This. ^^^ He said he wanted to go to Michigan or OSU. Him going to Louisville says something.

We are deep in the D-Line. While I believe this guys is a talented athlete is he getting snaps over Mason Graham? KG? And we are developing depth behind them that need to see the field. And we offered a different Ivy League DL instead of him.

How is going from playing at Harvard to playing for a Top-15 team that played for the ACC champ a shaqtin a fool moment?

Honestly guys, you are all reaching for some reason to clown on this. The kid said he wanted to go to UM or OSU, but probably isnt that level of player. He is going from playing FCS to for a pretty good L'ville team, good for him, that's a nice step up football wise. He went to Harvard, he was going to have an academic step down almost everywhere he went, but considering he will have a degree from fucking Harvard, I doubt he cares where is going for this one year that is obviously just about football.

Relax, only just joking and a bad one at that even though I don't think many take Shaqtin a fool seriously either. While Michigan with its high profile schedule was a good option with great coaching, I wish Thor the best like I said, and like you said, Louisville is a top 15 program and a big step up.

If you are a guy like him coming from Harvard and its your last year to show yourself to the scouts, you may not want be in a deep rotation that Michigan has. I mean the young DTs may be better than him. It's possible his gets more snaps at Louisville.

M likely said we would like to have you but no guarantees on playing time. It will be earned and no upfront money.

For the right kids who believe and have their eye in something bigger like getting better and the NFL it’s a great fit. If not, no worries, pass.

The culture is front and center now. Team and work over entitlement and money. NIL and portal might be best thing to happen to M. Attracts the right kind of people and recruits while other teams struggle with talent and ego.

Complete speculation on my part.

He may have saw what he was up against for playing time and the work ethic required to get said playing time and wanted an easier path.

EDIT: or, he got the big bag from Louisville

If he made it through four years at Harvard, he should be able to manage the academic rigors at his new destination.

However, I’d think if he wanted to play in the ACC, Stanford might have been a better choice - along the academic line.

Why are people here so shocked? We literally never recruited him. He said he wanted to go to OSU or Michigan, and then didn't get recruited by either school
