Louis Nix Believes He Can Fly, A Short Film
Instead of watching film of Akron like a responsible blogger, I made this video. I hope you agree that I made the right decision.
UPDATE: Louis Nix is awesome.
@AceAnbender lol *tear :)

OK, who stuck with it until the end?
September 10th, 2013 at 10:55 PM ^
I did. I was hoping for a faceplant.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:05 PM ^
Ha - me too.... just waiting for it hoping there would be a zoom in. Still, potentially Oscar worthy. Acting was superb.

September 10th, 2013 at 10:55 PM ^
Why? Couldn't get through the loop starting at 2 minutes or so. Please watch the Akron video!
September 10th, 2013 at 10:56 PM ^
Boo this man. BOO HIM
September 11th, 2013 at 2:54 PM ^
MGoBlog, now with 100% more pissing on you.
(No, I couldn't get through it all either).
September 10th, 2013 at 10:56 PM ^
Brevity is the soul of wit.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:01 PM ^
It just makes you a lesser person.
September 11th, 2013 at 12:49 AM ^
tl;dw
Seriously Ace, nice work, but the slides each take about ten seconds too long.
September 11th, 2013 at 7:56 AM ^
That would have made an extra minute or so of watching Nix soar.
September 10th, 2013 at 10:58 PM ^
For a big fella like that, getting two inches of air is pretty damn near flying.

Half of me thinks this is hysterical, yet the other half is worried that this cat fell a few stories down. SO MANY EMOTIONS.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:22 PM ^
The cat obviously fell multiple stories and almost certainly did not survive. I don't find this funny at all.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:44 PM ^
and still survive do you not? Anyways, I believe this particular cat did survive.
September 11th, 2013 at 10:07 AM ^
i thought cats could survive a fall from literally any height, as they can survive a fall during which they hit terminal velocity
September 11th, 2013 at 12:11 AM ^
It's more dramatic
September 11th, 2013 at 12:25 AM ^
Somehow every movement is in perfect harmony with the music as if they were made for each other.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:01 PM ^
Hahaha, i had to laugh. especially when the choir chimes in.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:04 PM ^
ace,
nix tried to fly again (fully horizontal) with about 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter, during fitz' 22 yard run.
here is a reference - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAH4TH8T83E#t=4m10s
would love to see this attempt in the short film.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:27 PM ^
Well played

HR: 708 SO: 1122
September 10th, 2013 at 11:35 PM ^
Um, not to be all baseball-nerdy or whatnot, but neither of those is accurate. The correct numbers would be HR: 714, SO 1330. What you have are his home run total in the American League and his strikeout total while with the Yankees.
September 11th, 2013 at 12:00 AM ^
Yeah, let's nobody forget that one awesome game he had with the Braves. Emphasis on one. But still...

But the stat is not really the issue here dude. I was trying to draw an inference that to hit a lot of HR's, you also have a lot of SO's...
September 11th, 2013 at 7:22 PM ^
Yeah, that's all on me. I understand the point you were making, and it was a good one, it's just that the baseball stat nerd in me cringed at the incorrect numbers. Sorry about that bud.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:07 PM ^
Some people actually CAN fly while playing football.
http://youtu.be/QdE1is87H30
September 11th, 2013 at 12:12 AM ^
Anyone can fly during flag football, only the best can do it during tackle football.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:10 PM ^
...that young man cannot fly. Fortunately, DF can sky.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:10 PM ^
Nice 1/2 inch vertical.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:13 PM ^
of a football game, that likely nobody actually noticed while it was happening?
That's the MGoBlog Difference!

Ace, enjoying a little of the wacky tobacky tonight?
September 11th, 2013 at 8:30 AM ^
of the phrase "short film"????
September 10th, 2013 at 11:25 PM ^
Schofield looks pretty suave with his slow jam dance moves.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:34 PM ^
Whatever you do, don't quit your day job,
oh wait.
September 11th, 2013 at 9:11 AM ^
I concur. There was no payoff. Not one of the funnier things I have seen here.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:36 PM ^
says "I see what you did there...." In the fine tradition of Lois getting smacked in the mammary.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:37 PM ^
That was the greatest thing I've seen all day, and I just watched the US beat Mexico and clinch a World Cup berth. Man how El Tri has fallen...one might even say they have fallen to earth quicker than Mr Nix! What? One would not say that? Okay, I guess I'll stop drinking and go to bed now.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:43 PM ^
I absolutely love that you got paid to do this.
September 10th, 2013 at 11:44 PM ^
Nix does not need any more reasons to feel bad about himself this week. He's still a pretty dogone good football player! I'm feeling pretty lucky that he did not have the chance to splatter our QB all over the field once or twice on Saturday night!
