SEC/ACC Shorts
I know that their content isn't always that great but this was pretty good I thought. Pretty much explains the whole process of picking the CFP.

If Milrose injured himself scrambling for that last first down, would Alabama have been left out?
If Penix had been injured on that last drive, would Washington have been left out?
If Ewers had been injured in the second half, would Texas have been left out?
I'm guessing the answers would be no, no, and no.

We're down a couple of critical guys ourselves. Some possibility we look back with regret about that going forward. FSU was dicked, pure and simple. Everyone can be a little more cynical.

Always count on Coach Leach to be ahead of the curve:

I miss him. God rest his soul.
And, we’re he alive today, I’d welcome his thoughts on revenue sharing with players. He and Harbaugh might be the only two coaches willing to state their opinion in public.
Thanks for sharing.

I think there actually is a non-zero chance Washington would be left out if Penix was out for the year.

Alabama, yes overtaken by FSU. Washington, no (based on being undefeated + strength of wins) but would have dropped below Texas and maybe Alabama. Texas, yes overtaken by FSU (based on loss). Michigan, no but would not be the 1 seed.

I ... genuinely did not see that coming. Very well done, SEC shorts.

Agreed. That was some nice self-awareness.

Ending it as "ACC Shorts" was brilliant.

They deserve a lot of credit for producing something that objective about something obviously so emotionally loaded for them.

Well done

They did great. I hope Matt Mitchell unloads with the other barrel.

That's hilarious.

I have yet to find one of these funny, but perhaps that's because I
(a) am old
or
(b) have a good sense of humor

Correction: replace "have a good" with "no".

Thought this might be worth sharing...

So FUNNY!!! Thanks!

It was better the first two times it was shared.

I liked how they worked in a Cardale Jones 'play school' reference.
December 4th, 2023 at 12:43 PM ^
OK, that just pissed me off even more.

Paraphrasing:
"But their third string quarterback didn't come to play school."
I chuckled.

The more I think about this the more I don't think the Big Ten has to worry about SEC bias. The ACC and Big 12 are going to be totally screwed by it, but the Big Ten will be fine. If we put all the teams in their conferences for next year and applied it to this years rankings, the Big Ten gets Michigan, Washington, Ohio State and Oregon in the playoff. SEC gets Texas, Alabama, Georgia and Missouri. ACC gets only Florida State. Liberty gets in as group of five. Big 12 gets a spot that goes to...... Arizona? The Big Ten and SEC can then fight over who gets the last spot which would currently be Penn State with Ole Miss throwing a fit because they are SEC.
From a Big Ten perspective we are fine. Sure we could get screwed one year if we are 5th in the Big Ten and the SEC bias puts an Ole Miss in over us, but moving forward anything third or better in the Big Ten is a guarenteed spot and in many years 4th will do.
