AJ Dillon is Fast!!!
He's just like Ricky Williams, just faster! /fredjackson'd
But seriously, dude is 6'1, 230 lbs and can straight up fly. Just ran a 11.3 second 100m dash.
I know the truly elite times are sub-11, but at his size?? I know he's coming in as a running back, but can you imagine him at LB? Having that dude run sideline to sideline would definitely solve our speed issues at the position.
Get off of my blog!
...and DJEasy is half-fast

Seems like a very WD thing to say, Hov.
10.46 in college after adding a few lbs.

Though, to be fair, it wasn't electronically/laser timed back when Ty was in high school, so it was probably more like 10.7, but I digress. Still world-class.

I love that Tyrone Wheatly is back in town. Add 10 more meters and put up 10 fences to hurdle and do that in 13.87 secs. Not taking away from Dillon, just Yeah, Tyrone, it was love at first sight.

was up there with the historically freaky athletes at the RB position.
Bo, Herschel, Peterson when it comes to the size-speed combo.

So AJ Dillon is Tyrone Wheatley, but slow!
The only real problem here is the excess of exclamation points in the header. 11.3 in the 100m is fast for a kid that size. Is it !!! fast? Well...no. As WD-of-many-guises notes Wheatley at the same size was !!! fast. Still, we should not let this overly enthusiastic bit of hyperbole dim the strong measurables Dilon brings. This is one druken man's opinion...
Drukenness !!!

intangible immeasurables. . .
No word on how strong it was.

So you're saying he was young and strong and runnin' against the wind?

FWIW, I've heard he's around 210-215.

He's a prototypical Harbaugh player in that he can fit into multiple positions. I expect the running back competition to be fierce and should he not crack it, he will definitely get a chance as a lb too. So excited for these recruits!
Faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive! Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound!
He can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel with his bare hands, fights the never ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way!

Brad Hawkins Jr. also won a track race two days ago
I agree he has good speed for his size but one thing we're missing. Playing lb is not a straight forward run position. Often times it's a shuttle or a side to side run. I'm sure Harbaugh has him measured for whatever position he might be good for the team.
He's being recruited as a running back.
Up at 1:00 in the morning, posting about some kid running a race.
Mmmkay. Must be another MgoPoser working on his PhD.

Here are some classic Steve Spurrier quotes:
"You can't spell Citrus without U-T."
"I don't know. I sort of always liked playing them (Georgia) that second game because you could always count on them having two or three key players suspended."
"In 12 years at Florida, I don't think we ever signed a kid from the state of Alabama ... Of course, we found out later that the scholarships they were giving out at Alabama were worth a whole lot more than ours."
Just out of curiosity...what did mike hart run for 100m

Correct. A running back running an 11.3 in the 100 doesn't sway me one way or another.
That being said, my big question with his speed is his acceleration from a stand-still. A slow start could be made up for my good top-end speed, but even if he's good after 10-15 meters, it's not often that you get to run in a straight line for long distances without having to cut.
Yep...
There were 159 kids in Michigan who ran faster than 11.3 last track season.
In the last three classes -
Donovan Peoples-Jones
Jaylen Kelly-Powell
KJ Hamler
Matt Falcon
Brian Cole
