BEAT IOWA!
November 30th, 2021 at 7:18 PM ^
The committee says FUCK notre shame …… beautiful
November 30th, 2021 at 7:43 PM ^
I also thought that was pretty cool well as when they insinuated that "hell yeah" we'll certainly take into consideration what a piece of shit Brian Kelly is. LOL
November 30th, 2021 at 7:19 PM ^
Kudos to Herbie taking a dig at Pollack. "You still thing Michigan St should be ahead of them because of head to head?" Pollack was speechless, probably paralyzed with rage.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:32 PM ^
I didn’t get to watch so thanks for posting this. It makes me happy that Pollack got called out for his MSU love fest.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:39 PM ^
Then Herbs starts to clap.....I did not know Herby was a M fan.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:51 PM ^
Weirdly…He and Galloway defended us that week. They both pointed out that we were up 30-14 in that game.
November 30th, 2021 at 8:14 PM ^
Thats because they wanted all the style points they could get in a victory against U of M. The knew MSU was trash just playing above their heads to win their superbowl. Dont let Herbie fool you again.
December 1st, 2021 at 1:24 AM ^
No i think it's because they wanted to use the argument that OSU should have been ahead of Oregon despite the h2h result.
November 30th, 2021 at 8:28 PM ^
Yes. He abhors the OSU low wattage fanbase.
November 30th, 2021 at 8:52 PM ^
Yes, all of them laughed at him and it was glorious. His cheeks were so red.
November 30th, 2021 at 10:24 PM ^
Does anyone have video of it?
December 1st, 2021 at 1:19 AM ^
The committee is a bunch of ADs right? Did the announcers ever point out they might have ranked Oklahoma low for ruining Big 12, and MSU low because Kevin Warren tried to end football last fall?
November 30th, 2021 at 7:19 PM ^
Thank goodness we're not playing Purdue this Saturday!
November 30th, 2021 at 7:19 PM ^
Somewhat interesting that (if we beat Iowa, no jinxes) the first year we'll make the playoff is a year that we would probably have made the BCS national championship.
November 30th, 2021 at 8:31 PM ^
Still hasn't totally sunk in yet. I just never dared to dream of a Big Ten championship and a CFP berth this year
November 30th, 2021 at 10:41 PM ^
Same. I even told my girlfriend during Penn State week that I predicted we'd have the same result against both PSU and OSU. It just felt like if this team could win at PSU, they weren't going to squander the opportunity to win the Big Ten East at home (I also assumed OSU would beat MSU along with that).
And yet, it still hasn't fully sunk in that... it actually happened. What a season!
November 30th, 2021 at 7:19 PM ^
Herbstreit with the shot at Pollack was great.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:19 PM ^
Thank goodness we're not playing Purdue this Saturday!
November 30th, 2021 at 7:19 PM ^
What colors are Michigan fans wearing on Saturday to support the team? Iowa jerseys will be black and yellow so not sure if their fans also wear yellow. Are we wearing maize or blue?
November 30th, 2021 at 7:33 PM ^
All I know is I hope they're wearing blue pants.
BLUE PANTS!!!
November 30th, 2021 at 7:53 PM ^
Anyone know if we are the “home team” due to our better record?
November 30th, 2021 at 8:00 PM ^
We’re the road team. It rotates between the East and the West.
November 30th, 2021 at 9:29 PM ^
This year, we've smartly worn whatever uni's help us stand out from our opponent. So vs red teams (Maryland, Ohio State, Wisconsin), we've worn blue pants (or all blue) and versus the blue or green teams, we busted out the maize pants (MSU, Penn State). Went all white vs Nebraska.
So if I had to guess, it's blue pants city, baby! Our secret weapon :-)
November 30th, 2021 at 7:59 PM ^
Serious question- why do they get to wear their home colors when they are the lower ranked team?
In other words, how is it determined who wears home/road?
Edit- bklein appreciate ya.

BEAT IOWA!!
November 30th, 2021 at 7:19 PM ^
If Oklahoma State beats #9 Baylor, would they jump Cincinnati to third (assuming Alabama loses to Georgia)?
November 30th, 2021 at 7:19 PM ^
This makes sense - assuming UGA beats Bama (not a certainty) and we beat Iowa (also not a certainty) that wold likely have us playing Cincinnati and UGA playing Ok St (assuming they beat Baylor).
November 30th, 2021 at 7:26 PM ^
Potentially, but Cincinnati has to play Houston and NTOSU has already beaten Baylor. If they thought NTOSU was better, they'd probably already have them ahead.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:32 PM ^
If there is justice in the world, then yes. Cinci should never have been fourth. When SMU-SMU, was treated as a statement win enabling them to move up, you know we are voting charitably, instead of looking at 10 of their wins as fraudulent for playing terrible quality opposition. They can't beat any of the top four, and maybe only 1-2 of the top ten, in a playoff scenario.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:53 PM ^
You don't know who Cincy can or can't beat. What we do know is that they can beat a top-6 team.
Playoff games have been shitty games for as long as they've existed. Many blowouts have occurred. So that isn't an argument' that they "can't hang".
November 30th, 2021 at 9:38 PM ^
usually one or sometimes both the semifinals are blowouts, they're the frauds, and the committee doesn't seem to understand where they went wrong. Here are the real frauds (get it!):
FSU, losing 59-20 to Oregon
MSU 38-0
OSU 31-0
OU, twice 37-17, 63-28
ND, 30-3
Maybe even Clemson 24-6 to Alabama.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:32 PM ^
I think Oklahoma State jumps Cincinnati if both teams win.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:39 PM ^
Depending on the margin of victories, I think so too. I could see them wanting to reward the top seed (UGA) with the perceived weakest opponent (Cinn). Interestingly, the fancy stats (S&P+) actually have Cincinnati higher than Ok State (and UM!), so perhaps facing Ok St would be the preferred result.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:34 PM ^
I think the committee would do that to give Georgia the easiest opponent whether or not they did enough to jump UC.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:42 PM ^
I think we beat Iowa, and if we play Cincinnati I think we can beat them. So we would be in the championship game, probably against Georgia. Never know what happens in a championship game
November 30th, 2021 at 7:51 PM ^
I would think so, unless they just scrape by and Cinci wins in a blowout
November 30th, 2021 at 7:57 PM ^
I think they will.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:57 PM ^
As much I would like that, I think they’d put Cincy at 4 and have Ok State jump them.
Georgia has earned the privilege of playing the weakest playoff team, and I think that would be Cincy.
November 30th, 2021 at 8:37 PM ^
November 30th, 2021 at 9:10 PM ^
I think they do, and now with OkSt up to #5 it won't cause much controversy
November 30th, 2021 at 9:36 PM ^
Yes. The committee would believe OSU is the better team, and honestly Georgia as the only undefeated power 5 team earned the right to play the #4 team talent wise which if it’s UGA, Michigan, Ok St, and Cincinnati, it would be Cincy
December 1st, 2021 at 12:52 AM ^
Probably not since Cinci plays a real opponent this week as well, but that will be a heated debate. And if Bama beats UGA, that'll be for the fourth spot so would be a lot more riding on it. My guess is Cinci stays ahead if they both win, but might also matter how convincing each respective win is (a la OSU crushing Wisconsin by 59 or whatever in 2014 and passing a couple teams that also won).
December 1st, 2021 at 1:11 AM ^
If Oklahoma State beats #9 Baylor, would they jump Cincinnati to third (assuming Alabama loses to Georgia)?
I don't think so. ND is now locked in (they are done playing) as a better win for Cincy than what Ok State's best win would be.
There is a lot of momentum this year to treat Cincinnati as if they were a P5 team. Dropping them back for staying undefeated would be a bad look for the CFP committee.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:22 PM ^
Why do you have an issue with where OSU is ranked? Aren't they certainly the best 2-loss team? I thought they should have been ahead of ND. No one thinks ND beats OSU on a neutral field.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:31 PM ^
This, I expected OSU 6, ND 7
November 30th, 2021 at 7:34 PM ^
Recency bias. Ole Miss has looked better more recently, IMO, as has Baylor. Oregon getting blasted by UU doesn't support putting them back in front of o$u, but M just blasted them, so idk. The Ducks bullied them in their own house.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:36 PM ^
Ole Miss got lit up by Bama
November 30th, 2021 at 8:18 PM ^
Ole Miss also lost to 6-6 Auburn. OSU's losses are to 2 top-10 teams and blew out MSU. Ole Miss doesn't have a great win (maybe a home win against TAMU). I'd still put OSU ahead of them.
November 30th, 2021 at 7:22 PM ^
As expected. Beat Iowa and book hotels in Dallas area. UGa wins and they will choose to play in Miami. Bama wins and they’ll jump us to #1 and also choose Miami imo. Bama winning would be bad as it would likely drop UGA to 3 - no chance committee would put Bama/UGA as a semifinal game.
