time.  Things are really pathetic in our society.

I've managed to avoid arrest by refraining from getting physical in any way with police officers, but that's just my experience.  Maybe others have engaged in minor battery with a police officer and have been successful ??‍♂️

I'm having a hard time reconciling this one. On one hand, I dont want to live in a world where something like that is considered a crime, yet at the same time, I imagine the outrage from people if this were a woman instead. Someone else tell me how I am supposed to feel about this

It’s sexual assault.  Lines have to be drawn somewhere I’m sure your one of the people that think because someone takes a publicly funded job they should be subject to whatever.  You are right a uniformed officer should not be slapped on the ass this was a dumb mistake.

Is it though? If I use my elbow for sex, does that mean touching someone's elbow is sexual assault? If a coach slaps a players butt, is that now sexual assault? I'm not he should be given a pass but is this really how people want our government using its resources?

Again, there's a difference between tolerated and swearing out a warrant for arrest. No one is saying his actions should be tolerated. He's clearly in the wrong. Maybe a verbal reprimand or warning. Maybe remove him from the premises.

Nobody is debating there is a difference.

The point is where do you draw the line.  That's a rhetorical question however -- it doesn't have an answer because in this day and age, especially, if you ask 10 people where the line is, you get 11 different answers.

Further complicating that is subjectivity doesn't hold up in court well.  So while, yes this is bullshit that charges are being pressed (for now), there's really no other option.
