I agree. People who think we got an easier draw than State are accounting for the entire bracket. The top half of the bracket doesn't matter if you don't make it out of the first weekend. Michigan pulled the most difficult 3-seed matchups of any. I like the way this team is playing, but with Houston and Montana, we got hosed.
That's absolutely amazing! Did you start from a new cart, used in good condition, or old clunker? I'd like to take on a project to customize a cart for around the neighborhood, but I'm not sure best plan to start... Or budget expectations to set with wifey.
Makes a competent brisket. They use the wood accessible to them so they're using fruit wood, which I've never seen done in Texas. The fruit wood doesn't give you the same smokey taste as post oak. I'm a purist Texas barbecue guy, having relocated for 13 years now.

I love these posts! They help talk me off a ledge when in the market to buy. It'd be interesting to see a projected "season ticket" equivalent column. At the end of the season, we'll see how much more (less?) it costs to buy season tickets versus the Ticket Watch method.

My cousin was the goalie for Ohio State from 96-00. Growing up in Ann Arbor, we ventured into Yost often for games and open skate.
I remember one of the Ohio State games with my cousin in net. I sat with my family on the south-side endzone bleachers. It was loud. It was Yost. It was awesome.
Some Christmas's later, we're hanging out, and I ask if he could hear the Michigan fans while playing in Yost. His response, "Every word." Megaphone not required.

I've lived in Austin since 2004. We tailgated with Longhorn friends at their stadium. They were in the center of it all - in a sea of burnt orange. My wife and I always purchased the bright maize (they may have been highlighter yellow by then) student t-shirts to wear amongst the orange. We were easy to spot.
After the final play and the horror completed, we bailed. In walking from the heart of UT tailgating to the outskirts of campus, you walk by hundreds if not thousands of people, all in burnt orange, all knowing exactly what just happened, all knowing that Michigan was only 1 spot behind them in the preseason ranks, and now they see bright yellow walking down their streets. I know I'm not a part of the team and what took place on the field, but that didn't make it feel any less embarrassing.
The next week, we did it all over again as Oregon blew us away. The heckling accelerated. Michigan was done.
The next week we came back and did it all over again. It was a turning point. The same people that heckled us came out of their tailgates, shook our hands, offered us drinks, BBQ, tacos. They acknowledged the loyalty and fandom that we had for not only Michigan, but for college football. And then we beat the hell out of Notre Dame!
Grant it, I would much rather Michigan not lost in the Horror part I, but perserverance won out in the end... especially when we smoked Florida in the bowl game!
Go Blue and beat the hell out of App State and everyone else on the schedule!
I wrote the president back when they were building the new warehouse to expand capacity asking (*begging) for them to come to Texas. A product manager actually responded and acknowledged the request. Pretty cool, although it clearly did not end well. If the mgotexas faithful all write/tweet Bells, perhaps we can convince them of the huge opportunity and demand.

And now to see how he's recreating the ties to our premier alumni, and they're taking the time to visit/speak to the team. Brady's last visit was in 2007.

Watching Michigan play in Jerry World from Jerry World for the first time. The second time will be in a few years when Michigan plays in the 4-team playoff championship game.
I would definitely give them to this comment. This is Michigan. We don't need gimmicky jerseys. We have the most iconic helmet in all of sports. Stop the madness.
I play with 5 minute quarters and can't get anywhere near the type of stats needed to win a Heisman or garner all American honors. What quarter duration do you play?
Glad Stafford took home comeback of the year. In his speech, he thanked the city of Detroit which as he put it is on a comeback of its own. It's great to see the Detroit professional athletes take pride in their city.
Pluckers is the place our alumni club organizes game watches. It's too far south for my liking, so I rarely go. The Tavern is a spot we used to go to and you'll still catch a few wolverines there on Saturdays. Join the Michigan alumni Facebook group and you'll know where people are at.
I setup daily alerts on kayak.com early and often. I've tracked a AUS to DTW flight at the end of this month for a few months now. It's been tracking well above the average since I started watching at around 450-500. I usually try to get this flight for 300-350. I'm no expert, but I think the airlines have inflated the prices during the summer because more people travel.
Last week, I saw the flights drop 75 in one day, and jumped on it. An hour later, they were back high. Being only 2 weeks out, the flight's still fairly empty, so I imagine they might drop soon to try to fill seats.
So my recommendation is use kayak, if you can, be patient and persistent, and try to take one of your segments on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Good luck.
