You win.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:00 PM ^
Boilermaker.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:00 PM ^
Would be totally okay with B1G losing to Pitt but Sparta got gifted the backbench ?
December 30th, 2021 at 8:12 PM ^
Totally ok? I'll be delighted. And it's not B1G vs. Pitt, it's MSU vs. Pitt.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:28 PM ^
Agreed. Sparty can kiss my ass. Go Pitt. Panther...Up or whatever they say.
December 30th, 2021 at 11:12 PM ^
Jesus Fucking Christ Narduzzi….how many 3rd and 10 do you play soft coverage and give up an 11 yard button with zero pressure. Putrid dude. You literally had like 10 defensive stop plays that win the game for you.
Just embarrassed for you almost as much as I’m pissed you gave Tuck life.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:01 PM ^
These bowl games out side of the cfp are ass. CFB in general is ass. Transfer Portal. Opt Outs. Early signing period. NIL...
December 30th, 2021 at 8:05 PM ^
You must have missed the Purdue v tenn game. Very entertaining.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:43 PM ^
Yeah, Curious George was right on Harbaugh but is totally wrong on this. The games have been a blast for the most part.
December 30th, 2021 at 9:13 PM ^
Agreed. Watching that game was crazy and worth watching until the very end.
December 30th, 2021 at 9:09 PM ^
The best part was watching the SEC getting “reffed”! Oh, the outrage!
December 30th, 2021 at 9:32 PM ^
Whats entertaining about a coach(Heupel) not giving his team a chance to win.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:11 PM ^
Lol one of the best games of the entire season just went off...what are you talking about?
December 30th, 2021 at 8:12 PM ^
Iowa St./Clemson last night was really good as well.
But it's the drinking thread, so if you want to bitch just to bitch...my apologies, by all means, carry on.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:14 PM ^
Clemson-ISU was close, I don’t think you can call a game with that level of QB play good.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:18 PM ^
You're right, you couldn't...although I think Purdy is getting killed for a couple of fluke-ish plays.
I still enjoyed the game. Guys playing hard, close game that went down to the final possession. Big plays here and there. I'll take it.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:21 PM ^
Purdy kept bugging out of the pocket and always ran against his throwing shoulder resulting in weak off balance throws. When you leave to that side, you just need to take off and run.
December 30th, 2021 at 11:18 PM ^
His play vs Clemson just wasn't at all Purdy...
December 30th, 2021 at 8:16 PM ^
i wouldn't say it was one of the best games. But it was certainly one of the most fun. Since this is partly a drinking thread, I'll say that I needed to go into the kitchen to refresh my Knob Creek Special Rye Manhattan, but couldn't tear myself away from the tv.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:21 PM ^
From beginning to end, if ESPN does their Top 25 games of the year in the dog days of summer next year...I think you have to add that one.
Even if they did top 10, it might be on the cusp.
If you're a neutral college football fan, I'd say it favored comparably to Michigan/Nebraska.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:24 PM ^
+1 for Knob Creek...been enjoying some Elijah Craig this week also smooth and tasty
December 30th, 2021 at 8:37 PM ^
Both are solid pours??
Enjoy ?
December 30th, 2021 at 9:28 PM ^
In general I agree. It’s more like 2022 preseason than a 2021 post season based on the opt outs and whatnot. I’ll still watch though, football season is a precious, limited commodity.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:11 PM ^
Finishing up a tasty IPA and will then be pouring some bourbon (Evan Williams) after the kiddos go to bed. Hopping for some good games tonight! Can’t wait till tomorrow!!
December 30th, 2021 at 8:15 PM ^
Hoops, football, wood stove has been lit all day
December 30th, 2021 at 8:49 PM ^
Good to have to back X (if I haven’t told you yet)
no red pop tonight?
December 30th, 2021 at 9:06 PM ^
hi doc and thank you.
yes, do have a splash of red pop going. dear wife is dishing out venison backstrap quesadillas, left over from bbq that we had last night. out of this world.
December 30th, 2021 at 9:14 PM ^
I had some northern Michigan venison several days ago that was prepared by a competent chef. Great dining experience ...
December 30th, 2021 at 9:50 PM ^
good stuff. and the back strap of a deer/moose/caribou is the equivalent of the tenderloin of a cow. it is exceptionally good nutrition and the taste and texture is really second to none.
December 30th, 2021 at 10:12 PM ^
damn … I jealous not gonna lie.
Did get some venison jerky from a co-worker who was raised UP, went to Mich Tech, and whose parents still hunt for much of their food … extras get shipped to Ohio where I get to occasionally eat some good Michigan white tail
December 30th, 2021 at 10:22 PM ^
doc, i'll make the same offer to you that i have made to (and followed through with) a number of mgobloggers. if you make it up to northern michigan we can make contact through back channels and you come visit the farm. bring a cooler and i'll send you on your way with a 'care package' of some of what we raise and/or hunt around here. just had another mgoblogger up here yesterday and it was a pleasure to once again meet one of the fellow michigan fans in person.
December 30th, 2021 at 10:57 PM ^
Was planning a week up there this summer. Traverse or Cadillac and then maybe hit Tahquomenon Falls.
I will keep this in mind. Thanks for the offer X

Very glad to have you back. Was not pleased when you were unfairly booted. Go Blue.

Marry him why don't you.

Saving the booze consumption for tomorrow. My favorite bar will be closed (?? On NYE ??), so I'm watching from home and doing the NYE thing here. Got a six of Shed Mountain Ale. For dinner, I'm infusing steak tips with Worcestershire and slapping them in a skillet then sauteing Porcini mushrooms in butter and the skillet drippings. There's a baked potato involved. So...I'll be online here too.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:31 PM ^
The MSU-Pitt game is the polar opposite of the Purdue game.
It’s a damn shame Pitt has no way to get the ball to their WRs and the game feels like a very slow motion blow out as their defense wears out.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:42 PM ^
It was really starting to feel that way and then BAM! Pitt forces a turnover and goes straight down the field. Glorious.
December 30th, 2021 at 9:07 PM ^
I am completely happy to be completely wrong.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:37 PM ^
Finnish Long Drink (gin and grapefruit).
December 30th, 2021 at 8:40 PM ^
I am drinking hot chocolate and watching Sparty get in a dog fight with a Pitt team led by a third string QB.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:41 PM ^
Red pop in my cup. I always thought that sounded weird.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:50 PM ^
it'll grow on you. i have some red pop in a coffee cup right now.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:56 PM ^
Red pop and Moon Mist are where it's at. Faygo is dank.
December 30th, 2021 at 9:55 PM ^
Rock and Rye is the bomb!
December 30th, 2021 at 8:42 PM ^
Tuck always looks mad. A D’Antonio disciple.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:42 PM ^
Just some Modelos and a few Coke zeros sprinkled in tonight.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:42 PM ^
Two Hearted.
Michigan should try…maybe…like…playing some good basketball.
December 30th, 2021 at 8:48 PM ^
Just took my lab out for drinks and dinner to say thank you for a hard working year.
had a few North Coast Scrimshaw Pilsners and a couple Two Hearted. Now that I’m home, I’m hitting the PBR and some fantastically delicious raspberry kettle sour from some microbrew in Minnesota.
My son and I killed a 1/5 of both Crown Royal and Chicken Cock last week so I’m sipping Old Forrester Prohibition (115 proof) until I get the to he store tomorrow to restock
December 30th, 2021 at 8:59 PM ^
Not going to lie, when I first read your post I was like, "You took your dog out for drinks and dinner?" Maybe I should put the booze away.
