Probably one of my top comedies along with Airplane and Tropic Thunder.

Pretty obvious on that one.
That said...what would you new top 10 be? Who were your favorite players from this team?

Spin us some yarn, Mr. Jack Hammer...

I don't get sick, don't
observe major holidays.
I'm a jackhammer.

I took intro to philosophy my 5th year Pass/ Fail (after I figured I'd at best get a B) and that made that class so much better.
By the way, I hated that class. What if reality is not reality and it's just a simulation and my brain is in a jar somewhere. Fuck that! Neo was wrong and should have taken the blue pill.

We used a 9-point scale for GPA. A+ was a 9.0. A was an 8.0. Led to some bullshit-looking GPAs for job applications, but luckily nobody really cared.

In the b-school it was worth a 4.4, as least when I was there. But they only gave out a maximum of one per section (65-ish students), and didn't give out in every class. Basically a reward for literally acing a full class.
I got some in LS&A / other classes too, but they were only worth 4.0 as most folks know.
January 5th, 2016 at 12:53 AM ^
You can indeed, but most professors don't do it because it doesn't change the GPA relative to an A
January 5th, 2016 at 4:27 AM ^
I have gotten them. It contributes to the psychic income you get from reviewing your transcript but does not add additional points when calculating GPA.
January 5th, 2016 at 9:16 AM ^
I got an A+ in an English class.
January 5th, 2016 at 9:47 AM ^
You definitely still can (I got one this semester).
However, it's essentially meaningless as it's still a 4.0 so GPA wise it's no differet than an A.
January 5th, 2016 at 10:43 AM ^
I got an A+ in 2009 FWIW. Not sure if its changed since then. I'm not trying to brag, the professor gave 0 shits about grades.
January 5th, 2016 at 1:50 PM ^
The downside is the enforced 1st year curve with median score between B- and B.
Didn't go to M undergrad; perhaps it works differently there and no A+s are awarded.

...that this dude is telling us exactly what we want to hear, but the writing is terrible... and his only credentials include a $50 a year membership to the $50 a year Football Writers Association of America... and the fact that he was educated at Rutgers* and solicits content with...
We have no deadlines or quotas. Deadlines and quotas kill passion. Write what you want, when you want.
Is this not Bleacher Report without the editorial standards?

He said Indiana does what Indiana does: score a ton and give up a ton. (Unless that was s/ and it went over my head... entirely possible)
January 5th, 2016 at 4:01 AM ^
Yeah, it was about as informative as just looking at the final scores.
Michigan 41, Florida 7? A+
Wisconsin wins a close one? B+
January 5th, 2016 at 12:06 AM ^
I give us an A, not an A+. Another dumb penalty kept Florida's only scoring drive alive.

They don't deserve an F for being put in a game they never had a chance in. They're the 3rd best team in the B1G but over-achieved (or more accurately 'lucked') their way into the playoffs. Ditto Iowa as the 4th best.
January 5th, 2016 at 4:37 AM ^
Michigan, impressed.
OSU, I thought they could win but could not bring myself to pick for Ohio. Strong OL and DL.
MSU, could not establish the run with Bama not needing to offer safety help. When Cook got picked on the drive before halftime that seemed to break their will to the point where Disrespect could not fix it.
The other UM (Minnehaha)..gotta beat a MAC team.
NW - didnt watch but expected more from a team that won 10 games
Iowa - got blasted. Stanford had incredible downfield blocking to break all of those runs. I think the younger McCaffery brothers each picked up 10+ D1 scholarship offers during or after the game. Also I thought the fake fumble, throw deep play was pure genius and I want it in our playbook. I thought Rudock >>> BeatHard in games against tough competition.
Indiana - thought the D would finally show up. They did not.
PSU - I was wondering how all of the Hackenberg abuse that I saw against M was going to end. Now I know.

2. Northwestern finished in the mid 50s in S&P+, so there really wasn't any reason to believe they'd do well.
3. BeatHard? Really?

I did get a free Bloomin' Onion thanks to Northwestern!
January 5th, 2016 at 9:55 AM ^
Northwestern Their 10 wins was a mirage considering what M did to them. I didn't give them much of a chance against Georgia...I didn't give Northwestern any chance at all to win against Georgia since they were playing Tennessee.

Penn State Played Georgia in Yankee Stadium...

Iowa definitely deserves one for that horrific 1st half performance. But at least they scored some points in the game unlike some other losers.
January 5th, 2016 at 11:19 AM ^
A guy in the comments points out the same thing about Iowa actually scoring some points unlike MSU. I like the author's response. "You're right. F+."
January 5th, 2016 at 9:18 AM ^
Ohio gets an F in everything football related. No class = No pass
January 5th, 2016 at 9:21 AM ^
I particularly enjoyed MSU and Iowa receving Fs. The general opinion of state is that they were lucky to finish 12-1, so getting blasted was a justified comeuppance.
With Iowa, I was so giddy to see Rudock go out big while the team that kicked him to the curb got stomped. Just deserts.
