On September 12, 1981, we were ranked #1 in the country. I was pumped to begin our national title run that season, and went to the game in Madison.
WI-21 M-14.
REVENGE!!!
We ruin their national title hopes tomorrow, and start a 4-yr run the likes of which college football has never yet seen!

but the NY Philharmonic residency trumps the Badgers. Ushering tonight and tomorrow afternoon and then I'm singing Bernstein's Kaddish symphony with UMS Choral Union on Sunday. Still trying to nail my Arameic pronunciation.

We're killing our 20 year old cat tomorrow. Not just for fun or anything, poor baby has mouth cancer and there's nothing they can do for her. It's going to be a rough day for the wife and kids.
RIP fat girl.

20 years is a hell of a run for a cat, but it's also all that much more time for you and the family to grow attached to her. Way back in the time machine I worked at a vet's office and helped with the euthanasia (h.s. job) - it truly is, from the pet's perspective, just being put to sleep. Much harder for the family than the pet.

The vet was very kind and sent us home with some great narcotics so she could live her last few days in comfort.
They have a hard job I think, so kudos to you for doing it. It's like part doctor and part funeral director.

Why did the Wisconsin Regents decide to cover Camp Randall Stadium in Cardboard?
Because the Badgers always look better on paper
