Ohio State - Oklahoma: Does anyone on this board pull for the Buckeyes?
I'm sure there will be a few that say that this early in the season all B1G victories against Top 10 opponents are positive for CFP positioning in November. Not once in 50+ years have I ever pulled for OSU. That won't change Saturday. Love to see them fail, lose some recruiting battles, have some RB controversies, etc.

That pretty much sums it up right there.

I just hate watching Ohio State play. Maybe it will change with Wilson as the OC, but their games usually feel like sludge-farts to me. I guess if they win it is good for conference rep, so......yeah, maybe, no - I don't care.
September 7th, 2017 at 3:52 PM ^
I hate even looking at them.
Unless they're getting their ass beat.

However you root on Saturday, it's going to be an overrated OU team getting run out of Ohio Stadium by 2-3 touchdowns
September 7th, 2017 at 3:52 PM ^
Well, Big Game Bob is gone, so . . . maybe they have a shot?

Fuck No. I'd pull for ISIS over them.
Also people need to understand they are our biggest competitior for almost every top recruit. Their performance necessarily impacts our recruiting.
September 7th, 2017 at 3:54 PM ^
This is why I ridiculed those who actually wanted them to beat Oregon a few years ago.
How has that worked out in recruiting since they won that game?
If you're a Michigan fan, you should be rooting for their demise.
September 7th, 2017 at 4:02 PM ^
Exactly. Consider that Micah Parsons will be at the game. Why would we want him to be there for a huge home win?
September 7th, 2017 at 3:56 PM ^
would be an interesting matchup. If the game was at OSU I doubt ISIS would get any calls.

If you're asking me if I think they'll cover -7.5 then yes.
September 7th, 2017 at 3:52 PM ^
I usually like to play as highly ranked opponents as possible, but watching Urbz's tears and that miserable fanbase eat itself alive is always enjoyable. Fuck him and Fuck OSU.

*but no way when it's OSU
NO
September 7th, 2017 at 3:56 PM ^
1) I want them to remain undefeated so that we can crush their season on our way to going undefeated
2) I want them to lose every single game
Although option 1 seems like the perfect scenario, I'd also like to see them lay an egg like they did against Clemson.
September 7th, 2017 at 5:02 PM ^
I feel the same way. Winning in 2011 was unsatisfying because OSU wasn't very good. Their season has already been ruined by several other teams. I'll certainly enjoy it when they lose games, but being the sole and personal spoiler of their season while sending ourselves to the CCG/Playoff (much like they did to us last year) is probably ultimately better than beating a previously 2-9 team.
At the same time I'm going to root against them every single game.
September 7th, 2017 at 3:57 PM ^
I used to be a "root for the Big Ten" guy. And then the game happened in November with the Big Ten's incompetance in assigning honest officials. Now I'm strictly a "root only for Michigan" guy. Screw the Big Ten.
September 7th, 2017 at 3:58 PM ^
Fuck them, fuck the B1G.
We win the B1G, we go to the playoff, everything else is irrelevant so let OSU, MSU, PSU and all the others get destroyed.
Wisky for some reason doesn't bother me as much.

Wasn't it just two years ago when Michigan needed OSU to beat MSU to have a shot at the Big Ten Championship? I remember people saying on this Blog that true Michigan fans were rooting for OSU that day. I was appalled at that sentiment. Thankfully MSU won that day. I cannot envision any realistic scenario in which I can possibly root for OSU.
September 7th, 2017 at 4:10 PM ^
The fact that you were rooting for MSU and Michigan's elimination from the BIG title makes you a complete idiot. I am ashamed you are part of this fan base.
September 7th, 2017 at 4:12 PM ^
I don't like your take. That's literally caring about OSU suffering more than wanting Michigan to succeed. Wasn't it in basketball a few years ago where the last game of the season, if OSU won, then Michigan won the conference? Did you root for OSU to lose?
September 7th, 2017 at 5:29 PM ^
2012. OSU beat Sparty at the buzzer in the season finale to give us a share of the title.
September 7th, 2017 at 4:13 PM ^
That's the wrong take. OSU winning directly helped Michigan that day. I care infinitely more about things that help Michigan than I do about other outcomes.
September 7th, 2017 at 5:30 PM ^
You were appalled at people rooting for Michigan's best interests?

My wife is a Buckeye at heart so I am obligated to cheer for them when they aren't playing Michigan. She returns the favor. It keeps things civil at home.

And giving up custody of your kids seems like a better option.

...But that is some candy ass bull shit right there. There are some things in a marriage that are worth fighting over. The list is short but this is for sure an item on that list. *Cough* I am divorced...

find a buckeye "woman" to marry. It is the absolute definition of "irreconcilable differences".
Go Blue!

As others have said, I'd love for Michigan to play (and beat) OSU if OSU is undefeated. Now, I don't think I"ll be actively pulling for OSU to win, and if they lose, I won't be mad.
September 7th, 2017 at 4:08 PM ^
Oh, jokes.
Nope. Scorched earth. BOOMER.
September 7th, 2017 at 4:11 PM ^
i hope they lose and are embarrassed and have a terrible season.
so no, not hoping OSU wins this weekend.
September 7th, 2017 at 4:14 PM ^
1) Michigan
2) Anybody playing Ohio State
Maybe if we beat them 12 of the next 14 years I will start to root for them to make The Game more meaningful, but until then I wish pain upon them.
September 7th, 2017 at 4:17 PM ^
I've always had trouble choosing a second team to care about. You just did it for me. I realize now that my problem was not with which team to choose, but how to choose it. Thank you.

Well now that the tiebreakers in the divisions include out of conference results (if 3 teams are tied and only losses to each other in conference) I will always root for every other team in the east to lose OOC regardless of rivalries.
September 7th, 2017 at 4:16 PM ^
You silly?
I hope OSU loses every single game they play.
That said, OSU will win by 10 or 14 points.
