Do you not wear red and/or green?
How many of you refuse to wear red or green clothing?
How many of you don’t even own any red or green shirts?
On St. Patrick’s Day I have a customink shirt that’s Blue and says the word “Green” in Maize letters so I’m wearing green and don't get pinched.
I ask the question because there is a lot of St Patrick’s Day Michigan stuff coming out. I think it’s just wrong personally seeing stuff like this-
I knew this was your thread when reading the title. <eye roll>
... and he won't even see half of the replies because troll cave.
Yep. His skin is thinner than paper.
I knew this was your comment when I read the username. <pizza roll>
I literally laughed aloud after reading your comment. Well done.
Over-cooked compliment... Medium-Medium Well is preferred.
I wear both of these colors occasionally because I am not a ridiculous person.
The correct response. No one has ever approached me and been like "red shirt huh? guess you hate Michigan!"
I have a green shirt that I like. I have had several people, both Sparties and UofM fans, ask me why or comment on me wearing this shirt. My response is always "It's a green shirt" as I walk away.
There's a difference between Michigan gear that is green or red, which I would not buy, and wearing clothes.
A much bigger problem than all of this is Michigan fans wearing their red jackets / sweatshirts / t-shirts in Michigan stadium. It's wonderful that you're a Red Wings fan, but you spent $90 on a ticket to watch your favorite college football team today - wear something blue or maize today god damn it. If it's the week of the Ohio State game - and I have seen exactly this - you should be beaten.
Exactly this. Someone who refuses to wear red and green is giving those schools ownership over the colors. I'm not going to let OSU and MSU dictate what colors I wear.
Yes, if you wear a Red Wings shirt to an OSU game you're kinda clueless. I've also seen people wear apparel from their high school, which happens to match the colors of the opponent.
Sounds like it's your fault we keep losing to OSU. Try harder you half-fan.
/s
Is this equivalent to a fan saying a player who actually plays in the game didn't/doesn't take beating OSU seriously enough, only the fans don't use the (/s) ?
Yes, that was the joke.
If I only wore Michigan gear, I would never wear red or green.
But I don't, so I do.
I would like to subscribe to your newsletter as well.
The problem with that St. Patrick's Day hoodie is that it's ugly not that it's green. I wear all colors; I'm not gonna miss out on two of the ROYGBIV family b/c of my sports team.
Good call. My family is awesome.
This a serious question? I definitely wouldn't wear that hoodie or shirt, though... woof!
Even if the colors I wore were entirely dictated by sports loyalties (which would be silly), as a Red Wings fan I'd find it difficult to avoid red.
Green is a nice color, and so is red. I like to wear them occasionally.
Do you not wear red and/or green?
Yes, I do, because I'm an adult and only people with the maturity level of 10 year old do crap like that.
So RockinLoud’s point is confirmed.
If it weren’t for Hoke we would be on a 16 game losing streak against them.
Correction, if it weren't for Denard Robinson, we'd be on a 16 game losing streak
This is the truth. Hoke was the reverse RR, decent defense but shit offense. The only thing that saved him from being below .500 as a HC at UM was Denard and a few other RR recruits.
Oh, and yes, Hoke had the maturity of a 10 year old for the whole "Ohio" and not ever wearing red BS.
He was fortunate Al Borges every once in a while would actually have a decent offensive gameplan . 2011 vs OSU (and 2013) was one of them.
Correction x 2: if it weren't for Luke Fickell, we would be on a 16 game losing streak against them
Yeah, idk where all these other people are coming from. Any semi competent OSU worthy coach still beats michigan.
If it wasn't for an overthrown OSU receiver, we would be on a 16 game losing streak.
Hoke was also paid millions of dollars by the University of Michigan, and got tons of free Michigan gear from Adidas.
If UM wants to hook me up with that deal I'll gladly tattoo my dick blue
I'll gladly tattoo my dick blue
You mean yours isn't already? Damn Walmart-Wolverines!! #realfanshavebluedicks
I have a tough time wearing bright red ties, does that count?
I'm a Sunderland fan (because I'm a moron) and I wear red and white all the time. It's actually a pretty good looking color scheme.
Red and white is in deed nice. Black and White is timeless, however, and a full stadium is always a better look than an empty one.
Forgive me, just a bit of good-natured ribbing as being a Newcastle supporter is depressing enough in its own right and poking fun at Sunderland and ManU is about all we've really got.
I'm a grown-ass man so I do wear red and green. However, I wouldn't buy Michigan gear in those colors.
Thats the real question, and Im guessing 99% of us would agree with the OP if he phrased it that way.
He was so close...
If you're a Red Wings fan you wear Red and White.
I'm a Red Wings fan, so hell yes I wear red. And my skin tone is complimented by a nice forest green. And I need all the help I can get!
Perspective would help you.
This is right up there when my Buddy calls in to work sick after Michigan loses a football game.
I don't have much red or green in my wardrobe, and when I do, they're like deep (wine-colored red, for example). I don't consciously avoid it though.
I have a Red Wings jersey, which is the main exception for red.
Sure, i'll wear red. I just don't wear any grey when I do, unless it has a red wing logo on it. The t-shirt looks cool. The sweatshirt is ugly.
I honeymooned in Italy at New Year's. It is an Italian custom to get and wear red underwear on New Year's Eve. Every year my wife buys me a pair of red boxers. I won't wear red boxers on football game days. After X years sometimes the red stuff is the only thing clean....
Most of my shirts are navy (though only a handful are Michigan). I just like the color and as a bigger guy, I'm more comfortable in darker colors than something bright or crazy.
I have a red shirt with some grey in it, which I don't wear on Saturdays in the fall.
I would never consider wearing either...yuck!
Atta boy
Thanks for giving us a break from all the combine nonsense and posting something relevant and important that couldn't possibly be considered a waste of time.
My go to on St. Patty’s is a custom MSU shirt with Morks head photoshopped on a leprechaun and at Christmas I snuggle up in an Buckeye jersey while opening presents underneath my giant portrait of Urban Meyer. This is not a serious answer but this can’t be a serious question
Never. I don’t own any clothing with either color in them.
