I invested in the Broadway "Death of a Salesmen" reboot several years ago and got to go the opening night after party w my wife.  Tons of A list celebrities there (my wife spent about an hour with Meryl Streep talking about hair) but what I remember most was Bill Hader hitting unrelentlessly on her to the point where I thought we were going to have a go to stop it.

No real money to be made in being a Broadway producer but the party was fun outside of Bill.

Iowa has definitely shot the ball well, MSU fans should be most worried not about how much they gave up, but how difficult it seems for them to score. They are right now, an awful offensive team.

In all seriousness, this year looks like it has aged Tom 10 years.

I know we all poke fun at the dude; he's an HoFer. I wonder how many years he has left in the tank. I am curious if he does the Beilein thing- he has always had that interest in the NBA and he's two years younger than JB.

Didn't Cleveland try to lure Izzo away from EL some years back? Izzo supposedly has a great recruiting class coming next year so we shall see. Juwan has an even better recruiting class next year. Let's hope we can beat Sparty on the court this year.

MSU, Duke and KY not going to the big dance this year, gotta love it.

Wisconsin should be at the top of that "MID" tier and no in the actual "TOP" tier. There is a +10 NET ranking difference from Wisconsin (NET of 18) up to Iowa (NET of 8) whereas Wisconsin is only +6 in the NET above Purdue (NET of 24). Also, an 8-6 record against Quad 1 and 2 opponents is only barely better than Purdue's 9-7 record against Quad 1 and 2 competition. Iowa's record against Quad 1 and 2 opponents is also exactly on par with Wisconsin, but that NET ranking will lift Iowa into the "TOP" tier.

As long as it is not the same bracket as Wisconsin, I'll take them to the F4. They have a lot of talent, and even though they haven't fully put it together this season, they are such a pain in the ass come March.

They are the exact type of team that can grind someone like Gonzaga into dirt with their gross play.

They'll be a sexy 5-6 pick to make a deep run.

Foul parity does not necessarily imply fair refereeing. It could be that MSU actually committed more, that were not called, or that many of Iowa's were of the questionable variety. I did not watch the game close/y enough to notice, but it wouldn't surprise me that Izzo is still able to work the refs effectively, even in a empty stadium blowout.

^^THIS^^, I didn’t catch the game today to comment on the specifics, but izzo citing foul discrepancy in his pressers is one of the most intellectually dishonest things I can imagine. I’d pay good money for a media member to ask the followup question, “coach izzo, you mention the foul discrepancy as evidence the refs were against you. Do you think it might have anything to do with the fact that you have a team of goons and are known for having them practice in football pads? Is there a rule that states the number of fouls are supposed to be equal?”

It is factually completely correct.   I was amazed.

The calls specifically, all in the first 5-10 minutes:

the block on Garza.

a 5 second inbound that was called while the refs arm hadn’t started the 5th tick.   He made the motion after the whistle.

And 2 rebounding fouls that were comical.

The worst call was the flagrant call but that was long after the period I referenced.

So there's a ton your leaving out, including the multiple times Garza got away with an offensive foul in the post.

But let's just say I completely give you your argument.

Garza block, inbound, and 2 rebounding vs the flagrant (which you can't dismiss because of the time of the game). The refs were in Sparty's pocket over... 3 net calls???

Watched this whole game. There was absolutely no home cooking. Sorry.
