Not going anywhere:
I love the University of Michigan and I am excited about coaching our Men’s Basketball Team next season and in the years to come ! Let’s go hang some more banners at “THE GREATEST UNIVERSITY IN THE WORLD “#GoBlue

Our long regional nightmare is over. LFFFFFGGGGG!!!!!!
UPDATE: The Athletic's Brendan Quinn reports Beilein and Michigan are on the verge of agreeing to terms on a contract extension:
A source tells The Athletic that Beilein and the school have nearly finalized a two-year extension on his previous three-year contract. Now a five-year contract, the new deal with coming with a rolling extension, which will keep the agreement at five years after each season. It is believed he will receive a raise from $3.37 million annually to just under $4 million per year.
He adds that Beilein did not receive an offer from the Pistons, who are still looking at former Raptors coach Dwane Casey and current Spurs assistant Ime Udoka. Multiple reporters, including ESPN's NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, are framing this as Beilein pulling out of the search, which is nice optics for the program.
Of course, now the joke is dead. But...
Now I'm hungry.
Here you go:

This week has been all, like:
I give up.
Maybe we just needed a website overhaul for good things to start happening.
Michigan 2018-2019 NCAAF National Champions incoming.
Yay!
MGoBlog 3.0 ... I like the the way this is starting.
Glad to see Beilein is getting a well-earned raise. Manual had better be lining up some raises for Yaklich and Beilein's other assistants as well. They've all earned it and then some.
I still don't see any "thumbs up/down" icons to up or down vote anyone.
they didn't show earlier but they are showing up for me now. F5 maybe?
It was never in doubt (says the arrogant liar hiding within me)
Nice
now lets get the assistants PAID!
Thank You for the MGoBlog 3.0 housewarming gift, Coach B!
I actually rhink this whole thing has been good for UMBB from an optics perspective. It created media attention for the program and put coach further in the spotlight especially after the NC run. It will be very difficult to negatively recruit against Beilein. Furthermore, I’ll go as far as saying it enhances his profile with recruits especially with the local pro team focusing their attention on him over Izzo.
Never doubted his return (except for the past few days when I doubted his return)
here you go.
Most outstanding!
Wait, we can have good things?
Huzzah!
With what he has done in his career he deserved the chance to kick the tires with the prospect of an NBA gig, but in the end I think this was the best for both him and the Pistons.
Love that this also just feels like the "right way" to do it.
I am going to eat subs!
So relieved. Desperate attempt by Gores to help out Izzo.
Huzzah!
(Almost makes up for the site redesign. Change is bad.)
A 5 year deal that resets to 5 years after each year? BEILEIN DA ETERNAL GOAT
Hell yes.
I love this news!
Also my old account is back. Its a good day!!
Grateful that this ended quickly.
Couldn’t be more excited for what he has going here. The class for this next year is going to be even better than this last year
Good news.
Ok. I just wanted to comment on the new site. Still, its good news.
Great News to hear...!
was slightly more nervous after Quinn's article, so i am really thankful to see Coach B's tweet...
Hope that the Assistant coaches salary pool got a well deserved bump too.
Somewhere Tom Izzo sheds a tear...
Pretty much sums it up!
Thank you Coach.
Thank Dog!
I hope the assistants get paid more too.
I love the new Mgoblog!
When Johnny come marching home again, huh-rah, huh-rah.
We'll give him a hardy welcome then, huh-rah, huh-raj.
I came across this going trough some old files...it would be fitting that on the 30 anniversary of our NCAA title in 1989, JB was on the cover of SI (if it's even still being published...) next year!
That move reminds me of when the Pistons hired Dick Vitale away from U of D. The Titans were never the same and the Pistons fired him a year or two later.
