Same, it is by far my favorite weekend of the year
My wife doesn't like it.
I don't get why.

Walker is lights out so far.

That should be a flagrant 2 and you ignore the response. Yikes.
March 20th, 2021 at 12:47 PM ^
If that's a flagrant two the hottest shooter in the tournament so far is done for the day.

Looking at it again, I like the F1. Looks like he was trying to keep himself from lots of harm due to his legs being out from under him.
March 20th, 2021 at 12:49 PM ^
That should have been a flagrant 2.

Was really surprised they went with an F1. Seemed like pulling him down intentionally by both shoulders would be excessive contract.

You know, I thought Georgetown was a sneaky Sweet 16 pick. They look like they’re about to get run out of the building before the first half is even over.
Georgetown can’t even hit a free-throw. Meanwhile, Colorado just can’t miss from three.
I thought the same thing about Georgetown. Too bad they are fecal.

Georgetown looks like a 1990s NBA team. All iso jumpers!
March 20th, 2021 at 12:57 PM ^
Coach cred checks out.

Glad I took Georgetown +6

FSU has some tall fellas on their team.
That’s their thing the last few years.
Colorado could be dangerous. I haven’t seen them much, but they are impressive.
I think the knock on them was that they were stalwarts at home in the high altitude, but Little sisters of the poor on the road. Maybe that will prove to be incorrect.
Apparently, the lower altitude positively affects there 3-point field goal percentage,
Indeed, I just checked the box score. They are smoking hot right now.
Colorado represents a clash of MGoMemes: Brian’s altitude versus Ace’s free throw shooting.
CU has one of the best team FT shooting percentages of all time. Per Ace, that translates to good 3 point shooting.
I think the altitude thing is overrated for basketball. It’s not like baseball where breaking balls don’t break. Guys get gassed a little sooner at elevation. If you have a good bench, you can deal with that.
That’s not just Ace’s view (FT shooting leads to 3pt shooting). It’s a generally-held view.
CU can't play any better. This will be their best half of basketball by far.
Though I wouldn't mind seeing them do this to FSU.
Colorado shooting the lights out right now... G'Town falling back down to earth
Someone should tell Patrick Ewing that he is allowed to recruit at least one player who can make a jump shot.
I grew up on the west coast, and I've been out east forever, but I now understand the bias. Everyone saying that Colorado wasn't good and Michigan State would beat UCLA look silly now. Go Blue! But also, go west coast basketball :)
I've watched a bit of CU this year and I really like McKinley Wright.
They also haven't been quite this good in any other game I've watched.
Well basketball is always going to be a miss or make game. But as someone who hasn’t seen them at all, it’s a recipe for success. Several guys who can shoot. Really good guard in Wright. Decent length and plays D. Plus, someone on telecast said they are one of best teams in country on transition D. That means few easy buckets.
Go Blue, the Champions of the West in the East Bracket!
UNCG is playing well enough on D but they need to stop being sped up on O. They're a couple 3s from right back in it.
Why do they keep working hard on the three point line to get an open shot, and then take a step forward into a two?
It’s not that FSU is doing anything special but UNCG looks more like a play in game 16 seed.
After OSU got beat you have to give a lot of oral to Oral Roberts.
The real question is how many are recovering from their vasectomy?
Looking forward to this LSU-St Bonaventure game
It pisses me off that I won't be able to watch that whole game before the Michigan game starts.
Neither team playing defense and they can’t score as of the 10 minute mark.
UNCG with a furious comeback
A lot of schools have ugly colors. If you’re UNC Greensboro, why would you choose this color scheme?
I’m glad we had the good sense to pick two that go well together.
FSU is about to get a full 2H of a team that believes.
UNGC has played very ungood on O and has made it a one possession game by the half? LFG.
Can someone tell me what I was thinking when I picked Georgetown? Horrible.
Beware of teams that go on conference tourney runs (see also: OSU)
But not...Michigan or Uconn.
Even we didn’t play well in the first weekend of 2018 and needed Poole’s buzzer-beater to survive.
Okay after watching 3 minutes of LSU hoops I can pretty confidently say that Michigan throttles that team if we meet in the next round
Anyone know what time and area our game advances to on Monday or will that not bee announced until tonight?
Over 7 minutes into the game, LSU only has 2 points, and one of their top guys has 2 fouls.
LSU has 2 points in seven minutes. Haha. Love it
LSU couldn’t hit the bayou from the boat the first 12 minutes. They are picking it up but not enough to worry me.
