I was curious about Moore too. I heard on the Cover 3 podcast that there was an issue with his NIL deal at UCLA and that he may be looking to transfer regardless of whether Kelly stays. Kind of assuming that Oregon would have the inside track though with the NIL opportunities and Bo Nix finishing up his college career this year.

Long time between now and when he's looking to commit at the beginning of January. Wins against OSU, in the B1GTCG, and in the playoffs could lead to a massive swing. Then again, the NIL age does change things.

More athletic stronger arm currently playing two sports at a high level. Once he focuses on one he will be better.

I never said underwood isn’t going to be great or elite. Right now Underwood is a better QB. But I have serious doubts about Michigan High School QB’s doing anything elite at the college level.

It'd definitely be a bummer to miss on him.  We've seen with JJ that having a dude is super helpful.  Jayden Davis looks like he'll be good, but you need to have a couple of horses in the stable.  With the portal, I think they'll be a lot of opportunity to poach someone if we're in need.  Maybe Dante Moore comes back with Chip Kelly being fired. Maybe Arch Manning transfers with Ewers coming back.  Maybe Carter Smith is the second coming.

Well, it isn't great that we missed out on two top-end QB recruits in our backyard and are anticipated to miss out on the best QB recruit in a very long time to come out of Michigan. We have done very well regardless, but it would be nice to have a pipeline of top QB talent rather than hoping JJ sticks around or a freshmen steps up.

Michigans style of play hurts their chances of landing any big time QBs.  Look how much other teams throw the ball and how little Michigan throws it.  And thats with Michigan throwing it more this year.

Another factor is the lack of big time receivers.  Wilson is a very good WR and he's not targeted as much as he should be.  I thought Johnson would have had a better season as well.  Theyre hurting for guys to throw to and recruits see it.

Sam said today that UM is not leading right now but they are still in the thick of things. If he doesn't show up for the game this Saturday not to read too much into it. Or something like that. I was multi tasking and that is the gist of what I heard. It seems we still have a good chance but have more work to do.

Kelly kept Jayden Daniels in the game until midway through the 4th quarter last week, until they led 56-14. Partly to pad Daniels' stats (over 500 all-purpose yards), but also to send a signal to Underwood.

You're really going to be one of the only people who I trust in this situation since you live close to/in Baton Rouge. Do you think Michigan really has any shot with Underwood? As stated by others and myself above, we're grateful to have Smith on board, but we all know Underwood would raise the ceiling significantly.
