I thought it would be a good idea to dedicate tonight's game thread to Ace and his ongoing quest for good health. Hoping all the positive vibes generated in this thread will bring some good mojo Ace's way and that the rest of the comments, no matter how unfunny, negative, or just plain insane, will bring smiles to his face when tempered with the realization that after all, we're all participating because of our shared love for all things MICHIGAN. Of course we're all emotional and pissed off about that, but think, even from an impartial fan's perspective - officiating ruined what was the best basketball games I've watched all season.

If you rewatch the possession, Mathews wanted the ISO (long before he got it) at 15 seconds. He was taking that shot no matter what. Z got in his way. Had Z taken the hint, Mathews would have driven baseline one on one with about 8-10 seconds. ANYONE killing Mathews tonight doesn't realize what he did on the glass. To name one, he created the offensive rebound on the Moe miss front end 1&1. Won't show up in the stat sheet.

Playing from behind pretty much all game. Clawed back in it to briefly take the lead. Tied up and we had possession with no shot clock. Matthews drives with about 5 second left; on his way to the basket defender knocks the ball out of bounds. Originally called Michigan ball, but after lengthy review refs give it to Purdue. On subsequent possession we have foul to give. Then when they inbound Wagner is called for foul on Haas. Looks like BS, but replay shows that he had right arm around Haas' waist. Haas hits front end of 1-and-1. Matthews desperation 3 rims out.

But Beilein should've called a TO for that last possession.  Our offense stunk up the joint those last few possessions.  It's pretty simple.  You tell your guys not to put a shot up until there's less than five seconds left so the other team doesn't get a shot.

dumb fuckin BIG refs overturn that out of bounds call.  i have a 50 inch screen and couldn't tell for sure.  they know by looking on a 10 inch monitor.  i will say again, they can go fuck themselves.

The only reason the ball left his hands was due to a Purdue player knocking it out. That would mean everyone can start knocking balls out of players hands and it will always be the defense ball on a turnover.

Instant replay has ruined sports for me. Why is a drive at the end of the game scrutinized frame by frame just because it is the end of the game? I’ve seen that play 1000 times before and it’s always offense ball. Those seconds should not be any more important or valuable than the opening five seconds of the game. Just fucking ridiculous.
