Cornerback is a football position
August 11th, 2020 at 11:31 AM ^
And you don't want them to be too big or they usually can't keep up with receivers.
August 11th, 2020 at 10:53 AM ^
Guess he's trying to make up for the Spindler gaffe.
August 11th, 2020 at 11:49 AM ^
Is getting a pick wrong a gaffe?
August 11th, 2020 at 12:20 PM ^
I was only half paying attention, but I thought he said on his recruiting podcast that he knew Spindler was going to ND, but Spindler had told him and others not to change their crystal balls.
August 11th, 2020 at 12:26 PM ^
No, more like a guffaw.
August 11th, 2020 at 11:52 AM ^
What Spindler gaffe?
So you are criticizing Webb for Spindler playing the Michigan staff and reporters?
Kid knew where he was going all along but wanted his announcement to be a show. Spindler and his family dramatized the whole thing. They even lead Harbaugh, Dudek, and Warriner on until moments before the announcement.
Your ire may be misplaced.
August 11th, 2020 at 1:28 PM ^
Yes - He admitted this week his massive mistake - noting that he is now ONLY 51 out of 52 correct on the CB.
As noted elsewhere - he did learn late that Rocco was going ND but iirc he said "Spindler had 247 lock the CBs so there wouldn't be a big last-minute swing giving away things before he announced. --Didn't know a recruit could have that much say...
To the OP's question -- I have no idea except I think it is Football based on context - maybe a '22 kid like one of the 5-star CBs? I am guessng Webb has balls in already for Benny, Edwards, and any other "BIG" 2021 prospects...

I'm sure if you Dug a bit you would find something to Reid
August 11th, 2020 at 10:58 AM ^
A 7-footer at CB. I mean, would he even have to run? What number did Tacopants wear? Was it retired, or would Mr. Reid be able to use it?
August 11th, 2020 at 10:56 AM ^
Who cares.
August 11th, 2020 at 10:58 AM ^
I haven't listened to that show in months.
August 11th, 2020 at 11:00 AM ^
Sports talk radio is one of the most boring forms of entertainment on the planet, and that's when there are SPORTS to talk about.
August 11th, 2020 at 12:29 PM ^
Agree completely. Switched to podcasts several years ago, and those are even tough to listen to at times.
August 11th, 2020 at 12:45 PM ^
I think podcasts are as bad or worse...on and on and on about a topic that is exhausted in two sentences yet five people need to throw their five sentence 2 cents worth against the wall.
August 11th, 2020 at 11:39 AM ^
The MGoBlog roundtable on Thursday mornings is the only part I ever listen to (and that in podcast-form). With no active sports, that time slot has turned into Sam and Craig Ross discussing basically whatever Craig wants to discuss. I like Craig, so I still listen to those segments. Bonus - they typically talk through the first commercial break, so only one break in the hour.
August 11th, 2020 at 11:46 AM ^
I’ve pretty much given it up. He no longer gets any recruiting news that hasn’t already been posted by others first and he has been big-time trolled and wrong on some others. The show has gotten quite political and far-left, with too much Harbaugh, player, and social ass-kissing. If you listen closely, the message is the same every day.
August 11th, 2020 at 11:56 AM ^
You sound angry and hurt. Isn't the other team supposed to be the snowflakes?
August 11th, 2020 at 12:24 PM ^
Imagine thinking fairly mainstream views are "far left"
August 11th, 2020 at 12:27 PM ^
Hahahaha, “far left”, I can’t even imagine the meltdown in your brain if you were ever exposed to actual far left views.
August 11th, 2020 at 1:06 PM ^
“The show has gotten quite political and far-left”
LOL. You wouldn’t recognize a real leftist if Che Guevara crawled out of his grave and kicked you in the nuts.
August 11th, 2020 at 5:29 PM ^
The “far-left” complaint against Sam is because he is asking, begging and pleading for people to wear a fucking mask.
He said that even if you don’t care about your health or the people around you - do it to save the college football season if that is what it takes to get the morons out there to wear masks.
August 11th, 2020 at 4:05 PM ^
I’m genuinely curious what you define as “far left.”
August 11th, 2020 at 11:01 AM ^
Could be Jaeden Gould or Tyler Morris. Crystal balls been coming in for them.
August 11th, 2020 at 11:02 AM ^
There should be an article on the 24/7 site on this. I am not a member there.
August 11th, 2020 at 11:03 AM ^
Probably Jaeden Gould. He seems like a Michigan lock at this point
August 11th, 2020 at 11:08 AM ^
Are you serious... recruiting is the last thing I am interested in right now.

Who did you used to be on this site?
August 11th, 2020 at 11:30 AM ^
Are you serious? The 2020 season is out of our control. If it gets cancelled, what better thing to do than look towards optimism in future seasons through recruiting?
August 11th, 2020 at 11:08 AM ^
a unicorn type athlete..... like a 6* punter or something

Sam Webb is a slappy. But he is our slappy.
August 12th, 2020 at 3:23 PM ^
Sam hinted on the new recruiting podcast it’s donovan Edwards.
August 12th, 2020 at 10:05 PM ^
Hopefully. Donavan Edwards is the last big piece of our class.
