Juwan Howard to Pistons Rumor
y un más movíl
Thanks for saying that. I was going to, because I think Ray Jackson would have something to say about that assertion. Jackson dove for more loose balls that the other four combined! I mean, that was his role, but still...
Fab Five played their asses off for Michigan.
Jalen had a smooth easy going persona, but he had a competitive drive that should not be sold short, especially late in games.
He's interviewing along with four other candidates for sure (Ime Udoka, Nick Nurse, Kenny Smith) and most likely Dwane Casey as well.
Really like him though, he's been an assitant with Spoelstra since 2013 and the obviouse Michigan ties.
This Kenny Smith?
I'm not disagreeing, but wasn't Steve Kerr a color guy before he became a head coach?
just say he walked into a unique personnel situation for a first time head coach.
NO!!!!!!
Have you seen him get in the tv though??
That could be a good move to at least initially improve ticket sales
I understand there's an inherent gimmick with being the first anything, as Hammon would be, but her skills as a basketball coach seem to be held in really high regard throughout the league. Especially compared to the other two mentioned.

Rekindling that Michigan connection with Howard since he could be in the area and using it to our advantage to get McDaniel
Has made absolutely zero sense. They have an advisor, they are bringing in advisors for the advisor, those of whom coached in the 70s.
And then, there are rumors that they want to interview Kenny freaking Smith? A dude who's been in the broadcast world for like 20 years?
Juwan Howard would be the ONLY thing of any of this search that makes sense. He's done his time, he deserves a shot.
I dont get how you can hire a coach before you bring in a president and gm. The Pistons are dysfuctional and Gores has turned this organization into a dumpster fire.
you heard it here first. he's going to grab opposing players and 'disappear' them into a sewer. after just a game or two no opposing teams will show up. the pistons win all games by forfeit, on their way to the championship. such a simple solution, why hadn't we thought of it before?
Didn't Gores pay like 7 figures to Phil Jackson for 'advice' on taking the biggest, most obvious name available?
Who would agree to coach when they have to win immediately to satisfy the GM that didn't hire them? I'd love Juwan to coach here, but the Pistons are owned by the only idiot alive that could make the Lions look like a sound, functional organization.
"We gon shock the world!!!" -- Juwan Howard, Michigan Wolverine and (hopefully) new Detroit Pistons head coach

we heard you the first time
whatever, that is fine. The Pistons are so screwed in terms of roster, cap space, draft picks, fan interest, etc. etc. that it really does not matter. A full decade of really poor management has finally caused the levees to break. That is a franchise in a whole lot of trouble. God bless whoever takes that job. Juwan is fine. He wears nice suits and actually may be able to teach Andre Drummond something resembling some post moves.
Are you saying they should hire Brian Ellerbe?
