A broken foot could very well be season-ending.

He's our best wr and this is pretty disappointing but if he can hit the 6 or 7 week period of that timeline the only difficult game he'd miss is at psu. Would be back for wisconin and osu plus bowl game.
Nervous about the isaac injury too though.

If he's got a broken foot, I'll be pretty surprised if he's actually back in 6-8 weeks. You have to let a foot heal fully before you can go back out there.

This is why you recruit all of the amazing receivers.
Get well soon and next man up!

That's a big blow
Crawford has been underwhelming. They haven't played deep at the WR position. I assume due to a combo of injuries and performance. Black has been our best outside WR
Hope Martin and Schoenle can step up, or we better start throwing a lot more to the TEs

7 has been great. DPJ time now.

Hopefully we can start throwing 50% of our passes at Tight Ends again. That seemed to work well last year. Gentry, Wheatley, Eubanks, and McKeon are all capable targets.

The Wide Receiver cupboard is NOT bare in my opinion.
Hope he heals up and comes back with a vengeance.

Unfortunate but good teams find ways around injuries. We're going to see what this offense is really made of. Do they step up or do they crumble and get worse.

Oliver and Nico are behind on the field, each for different reasons, both football related and not injury related according to one of his teammates, although Harbaugh said Oliver is hurt also.

Already had 11 catches for the year. Will be tough to replace this lost productivity. Heal well, Tarik.
September 17th, 2017 at 4:34 PM ^
Fuck. Didn't need that. Get well soon Tarik and come back when you can.

Hear me out on this, I don't think I'm crazy (although no crazy person does): Is Black actually the most affordable injury on offense? Put aside the human aspect of this, obviously it SUCKS that such a great kid and talent who worked hard to start as a true freshman has had it taken away from him. But, on the football side of things, his replacement is the #1 receiver in the class and an absolute freak athlete who was very close to winning the starting job himself.
Now, we certainly can't afford to lose another outside guy, but the drop from Black to DPJ shouldn't be much. If you had to make me choose a position to lose a starter to injury...I think I would pick WR? I think we will be fine, permitted that we stay healthy from here on out. I love what Black has done so far, his friendship with DPJ, and how well he expresses himself in interviews for such a young kid. He'll get the best care and come back stronger next year, and his brothers will pick up where he left off.

Judging from the discourse on this board Id say most would choose QB if you had to lose a starter on offense.

A few people have said that it's only because guys like Tarik come from a system in high school much more intricate route-wise that DPJ wasn't used to. He needed to get up to speed and then he would be the best WR of the bunch. Crawford is decent but DPJ, Black, and Collins all have higher ceilings.
