I'm all in for Bronny "Don't call me Brony" James.

I just assume he is all Buckeye if he goes the college route. Kind of a humbling tumble though with all the eyes on him all the time.

Or he could stay out west with his dad. UCLA/USC are options. I bet SDSU would love to have him.

I don't know how close LeBron and Juwan are, but he might want his kid to be taken care of by someone he trusts from experience.

Certainly tighter with Howard than Chris Holtmann and any other coach who isn't Coach K (who will be retired by then)

I doubt he comes to college. DWade just got his son onto a GLeague team since he’s part owner of the Jazz. Bronny is much higher rated than Zaire.

My Little Brony?

Sheesh, Mgbako could almost be Mgoblue. I mean we gotta land that guy, right?
October 14th, 2021 at 10:49 AM ^
It would be a good start for his NIL marketing.

Mgoblue? What about Mgoblog?

Elmarko Jackson is a 5 star in my mind. The kid floats effortlessly and has a nice high release on his jumper with a plus handle. Good lift too. The game seems to come easy to him(competition caveats apply). Would love to see him in the fold for 2023. Marlin’s nephew if Im not mistaken.

Agree. He seems absurdly under ranked at #76.

Matas Buzelis sure shot up the rankings.
Love that player, but seems to have taken a Lively esque jump ... hoping that Michigan's former Lithuanian players made his family interested in watching Michigan

Buzelis is definitely an interesting player he's another one of those kinda Franz/Filipowski types who is 6'10" but can do so many things with the ball

DaJuan Wagner Jr. Wow; his dad was one of the most talented teenagers I have ever seen. Interesting his son still went to Camden and not a prep school.
October 14th, 2021 at 11:25 AM ^
He's only in the 11th grade, there's still time for one of the big prep school to lure him away. But Camden HS is the family tradition. Grandfather Milt and his pops went there. Plus they have a friend of the family coaching there, former Temple star and NBA journeyman Rick Brunson is there to guide his maturation process. He's in pretty good hands at the moment.
Note: Wow, ironically, i joined the site the day after you. Still following behind you i guess.

Oh wow. I just haven’t heard about Camden and producing college athletes since Wagner Sr. was there. Without injuries and/or health issues Sr. could have been a perennial all star. Pure basketball talent, he was as impressive as Lebron was as a HS player

Camden is pretty good at basketball. They've had someone recently go to Kentucky, and a couple other D1 prospects. Who knows how long they're run will last but they're the best public school in the state and up there with all the major private schools.

I just Peyton Manning'd my office and yelled "Omaha, Omaha". My secretary must have interesting conversations at home with her husband.

Outside of Elmarko, who are we in good position with early?
October 14th, 2021 at 12:42 PM ^
Gabe Cupps already visited, but not sure where we stand with him
October 14th, 2021 at 11:57 AM ^
We should get Joey Tribiani to help that last guy. He’s good at Cupps.

With Jett officially in the bag, it seems like it's the time to shift to 2023 (with eyes still on Traore and Dailey, of course). Very curious how this class shakes out. Early on, it looks like we'll continue our general strategy of chasing a mix of 5* types first, and building around 2-3 year players and strong high floor 4 year players.
I think there are 2+ spots available (Moussa Diabate -> NBA, assumption of only going for a grad transfer in the portal next year, then possible transfers out). I think a big, a combo guard, and an athletic wing should be our top priorities.
October 14th, 2021 at 12:49 PM ^
Most accounts have said Houstan is a lot more likely to leave after one year than Diabate is fwiw
October 14th, 2021 at 1:33 PM ^
Yes I am accounting for him being gone after 21-22 and Diabate to be gone after 22-23 as a 2 and done
October 14th, 2021 at 2:30 PM ^
Youre right, sorry I misread your post.

I’ll talk some 22 here instead of starting a whole new topic. Ernest Udeh is getting multiple crystal ball picks to Kansas. That’s relevant to us for two reasons. One, Matt mentioned him and Traore as the only two options for our last spot. Two, speaking of Traore, Kansas, Michigan and Memphis were the three places mentioned for where Traore’s “inner circle” person was looking to relocate to. If Kansas gets Udeh, then we are just battling Memphis for Traore as of now. I don’t like battling Memphis when someone needs help relocating but worst case scenario we get a portal big or Johns stays another year.

Remove Bronny. He will end up in Columbus, despite any friendship his dad has with Juwon. I know Labron always wished he'd have been a Buckeye and now he'll live that through his son, and hopefully we pound the tar out of them every game.
