Metallica rules.
Def Leppard sucks!
I would like a word.
Go Blue!!!!
Metallica is still around? I feel like I've entered a world where time stands still, where no one leaves and no one will...
Moon is full, never seems to change
Just labelled mentally deranged
And nothing else matters.
of their later albums, I think Death Magnetic rips.
My kids liked Death Magnetic so I heard it repeatedly and it rocks.
I otherwise stopped being attentive to Metallica after Newsted left. His mom and mine sold hearing aids in Kalamazoo for decades, which seemed like some brilliant synergy. Create need; sell solution.

My interest in Metallica cooled a lot after I learned more about how they treated Newsted, who seems to be a genuinely good dude, during his entire tenure in the band.
I get Burton was friends with the rest of the band and that he's an all-time bass player, but that was no reason for them to bag on Newsted, who is an excellent bassist in his own right, while he was in. The way they drowned his bass lines during mixing was just vile.
It has riffs for days.
The only problem with it is the brickwalled production -- every instrument is turned to 11.
So true. I tried listening to it a few months ago via headphones and Apple Music, and I had to stop soon after starting. Almost unlistenable! Shame.
There's was a boot leg remastered version out there because the production was so terrible

The abuse of compressors and limiters during the album production phase has been a plague upon the musical landscape for decades now.
Ironic - I saw Rob's shirt over a year ago in an online interview.
Anybody know why Rob's a fan?
Heard it had some link via Greta Van - but not certain.
Go Blue!
Cool story ... Metallica has certain colleges around the country that they pay for students to take a intro to welding class... I was accepted , took it and passed ... it was at GRCC here in Grand Rapids.. don’t know if at 64 it’ll turn into a new career but we will see .. always things to weld on the homestead
weld-un
saw them in November 1991 or 1992 at the Ft. Wayne coliseum.
Search and..........
SEEK AND DESTROY!
They played EVERYWHERE that tour, including the Palace (twice), the L.C. Walker Arena in Muskegon, the Wendler Arena in Saginaw, Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, and Castle Farms in Charleviox.

I saw them at the Silverdome in ‘88 as part of the Monster of Rock concert. LOL, for some reason the Dokken stage had more fans? I stuck with Metallica!
I think Rob's best work was when he was in:
that was my first ever concert of my life, they opened for Queensryche at KWings Stadium. Second was the Metallica concert I mentioned above.
Who the fuck is Rob? Get off my lawn.
Roberto Agustín Miguel Santiago Samuel Trujillo Veracruz
The guy in the Michigan t-shirt, he also plays bass for a hard rock band called Metallica.
he's new, 'sted of someone else
Eh he can walk off a Cliff. Brr. Ton of icy disdain in this comment.
Always cool to see Michigan being represented.
Can't wait to see them in Detroit.
It's not Master of Puppets, but it's closer to that than it is to Load.

Reload did not interest me much. Their album from 5-6 years ago had some good songs on it. Not much publicity as this latest album!
