Really really really want to see how a double reverse flea flicker works out for them against the best Defense in the country. They may not even get the first hand off completed. Anyone thinking this game is going to be close is just plain football illiterate. Purdue will either win a shit ton of 50/50 balls or turn the ball over ten times. Michigan will move the ball up and down the field and score plenty of points. Don Brown allready knows purdue is going to run nothing but screens as they will have no runnng game to go to. If I was Purdue I would be most concerned about keeping Blaugh healthy. Michigan should play there safetys five yards from the line of scrimmage as all you are going to see is tunnel screen, quick out to wr behind line of scrimmage and screens to the tail backs. They will not have time for anything else. I am jacked for this one as Purdue is way to confident for a team outclassed at almost every position.

possibilities and your likely success factor... Forget I said this. Michigan has lost once to Purdue in my fandom lifetime. And they gave up the lead in that contest in West Lafayette.

are going to take some serious punishment. The wideouts will too, and will often be left in trickling routes watching the offensive backfield crumble as they look on from their well covered downfield locations...

... Are we going to have one of these every week? Actually, yes I want this to happen every week. More fuel for Don Brown and Co to destroy them. And we're 2-0 with idiots mouthing off so why not?

Might as well have said they were going to beat the brakes off of Michigan while he was at it

In a tactic everyone will think is crazy.
DPJ is just going to return every kick/punt and we'll kick a FG on first down.
Statistically our defense scores at a higher clip than our offense so we're not even going to bother anymore.

Confident people don't have to tell anyone what they are going to do, they just do it.

I want to point out Mark Messier's guarantee and Joe Namath's alcohol-aided guarantee as two instances of confident players talking the talk and walking the walk.

where there were Colts present. But in every interview before the big game, he repeated himself to the press and in various settings among his teammates. So, it wasn't like his comments were fueled by what he drank before saying them. He was that confident. Can't say the fan base was. The Colts were the biggest lock ever until they lost that day 16-7.
Still remember most of the guys on that Jet team, my favorite growing up. The Colts had the best Dline to that day. They had two of the greates players to ever attend Michigan State in Bubba Smith and Earl Morrall and many of the guys on their roster would wind up in the NFL HOF. Two of their playes, Bill Curry and Ray Perkins would become head coaches at Alabama, Namath's alma mater. The team freatured only one Michigan grad, Rick Volk, a satefy who was a 45th second pick in 1967.
All-time great tight end John Mackey was the only player on either team to be drafted by both in the game that would immediately lead to the NFL and AFL uniting under one banner. The Colts picked Mackey in the second round and the Jets waited unti the fifth to draft him.
