I'm listening to the 49ers announcers and the color guy just said something along the lines of "you wouldn't expect the players to lay down and not play hard, but you wonder how this team will fare in the next three weeks."

Hmm.  No playoff hopes and the coach is gone?

It is going to be an ugly 3 weeks IMO.

Seattle is the best team in the NFL IMO until proven otherwise.  They just went into Philly and controlled the ball for 39 minutes.  That's sick.  And decimated that Chip Kelly offense.

Then they get a San Diego team playing for its life

Then they play an Arizona team with a great D vs their putrid offensive, playing for its life

0-3 is very feasible.  At this point it is expected.  If you mentally let down in the NFL you might as well not show up.  Even bad teams will beat you if you are mailing it in.

So on the plus side there is no worry about waiting until 2nd week of January or whatever.  Doesnt mean he is coming here or anything but there is no issues of waiting on a playoff run anymore.  Incremental positive.
