Get paid big fella.
Do Right And Kill Everything, Drizzy
January 15th, 2024 at 1:56 PM ^
Best of luck, Drake!
January 15th, 2024 at 1:57 PM ^
I wonder where he is projected to go to make the leap more attractive than NIL.
Hope it is the right decision for him!

Why does it have to solely be about money?
He's a national champ, maybe he doesn't think he has anything left to prove by coming back next year.
January 15th, 2024 at 2:16 PM ^
The team does not have anything to prove, players looking for an nfl career might still have plenty to prove. I don't know if he is a starting NFL center now or what, wish him the best either way

Drake Nugent has a Stanford degree, a Michigan degree, and a National Championship. It's time to get on with the rest of his life.
January 15th, 2024 at 3:31 PM ^
Hey if that's how he feels then great.
January 15th, 2024 at 3:35 PM ^
M1817, be got a Michigan degree in one semester?
January 15th, 2024 at 4:34 PM ^
Okay not an academic degree but he has earned the right to be called a Michigan Man.
January 15th, 2024 at 3:36 PM ^
He most likely does not have a Michigan degree. Unless you count his AKB (ass-kicking business) degree from Ross.

Most of these grad transfers and 5th year players are certificate students, not masters students
January 15th, 2024 at 3:07 PM ^
It's interesting to me hearing people talk down how much players at other programs are making via NIL, then turn around and say Michigan can't keep up cuz they aren't willing to let the cash flow while somehow also assuming Michigan players are in line to make more in NIL than an NFL salary.
Like... what?!
January 15th, 2024 at 3:25 PM ^
yes its odd. michigan doesnt have a bunch of guys pulling in 500k plus, at least based on what ive heard/read.
big difference bw getting a free car and 75k or whatever vs the rookie minimum base of 750k
January 15th, 2024 at 2:00 PM ^
WTF, Drake???
I mean, head to the League and earn your keep - because you've earned it and are a National Champion! But dude, this is the day for returns!! LOL!
January 15th, 2024 at 2:06 PM ^
He actually announced yesterday on Twitter

Then the board has failed.
January 15th, 2024 at 2:00 PM ^
he put this on twitter like 20 hours ago and NO ONE POSTED IT?!?! the board is slipping. Good catch, OP.
January 15th, 2024 at 2:07 PM ^
We are all terrified of being 2nd or 3rd :)
January 15th, 2024 at 2:56 PM ^
I definitely went back a few pages to make sure. I pretty much stumbled upon it when looking at some of the return announcements.
January 15th, 2024 at 2:14 PM ^
Its in the Roman Wilson thread
January 15th, 2024 at 2:57 PM ^
Dude deserves his own thread no?

Greg Crippen : "NOW is it my turn?"

Coaches finding another 4+ year starter / captain / borderline All-American Center in the portal
January 15th, 2024 at 2:14 PM ^
Now or never for him !
January 15th, 2024 at 2:02 PM ^
who the next all big ten center in portal ….
January 15th, 2024 at 2:12 PM ^
Think we are about to use one of our home-grown centers...And I am very ok with that...
January 15th, 2024 at 2:18 PM ^
Losing track of all the departures/returns
Where's our OL at now for next year? Hinton - El-Hadi - Crippen - Persi - Trent?
January 15th, 2024 at 2:29 PM ^
Gentry is probably going to be a factor at OT.
January 15th, 2024 at 2:32 PM ^
Trente declared today. So more like: Hinton-Priebe-CripAnderson-El Hadi-Gentry with Persi as heavy TE
January 15th, 2024 at 2:52 PM ^
Just another portal win for Michigan going to the NFL after a great season at Michigan.
Michigan has hit on a huge percentage of transfers since the portal/NIL era has started, particularly the past two seasons.
January 15th, 2024 at 3:52 PM ^
Nugent finishes undefeated in his time here. Wow.
January 15th, 2024 at 4:40 PM ^
That’s an interesting observation. Has that ever happened, or will he go in the record books (along with Barner and any other one and dones from this season)?
January 15th, 2024 at 8:16 PM ^
Thanks for coming here to fill an important role and leaving a champion. I feel like Crippen has been waiting his turn since 2007 at this point.
