Mo Wagner Is an Actor Now
Mo Wagner has a significant role in the new Netflix movie called “Hustle” about an NBA Scout (Adam Sandler) seeking overseas talent. The movie is trending now on Netflix and has a star studded cast including Robert Duvall and NBA players such as Boban and Anthony Edwards. It is produced by Lebron James. Check it out!
An Adam Sandler movie produced by LeBron James.
Yikes.
True, but this Adam Sandler movie is more "Uncut Gems" than "Jack & Jill".
What I'm trying to say is it's serious. Not supposed to be a comedy.
Interested until I read “produced by LeBron James”… not a fan of His Insufferableness
I wouldn't say Sandler was insufferable for me BUT Uncut Gems gave me new respect for him.
I was referring to LeBron
Right. I recognized that. It was pretty obvious.
But I was picking up on your use of "insufferable" in regard to one of the major figures in the project, James, to mentioned another of the major figures, Sandler.
If you’ve ever seen LeBron flop and whine, you know he’s an actor.
Your grammar is as questionable as your veracity 😒
Did you ever watch Survivor’s Remorse on Starz?
"Everybody loves success, but they hate successful people."
No. They hate successful people who think their shit doesn't stink by virtue of their success.
Sincerely thought most Lebron haters were Trump supporters?
Dude, WTF?
I'm a lifelong Laker fan growing up watching Magic Johnson. Lebron James has made it hard to cheer for the Lakers and it has nothing to do with politics. He could easily have been this generations Magic Johnson, but he is so unlikeable, on and off the court.
Most Trump supporters don't give a shit about the NBA.
The only people I find who think that about LeBron are average and/or hateful. Guy has been very successful on and off the court, among the very best to ever be in his profession, and given back quite a bit to many communities.
Nobody is perfect, but I see a lot of projection or baseless hate against James.
Yes, however, while he is stands up for social justice in the US, he didn't give a shit about the rights of the people of Hong Kong while they were, and still are being oppressed by the CCP. He was only worried about his Nike sales in China, so fuck everyone else's human rights as long as they do not effect his Nike royalties. Always, follow the money!
As long as youu hate EVERYONE who profits off of China and other oppressive regimes. Otherwise this is just a bullshit reason to dislike Lebron.
I think he is referring to the Lebron James only seems to care about human rights as long as it doesn't affect his income. In other words, he comes off as very disingenuous and makes one wonder if he really even sincere about domestic issues. On the other hand, Enes Kanter has been very outspoken about the Chinese government's treatment of its people at the risk of income.
I don't normally get involved in these discussions online, but dogging Lebron and judging the entirety of his character for not personally doing something about China is some very misplaced rage. In a hypothetical world, he makes a big statement about it and people tell him to stay out of politics or do something to help the people in his own country. Expecting Lebron to be this perfect human being who dedicated his being to solving all of the world's injustices while also being a coldblooded killer on the court who never loses and constantly plays at the absolute top level of his game without showing any emotion and never arguing a call is quite an absurd expectation.
Lebron's China tweet is only brought up to try to discredit his advocacy in America. Most of those same people have no problem with the countless business, celebrities, and politicians making money in China while doing nothing about it or pretend to be tough on China.
Right. Exactly. Until these same people holding China against Lebron cut out all Chinese products from their life and quit their jobs at companies that have any ties or use Chinese products (because the human rights crisis in China needs to be stopped and stood up against even if it means they take a hit to their own income, right?), I'm going to call bullshit on this one.
When you interject yourself into the human rights discussion as being the gold standard and continually step into that arena, you should be judged by your decisions. You're giving a blatant false dichotomy. Calling Lebron hypocritical for his very public stance on social issues when he continues to not only profit from one, but refuses to address a very blatant one does not mean that the only option is that you go live on a farm on an island and never use another product. It means that as someone with a platform, you expect that Lebron would conduct himself in a way that wouldn't leave him to such open criticism.
I learned about liberation theology in college. Christians are supposed to fight against sin. The problem is that there is a lot of sin in the world. Do you just worry about your sin? Do you worry about your families sin? Your country's sin? Another country's sins? Liberation theology says that Christians shouldn't rest so long as there is any sin in the world. It isn't enough to defeat racism in the US, you also have to over throw the child labor sweat shops in China.
In theory I agree with Liberation Theology. We should make the world a better place for everyone and not stop until we're living in a utopia. In practice it is too hard. To quote Flav-o-Flav, "I can't do nuttin for you man. I got problems of my own."
Are you serious? You think because he doesn't speak out about China that he doesn't care about racism in America? Get real.
Um, no. Nobody said that.
But it is absolutely hypocritical to speak out against an authoritarian regime that's violently attacking protesters while openly supporting another authoritarian regime that's violently attacking protesters in the same time period.
American cops and terrorist groups attacking and illegally detaining peaceful American protests: bad.
Chinese cops/army/organized crime attacking peaceful Hong Kong protests, then mass torturing and raping protesters in Sun Uk Ling: Somehow okay?
Right. Makes total sense.
Enes Kanter also said that people want to criticize the United States they can "keep their mouth shut." He is a hack.
I think you are confusing profiting off and supporting. LeBron James supports the CCP. The global economy is dependent on China. That doesn't mean you need to be a direct advocate.
But let's not pretend China is the real central issue. The man is a bitch and decidedly not the GOAT. I find these truths to be self-evident.
I know a certain former first family member that is selling "Let's Go Brandon" t-shirts sourced in... guess where? People love talking tough about China, but business is business and capitalism is capitalism.
Or maybe he doesn’t want to talk about something he isn’t educated on. Everyone doesn’t need to have a take on everything that is happening in the world. That’s just some bs excuse to talk shit about a guy that you just don’t like.
I’m no Lebron Fan but this is a TERRIBLE take! There are countless corporations and prominent people who do business with China…to single him out as a villain because of that is asinine. Furthermore, he speaks out on social justice issues involving black people. That is the group that he is familiar with and closely associates with. On the flip side how many Hong Kong people are speaking out about the issues that are going on in the black community? Are you then angry and making post to them about their human rights stances?
If you were actually paying attention during the protests you'd know that there were plenty of messages of solidarity between protesters in HK and protesters in the US. Outstanding straw man argument though.
Nobody is saying he's a "villain," so I'm not sure where you're trying to go with that one. But he is a hypocrite, and your opinion doesn't change that.
Also it's racist to insinuate that the only group that he's politically familiar enough with to take a stance is black people. Nice job!
I dislike people who tell you how successful they are going to be before they actually have much of any success and then point fingers when that success shows up late or not at all. Didn't love him coming to the league wearing 23. Don't love the "King James" nickname. Didn't love quitting on Cavs before going to the Heat. Don't love A LOT of things LeBron has done.
There are lots of successful people I love. Couldn't love a guy like Rafa Nadal anymore or Barry Sanders or probably hundreds of others. LeBron has earned the haters.
That said, I like a lot of the non-basketball stuff he's done.
They hate successful people who constantly have to tell others how successful they are.
The really awesome people that I’ve met in my life don’t have to tell others that they are awesome. It’s just who they are, and other people see it.
Admiring people for their success and talent and disliking them for being an arrogant asshole is not mutually exclusive.
You'd prefer he just shut-up and dribble?
I know what you mean, but this was a pretty by the numbers movie. It was a solid meh out of 10. I don't have any issues with it other than it's just predictable and boring. But from a formula standpoint, it's a fine movie. It does what it's supposed to do.
Plus Executive Producer--Kevin Grady. Yea, our Kevin Grady.
