Isaiah Livers...letting everyone know he is back
We all remember Isaiah as a shell of his former self at the tail end of his UM and start of his Pistons careers because of leg issues.
This posterizing dunk last night reminds us what a fit and healthy Isaiah is capable of doing.

25 years later, I still hate the teal jerseys.
February 25th, 2023 at 3:10 PM ^
But isn't the bottom of your avatar here almost teal?
February 26th, 2023 at 12:38 PM ^
Looks like Honolulu to me.

The story behind the teal jerseys was the owner Davidson's GIRLFRIEND pushed him to change them, to appeal to more women and sell more merchandise. Recall Bison Dele (RIP) wearing them the first time and it looked so ridiculous. Being dick whipped is a dangerous thing.

You mean pussy whipped.

To each their own...

Was he dating Jeanine Pettibone?

Huh? Got a source on that? NBA was pushing changes around that time, teal happened to be a very popular color then, and the team wanted to appeal to a younger fanbase while shedding the "bad boys" image.

Oddly enough, they’re much more stylish for today’s trends than they were back then.

I do not understand the nostalgiic love for them. The Pistons did not win a single playoff series when they had them.

I can't argue, but those Green City jerseys they wear makes them look like the Celtics. Makes me throw up a little in my mouth.

They traded Saddiq Bey which supposedly opened up some playing time for him.

What I wouldn't give to have seen a healthy Livers in 2021
February 25th, 2023 at 4:02 PM ^
Baylor and Gonzaga were loaded that year, but I think with a healthy Livers, we could have beaten either of those two teams. There were times we would have Brooks, Chaundee, Franz, and Livers out there. The defense they brought has been unmatched since

Isaiah!
February 25th, 2023 at 3:09 PM ^
Also, made 3/4 from three!
February 25th, 2023 at 3:48 PM ^
Livers always had sneaky ups. Good to see him healthy. Terrific player and person!
February 25th, 2023 at 4:46 PM ^
Sneaky? Every time he got it on the break he threw it down. Even injured himself doing that once.
February 25th, 2023 at 6:45 PM ^
Sneaky as in you don't expect a finesse player with his body type to posterize your ass.
February 25th, 2023 at 7:07 PM ^
He didn't have quite enough hop in his hops. He went at the rim so hard, maybe took off a bit too early, only managed to keep one hand on the rim, which wasn't enough to hang on given his momentum, then he landed awkwardly. Really unfortunate.

I cannot support the new hair style
February 25th, 2023 at 6:34 PM ^
A shell of his former self at the end of his UM career? He was awesome and then got hurt. They would have been in the final four with him.
February 25th, 2023 at 7:02 PM ^
Exactly. Livers shot 46/43/87 in his senior year and was clutch in big games. The Pistons got lucky he fell to the 42 pick because of that foot injury.
February 25th, 2023 at 9:16 PM ^
I guess the OP is referring to the last handful of games he played before it was revealed that he had a stress fracture. His production was down in those few games. But prior to then he was having a huge season.

The NBA sucks it’s nothing like it was in 80s watching the Bad Boys.
February 25th, 2023 at 8:50 PM ^
That flush was this afternoon. I was there.
February 26th, 2023 at 12:41 PM ^
All the best to Isaiah in the NBA. I hope he can stay healthy.
