And what Michigan is going to do to OSU and Ryan "Farkus" Day

Upvoted again! Love it.

Noice!

Based on Ryan Day's personal story, this photo is likely from a time not long after the boys' father's death (considering the apparent ages). Just something to keep in mind. It was a time of tragedy and that they could find a bit of joy in that moment is laudable. It makes me uncomfortable to see it used to make fun of Day. (His beard black and "tough talk" do a fine job of that on their own.)
That is not to state that what he and his brother may have or may not have done is an any way ethical or commendable, but trauma messes folks up. The threads of trauma make us who we are, and sometimes that leads to folks doing strange and odd things when they are scared or seemingly perplexed by a challenge in life. Like conspiring to take down a rival off the field instead of on it, etc.

I thought the same thing when I saw this.
There’s plenty of fodder for ridicule from his time at Ohio…. maybe better to respect his difficult childhood.
October 29th, 2023 at 10:50 AM ^
We can psychoanalyze Ryan and hypothesize what might or might not have happened in his childhood, but all I'm pointing out is he has Scut Frakus eyes. That's it and nothing else should be read into my rivalry message board post. Well, maybe add that OSU's football team should have the snot beaten out of it when it plays Michigan later in November and have their coaches completely out coached and embarrassed, yet again, on national TV.

You reap what you sow! He dug his hole of scrutiny we didn’t.

Sunday salutations!
GO BLUE!
October 29th, 2023 at 8:01 AM ^
Happy Sunday! I wonder how much Days brothers snitched on each other when they were young.
Can't wait for OSU game. UM fans need some good news. Hope Ono gets Harbaugh's contract done and hires a good lawyer to combat NCAA.
OSU and PSU did not look good again and hope they continue that trend. Go Blue!
October 29th, 2023 at 8:07 AM ^
Hoping from here on out, Harbaugh shows no mercy in any of the games!
October 29th, 2023 at 8:17 AM ^
I'd like to feel bad for Purdue and UMD for being caught in the crossfire of Janklin's whining and Day's tuffness, but I can't. I'm not convinced that Josh Gattis isn't involved somehow, and Purdue... Well, Purdue put a guy with a broken neck into a van.
I really don't think Harbaugh is going to give a flying rats ass whether anyone thinks he's being 'sporty' anyway. Every time some asshat crapped on his players or program from 2015-2017 he crapped right back. His Twitters are gone now, so the only way he can crap back this time is on the field.
FramesDay thinks they got it in the face last year? I'm pretty sure that Coach Harbaugh will do everything humanly possible to make it worse this year.

Yep, it’s game week. Based off of what I saw from our remaining opponents I’m pretty confident we score 200 points in the next month. Osus D is good but their offense is so bad minus 1 guy that I see us scoring at least 40. Load the box and let Will try and at least slow down MHJ. That guys the best college receiver I think I made ever seen. True nightmare

Mossian but not as fast.

Reminds me so much of AJ Green
October 29th, 2023 at 8:31 AM ^
Every single article the last two weeks is about sign stealing...It's fuel for our team and players. All of these breathless writers might as well be telling the team to their face that they aren't good enough to win without the SIGNS!
Go Blue! Kick everyones' ass and leave no doubt.
October 29th, 2023 at 10:17 AM ^
ESPN literally published a quote that said "no one is that good." What a slap in the face.
October 29th, 2023 at 8:36 AM ^
Ohio State’s defense looked soft last night.
October 29th, 2023 at 8:49 AM ^
ESPN is flat out in the tank for OSU. They have them #1 in the Playoff power rankings (not to me mention Harrison as #1 for the Heisman). Did anybody watch OSU last night and think “best team in the country?”
October 29th, 2023 at 10:17 AM ^
I don’t listen to ESPN that much; however, NBC’s announcing crew certainly has a major case of “man crush” for both ND and OSU.
I watched the OSU - Wisconsin game and can only hope that every media outlook continues to praise how great the Buckeyes are - with Michigan standing little chance of defeating Penn State and Ohio State. Please, Please, PLEASE - keep saying / writing how Michigan can’t keep up with those two other B1G East teams.
October 29th, 2023 at 8:50 AM ^
If Wisconsin had a better running game like they have had in the past and Allen played the whole game, they more likely would have beaten them. If you take away McCord's first read and a little pressure, he can be had. Going to be good times.
October 29th, 2023 at 8:41 AM ^
This is how Harbaugh's contract extension should go (pretty much):
Ask him want he wants.
Give it to him.
If Santa or Warde don't get this done before the OSU game, they are fools.
October 29th, 2023 at 9:43 AM ^
Exactly
October 29th, 2023 at 8:42 AM ^
I know everyone is convinced this entire situation will motivate Michigan to roll everyone they play this year. But how is this not possibly a negative distraction to the mood and focus of the team? They are mostly just kids and they are only human after all. And coaches and staff on the team must be worried for their jobs/careers/reputations. I would love to see Michigan come through this mostly unscathed with hell to pay. But I don’t know how this doesn’t at the very least derail the teams iron focus.
October 29th, 2023 at 8:47 AM ^
I’ve thought about that as well. We shall see, but this is a veteran team who are supremely talented and have thousands of practice reps. Unless the coaches lose the team I can’t see anything more than an initial sputter.
October 29th, 2023 at 8:52 AM ^
I thought about this too but I don’t see it. I think this created the ultimate fox hole.
October 29th, 2023 at 8:53 AM ^
I will give one example - MSU game. They knew at that time. MSU QB kept going to sidelines for each signal. How did they respond. They treated them like a G5 team. That is how I know they are going to be focused.
October 29th, 2023 at 9:06 AM ^
Simple, Ben Herbert...
October 29th, 2023 at 9:17 AM ^
Because they know what's going on so watching their behavior should be good clues. I predict they attack the remaining games with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind.
I have difficulty thinking of this team being as good or better without him. Maybe I am wrong but I can't picture it.
October 29th, 2023 at 10:42 AM ^
"But I don’t know how this doesn’t at the very least derail the teams iron focus."
Your post assumes that the staff and players (who seem to have excellent collective resiliency) are taking any of this bullshit seriously.
Letter aside [1], it is pretty clearly bullshit in spirit. It takes place in a world where Duke and Kansas can purchase the best basketball players for ten-plus years and OSU can pay its players way more than Michigan has paid its players.
[1] Michigan could wind up taking some sort of hit here. I'm OK with that possibility.

If you or your kids need a costume for Tuesday.
October 29th, 2023 at 9:43 AM ^
Are you suggesting a Spartan Uniform / Jersey as a Halloween costume? That’s a very scary thought indeed.
October 29th, 2023 at 8:57 AM ^
Somewhat related. “Narduzzi: We lost a lot of good players last year. We thought we'd replace them and we obviously didn't do a good job with that.”
Good sheet coach!
October 29th, 2023 at 9:16 AM ^
Looks like his players didn't respond too positively to that either.
October 29th, 2023 at 9:18 AM ^
He does know they play more games, right?
October 29th, 2023 at 9:26 AM ^
Dayum!
October 29th, 2023 at 9:23 AM ^
WIN. THE. WHOLE. DAMN. THING. Run roughshod through the rest of the B10 schedule and then get angrier into the playoffs.
Anything less will let this shit linger.
First playoff ranking prediction:
1. Uga 2. OSU 3. UM 4. FSU
October 29th, 2023 at 9:44 AM ^
No way OSU is ranked ahead of us. But it really doesn’t matter till after all the games are played.
October 29th, 2023 at 9:49 AM ^
They will be (and should based only on resume, but if that was true they should also be above UGA). The problem is that the CFP, like the polls, can selectively emphasize whatever criteria they wish from week to week.
October 29th, 2023 at 9:49 AM ^
I am getting so sick of the networks and their false narratives. Heather Dinich on ESPN has OSU #1 and UM out of top 4 in her rankings. Another troll trying to act like this whole thing is something. I hope you guys saw Portnoy at the Wisconsin game last night filming. This whole thing is beyond ridiculous and I for one am tired of fake news.
October 29th, 2023 at 9:54 AM ^
Unless Heather Dinich is suiting up November 25th, what she says is meaningless. Settle this business on the field.
October 29th, 2023 at 10:06 AM ^
It is not just her. It is a common theme in ESPN. Just have to keep winning
October 29th, 2023 at 9:56 AM ^
Blow the Boiler Up!
October 29th, 2023 at 10:15 AM ^
The first playoff rankings release this week is yet another thoroughly meaningless bit of fodder.
It does not matter if Ohio State is #1. Beat Penn State, Win The Game.
It does not matter if Michigan is 6th or 7th. Beat Penn State, Win The Game.
It does not matter if Michigan is behind Alabama or the Air Force Academy. Beat Penn State, Win the Game.
There is absolutely zero reason to give even the tiniest damn about the playoff rankings, the polls, the opinions of ESPN or other paid yahoos on Twitter. Beat Penn State, Win The Game.
Winning takes care of everything. Beat Penn State, Win The Game.
Do that (plus beat Purdue and Maryland ldo) and at worst Michigan will be "#2" in the playoff. Which as we know does not mean shit. Just win and get in and anything can happen.
October 29th, 2023 at 1:09 PM ^
Given its cultural dominance, I can't imagine they drop any new story during NFL games, so we've made it to 1:00 and I think we're safe for the day.
October 29th, 2023 at 1:29 PM ^
Go blue, f*ck ohio, beat purdue!
