Michigan a 3 seed in the West
Love me some Xavier as the 1 seed. Love to have 2 seed UNC. Sets up perfectly to avenge the ugly game in Chapel Hill earlier this year. Couldn't have been much better other than MSU getting to play in Detroit and Michigan being stuck in Wichita. So pumped for Thursday, Go Blue!
Shut down Berry and UNC is a different animal.

The BIG is not loaded with good guards. Winston shot 50% from three but didn't even take enought to qualify for leaderboards and Langford was a nothing in big games. Ohio state was playing dakich 15 minutes a game. Purdue has Carsen Edwards and that is pretty much it for elite guards in the big ten.
I follow the Big Sky closely (no laughing please) and the Grizzlies are the HIGHEST rated Big Sky team of all-time since Kenpom started 16 years ago and this is also the best overall season from a Big Sky ratings perspective at KP this year.
Little nervous as I actually circled Montana as being a sleeper team before the seleciton show. Oh well is what it is.
Michigan a #3 seed, UNC a #2 seed, Steve Fisher presumably in the house, and Xavier somewhere in the bracket.
+1 Insightful.
Then we'll go on to smoke Virginia by 30.
Champions of the West...
Wichita. No distractions. Hopefully left a bad taste in the teams mouths.. I like it. I like it a lot.
Focus on one game at a time. It's March madness. You never know whats going to happen!
is a very winnable game for Michigan. They're worse than Nebraska/LSU but better than Wisconsin according to KenPom. Given on how well Michigan played in the last few games, not worried about them. Michigan defense will carry the team while the offense will catch up by 2nd half.
Michigan seem to erase any of the defense's ability to prevent 3s because of their offense because they know how to get to their spot on 3 pt line.
by far the worst crew you could come up with. just horrible. barkley needs to just go away and take the little shit guard with him.
a lot. Champions of the West has a nice ring to it.
Houston is very good, and they will bring a lot of fans. If you are judging them based on the game today you are doing them a disservice. They were playing one of the best defensive teams in the country after playing a huge game yesterday vs Wichita St. That said, SDSU could easily pull off a round 1 win.
It's a commuter school. Do the alums really travel well? (Serious question ...)
i like what you did there.
They are, Detroit.
The 4 regions only matter for the regional semis/finals the 2nd weekend. Those are always somewhat geographically placed like they should be.

No, upset that MSU (who we went 2-0 against) is.
this one time, as a 3-seed, beating UNC and Virgina.
That year, Seton was beaten. What a riot!
(RC90 already got it, but I still can't help being excited about this tournament)
Yeah, I missed that Seton Hall will be in Wichita too.
I'm sure Kansas fans will love seeing Michigan there.
I wonder where that guy who was climbing that traffic light in the rain is today.
I remember him from all the morning news shows the next morning. It was the lead story. Still have a montage of them on a VHS tape somewhere.

At first glance, it makes no sense. Michigan 6-4 vs NCAA teams. MSC 2-4. Four of those six wins on the road or neutral. Both of the MSC wins were at home. Plus, our two double digit wins in East Lansing & Brooklyn vs the Aggies.
I thought about this and the reasons are obvious:
1. The only way MSC can get to the second week is to play basically two home games.
2. Izzo or Bridges may be indicted this week & one of the conditions of bail will be not allowed to leave the state!
They are TINY. No one above 6'8 that gets meaningful minutes? And holy hell, they cannot shoot from deep. Pack the middle.
if they are small, why pack the middle? don't let them hit 3s. that's the way you lose. then let our bigger guys clean up the glass.
Observations. Didn't do any research on their rebounding.
Just noticed they are small and can't shoot from outside. Made me have the assumption they do their damage from within the arc.
If Michigan is fortunate enough to get to the Sweet Sixteen, I hope the West Coast alums flood the Staples Center. I think Michigan fans would show better in that game than UNC.
