Ahem, i believe it’s spelled MeLLLLLLL
November 26th, 2022 at 10:00 PM ^
Those L's are apparently what he's coming for.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:14 PM ^
Sam was saying today (or yesterday I forget) that 5 win teams can become eligible with an academic score. Not sure if they would qualify for that, unless he was joking....
November 26th, 2022 at 9:29 PM ^
He's not wrong. If there are not enough 6-win teams to fill all available bowl slots, then you start looking at 5-7 teams based on their APR score.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:36 PM ^
I checked a couple hrs ago and there was 76 teams with 6 wins.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:50 PM ^
Shit. There are 43 bowl games I think.

Tuck Went
November 26th, 2022 at 9:07 PM ^
MeL better keep that bonus money to himself as a consolation prize, for his enjoyment only. That dude is a bandit for what he has done to msu!
November 26th, 2022 at 9:08 PM ^
Today just keeps getting better and better! Spartan and Buckeye tear cocktail!
November 26th, 2022 at 9:08 PM ^
That's a shame.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:10 PM ^
Bless their hearts!
November 26th, 2022 at 9:10 PM ^
Tuck Tucking’.
Gotta get me a job like that.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:12 PM ^
You hate to see it…
November 26th, 2022 at 9:15 PM ^
Inflation is crazy, MSU had to pay over $3mil per B1G win to Tuck.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:15 PM ^
Hasn't this issue been beaten to death? Why kick them when they're down? I mean Thorne really took it on the chin in this game.
Well at least it was another opportunity for their team to Bond. At times their defense really seemed to handcuff their opponent.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:25 PM ^
Why? They assaulted Michigan players
Their fans blame everyone BUT msu
Michigan players had a flag at midfield today and Osu players walked on by not doing a thing. They took their massive L, msu did not
FYS!
Edit:
I see what you did. I apologize
November 26th, 2022 at 9:32 PM ^
Try reading that again friend. You might detect jest.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:34 PM ^
I read it like five times and finally did.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:41 PM ^
This is where the good ole /s would come in handy.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:26 PM ^
Cus they’re fucking msu. And we just beat osu. You fucking nonce.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:29 PM ^
HeHeHe
November 26th, 2022 at 9:32 PM ^
Why? Because fuck MSU and their violent, unhinged, mentally weak culture! That's why!
Edit: Well whack me over the head, I completely missed what you were trying to do.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:33 PM ^
I see what you were trying to do but your puns didn't really land. Nice try, though.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:55 PM ^
Thanks.
That whole situation and the likely watered down outcome bothers me. I just picture Gemon Green's father driving up from Texas to have a few moments with his son who is hurrying to see him before he has to drive back and this happens.
If someone concussed my son off the field like that I don't think being charitable would be my leaning.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:20 PM ^
I've seen some articles saying even at 5-7 they are not out of it because there may not be enough 6 win teams and their APR (or whatever academic ranking) is high because of the number of grad students they have
November 26th, 2022 at 9:32 PM ^
So… Felonious assault dies not factor in?
November 26th, 2022 at 9:40 PM ^
This is true. For some reason they get an APR boost with all their grad transfers.
But yeah, there may not be enough 6-6 teams and then 5-7 teams with high APR scores become considered.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:44 PM ^
According to the article, I think these are the teams MSU is (or was) in competition to get a bowl spot.
Georgia Southern finished 6-6, qualified for bowl game
Louisiana finished 6-6, qualified for bowl game
Missouri finished 6-6, qualified for bowl game
Southern Miss finished 6-6, qualified for bowl game
UAB finished 6-6, qualified for bowl game
Auburn finished 5-7, and has the same APR as Michigan State, but had a higher score last year
Iowa State finished 5-7, and has a higher APR than Michigan State
Rice finished 5-7, and has a higher APR than Michigan State
UNLV finished 5-7, and has a higher APR than Michigan State
_____________________________________________________
Buffalo finished 5-7, and has a lower APR than Michigan State
So, I think the teams above the line have beat out Michigan State for a bowl spot, and Buffalo hasn't.
November 26th, 2022 at 10:03 PM ^
Any conversation around APR should take into account MSU's 7 players charged with a crime.
November 27th, 2022 at 1:09 PM ^
looks like 81 teams have 6 wins or better this morning. of the 5 win teams there is MSU, A&M, Auburn & Miami.
interstingly MSU was 15 AP preseason top25, A&M 6th! Miami 16th, Auburn received votes. This is why i don’t understand why people get so bent about preseason polls? TCU did not receive 1 vote in the preseason!
November 26th, 2022 at 9:20 PM ^
While I enjoy schadenfreude as much as the next guy, I believe MSU will make a bowl game at 5-7. It may be the Quick Lane Bowl but it will be a bowl.
November 26th, 2022 at 9:30 PM ^
If that happens Michigan fans should show up and root for the other team
November 26th, 2022 at 10:30 PM ^
I would do that at the Quick Lane Bowl. It's a lot of fun, my brother and I went in 2019 when EMU lost a close one to Pitt.
November 26th, 2022 at 10:52 PM ^
It might be more embarrassing for them to back into the Quick Lane Bowl than have no bowl. Pathetic. Take that on the recruiting trail, MeLLLLLLL.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:13 PM ^
They'll want to have the extra weeks of practice though (not sure why teams that aren't bowl eligible can't have them since they need them more than anyone, also there are way too many bowls to begin with)
November 26th, 2022 at 11:17 PM ^
I don’t know, man, I think I want them to have as much practice time with those coaches as possible. They seem to get worse the longer they are at MSU.
😂
