Fox Sports Analyst: Jim Harbaugh Is Best Developmental Coach In America
Triple threat
You know, you're right and honestly at this point, it wouldn't only shock me to find things that Jim Harbaugh does not excel at!
can dance if he wants to
I thought he was proficent at ASL.... gotcha; my bad!
Sing to babies, get all the love, does not matter at this point.
************* ****, beat OSU. That is all that matters right now. Enough of this outside noise.
It's at the top of my list (beating OSU) and it's a home game.
But, OSU has a better roster right now. Their '14 and '15 classes were much better than ours.
I'll be happy if Michigan wins, but IMO Harbaugh does not have to beat OSU this year.
Absolutely, 100 percent have to beat OSU this year.
He can't start 0-3 against them, and then potentially looking at 0-4 with a brutal road game back in OSU.
Again, nothing will EVER line up perfectly. You have a home game, in your third year with this coach. He has to beat them, period.
Should we fire Harbaugh?
So exhausting hearing people respond that way, as though I'd expect him to be fired or if it would be the right move for the program. He's not going anywhere as long as he wants to stay.
I would hope that people finally realize that he's not some god-like figure and he has flaws.
He has to beat them, period.
Sounds like do or die to me, Uncle Leo
Then a ton of his luster should be washed off, IMO. All the stories about babies, gatorade in cereal, going to Judge Judy, that's just air.
I know I am in the vast minority of M fans, but that stuff never appealed to me, and I think way too many of the fan base puts him WAY too high up.
He's done some great things restoring the program, but he had a massive, massive opportunity with that team last year and they fell short.
I've been a Michign fan since 1970. You? When you start telling lies about people, then you become the troll.
And yes, Harbaugh got a very good half year out of a guy who was already an established starter, but who is now gone. What I did say is that Harbaugh has had as many failures at QB as he's had successes.
sorry guy an obvious troll is obvious
With a mediocre offensive line and an inexperienced and a first-time starter at QB, not to mention key injuries to those same positions that exposed depth issues.

People just jump to the most extreme possible solutions to what I am saying and strawman the shit out of my comments.
Sorry pal, not having enough talent is a horseshit excuse.
I cannot believe the amount of posts I have seen in the last two weeks already accepting 3-4 losses as acceptable.
Not in any way do I feel 3-4 losses is acceptable. We have more talent than everyone on our schedule except osu and I also feel we have the best coach in college football. I will say it again and that is after we crush Florida we will be favored in every game this year. Don't believe me, watch how it plays out this year. We will be undefeated heading into the psu game and they will have one loss (probably to Northwestern or maybe Iowa). We beat them, we will be favored against Wisconsin which we have to beat to get a slight nod against the only more talented team this year osu. I disagree that osu is a must win but it sure would be nice. I see Michigan going 11-1 and maybe making the playoffs. Harbaugh is a huge factor for Michigan and only has to recruit evenly with osu to overtake them. Let's see how it all plays out but Michigan football and recruiting is way more exciting then ever. Go Blue!!
Difference is OSU usually loses to someone that sneaks up on them...just off the top of my head, Virginia Tech, Sparty, and PSU in the last few years. Michigan is never going to sneak up on them. We always get their best shot. And that's why beating them is so tough when they're talented. As long as Meyer is there, winning that game is going to be 50/50 at best....and probably worse than that many years.
We beat them last year.
Roster doesn't matter for The Game.
They always have a better roster on paper. Ohio is a football state.
In 1969 they had the "greatest college football team of all time" - didn't matter to Bo.
Have to not just beat them, but beat them so badly that the refs can't even save them.
I wish this was written.
Now I have to go sneak somewhere and try to listen to it with the volume way down. If it wasn't 3:30 on a Friday afternoon, I would just bag it.
If this was not specifically about my coach and my team, I would have skipped right over it.
But if they say that video-only content is the way to go, who am I to argue?
OK, so I just watched it.
Video added nothing to that piece. Nothing.
To quote Frank Zappa: Is that the wave of the future? Oh, spare me please.
Fun fact: Foxsports' website has dropped from the No. 543 website in the US to No. 595 since they went to an all video format.
For comparison, ESPN is No. 28 in the US.
shouldn't that headline be "Joel Klatt's 11 Best Developmental Coaches In America"?
Well played.
This is why I cannot wait to see Speight in his second year.
Me too
