It would be very nice to see this, as I'm wondering what the depth chart might look like this fall.

I've been waiting ages for this series to make a return. It's really informative and definitely tends to help with the offseason blues.

Based on the plans for HTTV, seems staff is assuming there’s no football in the fall at this point which may be a fair assumption

Regardless of the outlook for fall sports, I think this would be an awesome article to read.  It let's us take stock of who the leaders and stars are, where the weak points are, who are some new faces to get excited about, etc.  I know info is scarce without spring practice or access to the team...but still good content.

Seemed like this was going to be a thread about a parody song for the 2020 Michigan football program. If only Eddie Money still were alive, maybe he could've gotten this started.

Obviously, the kinda weird thing about these lists is that you're not ordering guys from best to worst, but rather based on how shocking it would be if they weren't a starter.  So a guy like Charbonnet or McCaffrey might be one of the best players on the team, but they drop down the list because there's another player competing with them for their spot.  Also, Ben Mason can't earn a ticket if you follow this format because the offensive tickets are 11 starters + slot + flex TE but we don't have a starting fullback.

Here's what the team would look like based on my list (actually, I did this first and then put them into categories to follow the right format).

QB - Dylan McCaffrey

RB - Zach Charbonnet

TE - Nick Eubanks

WR - Nico Collins

WR - Ronnie Bell

Slot - Mike Sainristil

RT - Jaylen Mayfield

LT - Ryan Hayes

RG - Andrew Stueber

LG - Andrew Vastardis

C - Noah Rumler

FLEX TE - Erick All

Slot - Giles Jackson

DE - Kwity Paye

DE - Aiden Hutchinson

DT - Carlo Kemp

DT - Chris Hinton

LB - Cam McGrone

LB - Josh Ross

Viper - Anthony Solomon

CB - Ambry Thomas

CB - Vincent Gray

S - Dax Hill

S - Brad Hawkins

Nickleback - Jalen Perry

Sam - Ben VanSumeren

K - Jake Moody

P - Will Hart

Good list, but I would probably put DCaf in the #22-25 range. I think he's probably in more of a battle than we think. I don't think he's a clear starter over Milton by any means, and we all saw that 2nd fall camp where JOK was a lock until suddenly he wasn't

Gosh I hope Dylan is further ahead.  Milton looks like he can move the chains with his feet but his accuracy in the passing game is suspect at this stage.

People keep forgetting Karsen Barnhart.  The kid was dunking basketballs in HS and was the 1st (only?) Frosh off the bench on the OL last year.  I would expect him to be right in the mix to start.

Thanks for putting this together.  I almost want to start a separate thread about what the starting oline will be but the board has been fussy lately.

Also, I am really not looking forward to a Vincent Gray being CB2.  Hopefully Seldon is the real deal

If VanSumeren is getting significant and meaningful playing time this upcoming season, this defense is in trouble when it plays against a good offense.  Recruiitnng wins, and Michigan has lost some highly rated linebackers to transfers over the last couple of years.

[sigh] I agree some substantive content on our favorite sport would be nice. However, we learned last season (or relearned if we had been paying attention) that spring football buzz means less than jack-shit when the season starts. Anyone remember when a planetoid sized Ty Wheatley jr. was too much of a freaky good athlete catching the ball to consider switching him to OT, despite a clear need at that position? Pepperridge Farm remembers...

So now we want to know the likely starting lineup without even as much information as gets leaked out of the spring camp? Why don't we just throw darts at a board and report the results instead? I got Jake Moody starting at QB and Ronnie Bell at long snapper.
