4th of July POSBANG
To be fair, at least if you live in the state of Michigan, the relaxation of the laws regarding fireworks several years ago have led to a situation where the Fourth Of July last from early June to the middle of August, so it's all good really.
Well, not when your pets freak out. Then it sucks.

One 4th of July, everybody was out of town except my dad. He got stuck with our 11 year old lab, our 1 year old black lab/Boston terrier mix, and my sister’s pitbull/husky mix. I don’t think he got a wink of sleep for a few days.

May family will be traveling to Chicago, so I plan to grill and drink a bit while they are away.

I would argue that next weekend will be more of the vacation for people. As getting Wednesday - Friday off is more likely than Monday - Wednesday.

You might be right, but I'm working from a PC desktop, using Chrome. The saved image file was too large at 7.2 MB for it to be uploaded into the IMCE File Manager.
I'm way too old (born during the Truman administration) to be tech savvy. I had no idea how to shrink the size of the gif. Like every other "bug" in the Glitch Switch that's MGoBlog 3.0, there are no instructions available that indicate how to insert a gif from a large file.
Of course, using Google, I've discovered the miracle of resizing gifs by using the GIF optimizer available at GIFGIFs.com. Now, if only the moderators or whoever's monitoring comments on this site had advised us old folks of a way to resize gifs so that they could be inserted in a comment.

Just kidding, I saw that dumb shit somewhere last year and realized we are in the begining stages of Idiocracy.
First year in a decade we're not doing our usual massive family get together (25+ people, inordinate amount of alcohol, and a couple thousand buck worth of fire works).
Thinking drinking and hanging on the beach at Holland State Park for the 4th. Taking Thu off to recover and "working" Friday. I use that term loosely.

The fireworks purchasing begins tomorrow for me, and the booming soon after. I love this holiday! Wednesday be damned, we're having a bunch of people over anyway, and we'll do our best to make it through the workday on Friday. Go 4th and bang me!
