2% to #2: Great Season & B1G Championship recap video

I am sorry if this video has already been posted but also not sorry because it is great! I usually am not a fan of these videos that are made at the beginning of the season because I can’t stand all the negative and doom and gloom commentary.  But since we are at a point in the season where we already know what this team has accomplished and also still have more season to play, this video is awesome! It also calls out and shows a lot of the idiot sports pundits that never have no clue what they are talking about (Pollard and Finebaum to name a couple)

Also, I did not put this together so kudos to the creator of it. Go Blue!

Long but solid recap.

Covid was such a fluke year. Barely any prep time, season in a Flux then scrambled together. Guys bypassing it to get ready for draft.

The fact that these espn and fox and other media pundits took that recency bias and ran with it shows how little they researched.

The clip of that woman on ESPN saying "Michigan is still bad" after they dominated a physical, if flawed, Washington team at home shows their buffoon-ery in full, clear 4k.

This site did the same thing.  I don't think it was just an issue of research, but also about having faith (or not) in this coaching staff.  Surprisingly, a lot of well-informed people seemed to conclude that a coach who had won big at San Diego, Stanford and the 49ers, and who had previously made Michigan competitive in one of the toughest divisions in football, was now finished.

It made me realize all the fans and sites that were campaigning to have Harbaugh fired for the likes of Campbell and whatever decent coach in 2020.

Look at that emotion on Harbaugh's face.  Pure emotion!!!

Now every fair weather fan sounds like Paul Finebaum in 2020 and this week.

I am glad you and I continued to fight for and believe in Coach Harbaugh on this blog.  His track record spoke volumes for well over a decade before he came here. What he did with the program in his first six seasons was very good - and an excellent improvement from the prior 7 years.  He never flinched. He grew as a coach and a man as he stared the adversity in the face. He owned his need to defeat his nemesis as he confidently told the media which hated him that ‘we are going to beat ohio state or die trying.’ Even if he never defeated that team, my respect for him only grew as he handled the pay cut and a tumultuous off-season with remarkable character. And then he goes and does this - and cements himself as a Michigan coaching legend.  Incredible.

Great film.  Thanks for sharing.

Jim is and was always the best coach for Michigan.  Even the most simple analyses backed that up before this year.

All the doomsdayers were a sad disappointment before Covid, and after covid they became a sad excuse for having a brain thinking the covid year should even matter.

I say “sad” because Jim is a guy who pours his heart and soul into Michigan 24x7 for 365 days a year.   And all the sad shit critics ever do is sit in their comfy arm chairs and type on a computer, trying to be the one who gets to say “you heard it here first”.

Keep in mind it was perfectly ok to set your expectations low this year in terms of losses and hope for the best, but it’s was stupid for anybody to abandon the Harbaugh ship as an all out critic.

The thing is, Jim isn’t just the best coach for Michigan. He is the best coach in the country.  And, it’s not because he may win more championships.  It’s because of his character.

Compare him to any other coach.  Compare his players to any other team’s players. Which care about the money and which teams and coaches are giving back. Which teams play for the team and which play for themselves.

I am still tired of hearing, and we will no doubt hear in the future, the same bs:  e.g Jim will leave for the NFL, Jim will abandon ship, Jim will go for the money, that was a smart move he made giving back his bonus to staff…

Well, when are people going to get it.  Jim is driven by the heart; by his passion for Michigan; by the desire to lead young men and help them become men of integrity and character; by family including his players and staff and their families…and yes he loves football.

You see it in his actions, you see it in his face, you see it in his team’s love for him and their fellow players.

So it’s not enough for the doubters to simply repent in the face of the obvious.

Rather, they should never doubt the character and integrity of Jim Harbaugh and his actions again.  He will make mistakes   We all do.  But never doubt!  And get out of your damn arm chair!
