If I saw Beilein right now I would give him a big hug. This means a lot.

I traveled to Madison for the game and after the tough loss I waited behind the announcers' table to meet The Great Gus Johnson. While waiting, Beilein unexpectedly appeared across the court and made a B-line (ba dum ching!) straight toward me with extended hand.
"I love you, coach," I blurted with unadulterated honesty before he even said a word. An awkward but amiable exchange ensued thereafter before coach graciously granted a post-game interview to the Wisconsin radio announcer (I believe).
My hetero display of affection embarrassed me at the moment, but if I saw that angel right now I would kiss his beautiful face with no remorse.
holy shit we like to keep things interesting. thanks manny. you're a legend in my book.
Am I the only one whom masterbates to the Muppets?

The perfect reply.
I still don't know what to do with myself.
If this were football there might be a ma and pa shop in East Lansing that is burning right now!
Oh, I'm happy!!!
March 20th, 2009 at 12:37 AM ^
I am so pumped right now there is no way in heck I'll be able to sleep. It's 12:35, Illinois just choked. All the games are over and I am wired on Amazin' Blue energy! I'm going to be up for hours. Still, it's worth it.
Show of hands. Who here really thought at the start of the season we'd be here right now? Unbelievable. Beilein needs a lifetime contract!
Manny Harris scoffs at your puny attempts to stop him!
WOOOOOO!
No I just bit my tongue
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Bring on Blake "3rd rd selection in the Dave Chappell Ethnicity Draft" Griffin....
Manny Harris and-one...wooooo!
about spring practice drills, whether Tate the Prophet has come out of the desert, and other self loathing that our fan base has so perfected?
Can we wait until after hockey this weekend, please?
Holy fucking woo.
Or at least our basketball team did.
But I have no doubt the Wolverine faithful (especially this blog's readers and contributors) had some small part.
GO BLUE!

I didn't think you were gonna make it, but you did.
Do you think Oliver Purnell feels the same way we all felt for like 11 years? Poor guy.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Harris is a beast!

I thought the game was never going to end. Huge win for Michigan, big win for the BIg Ten Conference.
I had forgotten how much fun this tournament was!!! Holy Shit!!! WOOOOOOO! Its been way too long.
March 19th, 2009 at 10:13 PM ^
That was FUN for you? I had a sick feeling in my stomach all game.
I move that "Final Countdown" now be included in all basketball big before game write ups.
Anyone to second?

Thank you John Beilein. Thank you Manny Fresh. And DeShawn, and the walk-ons, and the freshman, and all the others who have efforted so we could yell our heads off and be proud once again. And although I'll always blame Bill Martin for the clusterf*ck of Appy State, thank you Bill Martin for delivering JB.
...made glorious summer by this son of Gib.
March 19th, 2009 at 10:29 PM ^

March 19th, 2009 at 10:32 PM ^
Last sentence of the AP article:
"Even though Oglesby finished with just three points on 1-of-8 shooting, the Tigers probably could have used him down the stretch."
Brilliant journalism there.
Also, WOOOOOOOOO!!!
March 20th, 2009 at 12:01 PM ^
I was kind of pissed he got tossed - every one of those misses seemed to be from 30 feet out. Horrible shot selection.
March 19th, 2009 at 10:35 PM ^

I cannot believe how badly Gibson outplayed Sims tonight. He was SOLID inside defensively, and on every loose ball.
Novak was a small, white man stud too.
Kudos to Manny, if he hits 5% less, or doinks a few foul shots, we lose.
I have never gone from being so pleased with our effort, to so angry, as in the second half tonight. All the BAD passes; and how about the 2 pull-up "3" attempts on 3-on-1 breaks while up 15 with 4 minutes left... My God, PULL THE BALL OUT AND BURN SOME CLOCK...
Oh well, hope they live and learn!
WWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

No kidding, man. I hope Gibson is ready to play 30 minutes against Blake Griffin (or Kevin Thompson, God willing). Actually, I wish there was a rotation that featured both Gibson and Sims but that never seems to happen. How come we never employ a twin-tower approach and play them concurrently? Any ideas?
