Alabama Wide Receiver Ja’Corey Brooks Enters the Transfer Portal
5 Star out of the 2021 class. The portal seems to be filling up with elite wide receiver talent. I sure hope we land one of these guys considering we’ll probably lose our top 2 receivers.

Um, what? He had 30 yards receiving this year. Thirty. So, in point of fact there were ten players on our team who had more yards recieving than Brooks.
(Yes, he was dinged up a bit and in the doghouse, but he fell down Alabama's depth chart after a good season last year.)

Heading into the 2022 season Mgoblog said Johnson was going to be a first round pick in the 2023 draft.

Wilson isn't a high rd guy, but there's probably nothing he can do to improve where he's at now. Unless he randomly gets taller or faster, another year of college stats aren't going to sway his draft position.

Roman (if wikipedia is any reliable source) compares favorably to Worthy. I think there's a one-inch difference in height and Roman's 20 lbs heavier. He might impress at the combine and shoot up boards.

No, that was Isaiah Bond. Brooks fell behind Bond on the depth chart and was playing a lot of special teams.

I didn’t know much about the guy, so I checked his 40 time. He clocked in at 4.83, no joke. Only slightly faster than Kenneth Grant’s 4.95. Get Grant in the slot. Meat in space.

He's the guy Myles Pollard (who can't get on the field at UM) shut down when Brooks was at IMG... so I guess it's not that surprising.

How did he get 5 stars at WR runnign a 4.83?? I think that disqualifies TE from a 5 star rating, it's just not fast at all.

Because he went to every On3 camp and gave interviews whenever they wanted (kinda kidding, kinda not).

Did something change or does Alabama's classes match up better than Stanford and he won't lose most of the credits he earned if he transfers to Michigan? I'd love for some of these highly talented players to transfer if they are a good fit, but we still have that little issue with credits transferring.

Aside from the fact that he would lose a lot of credits even if he did come from Stanford, we don't exactly run a WR friendly offense. Unless this kid wants to run block and only get 35 - 40 targets a year he ain't coming.

It takes a special WR to want to do that, and that isn't a 5 star.

Speaking of "portal", is there a list out there of players M has offered? I know a few have been offered, but haven't seen an official list. I know its early in the courting process as well.
