Writing was on the wall here after Gray held off signing early. At first blush, Gray is very much a luxury since Michigan is bringing in 4 DBs already despite losing nobody from this year's team. Gray is in he three-star sleeper range on the composite, the #17 kid in Michigan and #686 overall, and his recruiting story—a Mizzou commitment that almost turned into a WVU flip before Michigan stepped in—doesn't do a whole lot to dispute that take.
Ace will have a Hello post Monday.

I would say he should tie his shoelaces, but we already have proof that isn't exactly necessary!

If not for the early signing period we could have dozens of threads speculating on which of the other commits were being forced out.

Some stats:
Harbaugh has brought in:14 OL, 20 WR's / RB's, 8 TE / FB's, and 16 DB's in his four classes. If you take out the first year it's 12 OL, 17 WR / RB, 7 TE / FB's, and 13 DB's. If you lump TE's and FBs in with RB's and WR's its almost a 1 OL : 2 skill position ratio on offense (not counting QB's). OL just seems underrecruited since you will always have 5 of them on the field.

Gray also picked up late offeres from UCLA, Duke, Cal, and Oregon. which would imply he's a bit of a late riser and probably better than his 600s ranking.

Stop talking crazy! How could the staff know what's going on?

Vert and Long both going pro after this year is a real possibility based on their play. Stocking the cupboards!

Seems like a good pick up, but like everyone else is asking, why? What's up with the stockpile and and over stockpile? Some of the kids changing position? Change of defensive system? Expecting multiple early NFL entries? I'm not smart enough, and probably none of us outside of the actual coaching staff truly understands the motivation for this direction. So trust what they know and roll with it. Go Blue.
