MBB: Kenny Williams to UNC
I thought I'd post this in case anyone wondered whether Michigan might be able to get back into Williams' recruitment. An interesting - if academic - question is whether Michigan stopped recruiting Williams because they thought Brown was theirs (as board chatter suggested). Either way, though, Williams is off the board.
BRING BACK MAX

I just thought I traveled back in time to Saturday.
...was there?
I didnt see a top 100 player seriously coming here once Caris returned. He had no major role as a freshman. I think he was (correctly) being recruited as a Caris replacement. Once that fell through he was basically competing with MAAR for 5 minutes most nights as a backup. Spike will probably be playing some 2 guard sets with Walton as well so on nights there was not a quick 2 on Caris I just didn't see a role for him as a freshman.
Considering what is going on at UNC right now, Williams obviously didn't make the choice over academics.
Yep, I'm sure the same academic issues that got them into hot water are still continuing today. Great take.
Regardless of whether or not those practices continue, UNC's academic reputation has taken a pretty serious hit that will take some time to recover from.
I like Caris LeVert
Max. Max. Max. Max.
MAX! MAX! MAX! MAX! MAX!
Apparently the UNC coaching staff wasn't even expecting him to commit. They thought he was going to UVA for sure.
I'm not a "professional" scout but I have an opinion based on intensely detailed observation. I have been STUDying Austin Davis' highlight film and I noticed something no one has mentioned.
HE NEVER MISSES A SHOT IN PRACTICE OR GAMES.
Sometimes we miss the obvious.
Starting 2016 we can't lose, just feed it to AD.
It's hard to get very excited about a player who won't see the court for over two more years. Is it a given that he'll RS in 2016? For that matter, is it really a slam-dunk that Spike will be able to return to the court with no issues after having surgery to both hips?
...it would make sense to redshirt either Teske or Davis for the purpose of spacing out the centers among the classes. Otherwise your centers in 2016 are Doyle and Donnal as juniors and Teske/Davis as freshman.
Bill Walton was a spaced out center
He was really good at basketball..
So I would agree it would be good to get our centers spaced out.
I believe Walton may have succeeded in spite of being spaced out. Further testing of spaced out centers is needed, if nothing else.
"And he's only 16 with a extra year in prep school and a RS in 2017 he should be vastly improved by then"
So with all that improvement he should go from not missing any shots to making every shot?
Y'know, when I watched Sam McGuffie's mixtape it was the same sort of thing—every time he touched the ball he was hurdling guys on his way to 70-yd touchdown runs. I couldn't believe it when he didn't do the same thing here.
AKA
Kareem Abdul Jabbar
Was he a spaced out center ?
Are these the exceptions to the rule?

I thought this happened a few days ago?
I still think we are in good shape.
At what point will it be MGoAcceptable to regret that Bielfeldt was encouraged to "pursue other career opportunities"??

They are needed for two reasons: stop penetration in the lane and grab the loose boards that become easy put-back opportunities.
