I hate to admit this but if this is truly related to Stallions and our coaches, maybe not Harbaugh, were part of the scheme - then yes. The Finebaums of the world are absolutely correct that Michigan shouldn't be allowed in the CFP let alone B1G title game.

We straight up cheated and coaches were part of it.

I'm gonna puke now.

First off, "sign stealing" is not now nor has it ever been illegal. Second, the NCAA themselves has said the rules Michigan have violated give minimal at best competitive advatanges. So no, those fuckers are still no correct here. They're protecting their employers best interest by trying to get someone not aired on said network barred from the CFP.

Balas called this one 100%.

Last week he stated clearly that an assistant coach on defense knew about it. People alluded to minter and partridge and you could tell balas hinted at partridge.

Also pretty clear his main offense was lying about it. Multiple insiders on pay sites mentioning things like "what is worse than the crime..." and "what did your mom always tell you to do when you knew you did or knew something was wrong..."

Three different insiders insinuating his main "issue" was lying about knowing what occurred.

This makes a lot more sense about the settlement. Also, it makes sense that you fire Partridge, Harbaugh has sat 6 games this year and you can make a good case this is 100% done.

Balas has been preparing everyone on this site for this the last week pretty ominously. He's also been saying as of all they know, this is the only big thing left.

This fucker could've came out clean once the CS shit first dropped a month ago.  He would've been fired then.  How did he think this wouldn't be unearthed at some point in the future?  I swear we can never have nice things.

This totally sucks, but I've thought from the beginning that someone on the staff had to have known what CS was doing and that it would be easy to prove.   Having said that, this is still all a bullshit scandal and on the same or lesser magnitude of rule breaking that goes on every single day at almost every program.  We were just the dumbfucks who got caught and now we have to eat our punishment and like it during a potentially historical season.   This is such a Michigan move.

Balas did say last week or the week before that Partridge may have been involved? He said it was one of Minter, Jay, or Partridge – or that’s what second hand info from the boards claimed.

Let’s hope there is a back room deal that is cleaning up this whole mess and the conclusion is near.

I stand by my assertion that B1G acted wrongly here. The NCAA investigation appears to be preceding appropriately and UM is actively cooperating. And UM is acting as appropriate—not waiting for B1G or NCAA—as the investigation uncovers more information. This is what due process looks like, just as we requested.

Aren't we still talking about level two infractions regardless of whether or not a higher level staffer was involved? Or am I missing a tie-in that would make this bigger? It seems to me the punishment already levied still far outweighs any alleged infractions.

SIlver lining: the pressure is now ALL on OSU to win. Harbaugh won't be there, the LB coach just got fired, and there's been enough distractions for this program to last several years worth of news cycles.

If Day loses again, after all of this, he may legitimately be out of a job come next Sunday morning.
