B1G "asks" TV Teddy Valentine to not work 2 games
From Mlive:
"On Wednesday, Valentine put himself in an unnecessary spotlight once again when he showed up North Carolina's Joel Berry, who was trying to ask about a missed call. Valentine, always the showman on the court, turned his back on the veteran.
"As a result, Valentine told The Athletic, he was asked by the Big Ten not to work two of his scheduled games this weekend: Friday's Wisconsin-Rutgers game, and today's clash between No. 1-ranked Michigan State and Ohio State."

You forgot the most important part in all of this
After crush of online criticism, veteran official Ted Valentine says he's considering retirement. “I’m thinking about retiring,” Valentine said. “I’ve had enough of people blowing up stuff. I think I’ve had a stellar career, and I think it’s time to get ready to walk away.”
I'm pretty sure there would be a nationwide celebration if that happened. LINK

Retirement is too good for him. He needs to be publicly censured and fired.

the BIG did fire him about 10 years ago. now the SOB is back.

Mantra for basketball season: ...there is no such thing as a Big 10 basketball official, they are not tied to any specific conference...

Calling out Valentine only improves my opinion of him. His podcast after the FBI thing was wildly entertaining. He basically said Izzo was a hypocritial cheater 10 times and admitted to cheating at IU. I don't love when he annouces a game but appreciate he is honest with his opinion.

If there's an umpire's wing in the home, save room for Cowboy Joe West.

UNC's Joel Berry tried to discuss a non-call with referee Ted Valentine.

Lethal injection or firing squad?
Okra or Lima beans?
Sometimes the option just isn’t a good one.

I really don't mind Lima beans.

"It was just something that happened in the battle of the game. It's not really worth talking about"
Telling quote. What ref gets caught up in the heat of the game? Its his job to do the opposite.

TV Ted being TV Ted. It's amazing how much he's been allowed to form an easily-identifiable public persona in a job where, well, that shouldn't be a thing.

Or describes the game as a "battle," as if he's there to fight players and coaches.
