2013 DB Prospect Cancels Weekend Trip to Ohio

Submitted by RakeFight on

It seems like it's been too long (like whole days) since we had any tidbits of recruiting info to read way too much into, soooo...

After his visit to Michigan (3/24), Washington D.C. 3-star DB Devin Butler canceled his trip to Ohio for this weekend (reported on 3/27).  However, he's already been to Penn State, and since his visit to Michigan, he's visited Wisconsin (3/27) and ND (3/29).

Commence baseless speculation...

Something tells me this guy isn't awake yet. Nothing like drunk racist posts on a blog to pass your time. Redondo, you should consider therapy or a flat seater off of a really high bridge. I bet you would make the sweetest white power splash any racist has ever seen.

PS. Please don't have kids

He is at ND right now and from the sounds of it he really likes it.. I feel like it's going to come down to a PSU ND and Michigan finish. If I was a gambling man, I would lay my chips on ND for the time being. There depth chart is a HUGE selling point.

11 W is the most ignorant fan site Ihave ever seen. It has to be an 8th grader posting this stuff because everytime one of our recruits names are brought up or the success of Hoke they say Urbs can take him and will. I wish someone would hack and delete that site full of idiots. They defiantely have drank the coolaid!!

Vonn Bell is supposed to be in Cbus for a visit next week, according to some reports flying around. If this is true, for the love of god this kid is a monster and an amazing upgrade at safety along with Cam. I mean, he is a ball hawk, he forces fumbles..hits like a ton of bricks. Shane Morris might want to work on those accuracy "issues" because everyone of his throws is going to be a turnover. I mean we can dream...Woodard** CB, Reeves CB, Burrows SS, Bell FS and Bogard at

Meyer is a good coach, but I think he peaked at UF. I feel like it is going to be one of those classic stories where he tries to rekindle that success he had but he'll never reach that same level. And with the expectations that he has set for himself and that he's allowed the fans to have, I don't see his stint in Columbus being very long. Within 5 years, either he'll get run out of town or he will resign. If he is just mediocre at Ohio, I am totally fine with him staying as long as he pleases!

Urban Meyer and Ohio State think that they can get anyone they want. Under Tressel, they had excellent classes year in and year out. I have no doubt that Meyer will have the same types of classes , but he's taking an extremely arrogant approach.

Being/still living in Ohio, I know these fans will accept nothing less than a four star recruit. I can't tell you the amount of times that I talked with Ohio State fans about recruiting and their reaction to an Ohio kid committing to Michigan was always, "we didn't want them anyway." No. This fanbase is whack, and I think Meyer and OSU are a perfect match. They are both equally insane, overdemanding, and irrational. I feel like this marriage will be mildly successful, but in the end, the Bucks won't live up to the hype and Columbus will be very unsatisfied.

I love the fact that I just had to look up the word ."""

'malaproprisms '

I promise you that there is not another college football blog in the country where that word will be used.

it's why i love it here - the big words, the debate the other day about the secondary definitions of "enormity."  at home i am the smart one but i get to come here and be the dumb one.  this is just how i felt at UM for three years of law school.

Is this one of those cases where a guy is "criminally underrated", as Aquaman loves to say?  On paper, it looks like we already have two cornerbacks committed that are higher rated than Butler plus a killer safety.  Seems like we would only be interested in elite DB's with so few spots left.
