Will this help when we play in a citrusy fruit named bowl game?
February 8th, 2020 at 6:32 PM ^
Frick yeah! Orange Bowl, here we come!

Gattis bringing folks together.

how close is this guy to tengwall and rucci?
February 8th, 2020 at 3:24 PM ^
Likely was primary for Tengwall and secondary for Rucci considering his replacement took on those roles when he came on. Gonna be a tough battle if we push for them. PSU has the distance advantage and their new OL coach used to be the OL coach at BC while AJ Dillon was putting up big numbers there

Hopefully we add something in the recruiting department. We lost Partridge, Bush, and Campanile and only replaced them with Jean Mary. Sucks that we couldnt get Clinkscale.
February 8th, 2020 at 3:21 PM ^
WOTS is UM could of had Clinkscale. Campanile fucked them over.
February 8th, 2020 at 3:54 PM ^
Bush did not and could not recruit.
February 8th, 2020 at 5:31 PM ^
He couldnt contact recruits. However he had relationships with coaches and players in South Florida.

Sounds kinda like something a certain linebackers coach has covered now...

We are!... hiring all of penn states former staff. Soon James Franklin will resign to be an analyst at Michigan

Team artist.

Watching the 3 points roll onto the scoreboard for PSU in that GIF never fails to amuse me.
February 8th, 2020 at 4:18 PM ^
Franklin's role as a Michigan analyst will be clock management. Not!
February 8th, 2020 at 5:37 PM ^
Atleast he can recruit.
February 8th, 2020 at 6:51 PM ^
And beat Ohio State.
February 8th, 2020 at 6:57 PM ^
Harbaugh would have too if we had Saquon Barkley and a Penn State whiteout environment when we played them in 2016.
February 8th, 2020 at 3:21 PM ^
Is this good? I want it to be good.
February 8th, 2020 at 6:58 PM ^
Positions coach with OC experience being hired as an analyst? Yes. That’s good.
February 8th, 2020 at 3:21 PM ^
This guy is an excellent coach. He will be a great help to our offense and seems like we are preparing for Warriner to move on. He just has way too good of a resume to stay an analyst. He’s either a one and done or he’s taking the OL job in 2021, IMO.
February 8th, 2020 at 3:26 PM ^
I don’t think Limegrover is as good as Warriner. PSUs OL has been good not great the last couple years. They look a lot better than they are because of some elite RBs

Tangent:
I don't understand how people keep misspelling Warinner's last name.
It's a combo of two simple words: war + inner.
You and the person above you misspelled it.
February 8th, 2020 at 4:00 PM ^
My bad. I didn’t know how to spell it so I copied the poster above me hoping they would be right.
February 10th, 2020 at 12:52 PM ^
Just think, "Can't spell 'Warinner' without 'Winner'."
February 8th, 2020 at 4:25 PM ^
OK, got it; I like the war + inner. How about his first name? E + d.
February 8th, 2020 at 4:26 PM ^
Winner, Warinner
February 8th, 2020 at 5:40 PM ^
Somehow, I don't think Warinner is expected to leave so soon. It's just a low cost opportunity to add a good coaching mind for a year.
I wouldn't be shocked if Limegrover ends up somewhere else instead. There's still a possibility of decent coaching jobs opening up soon.
February 8th, 2020 at 6:01 PM ^
Yeah he was an OC at OSU and that did not go too well.
February 8th, 2020 at 7:02 PM ^
Depending on whether or not MSU fills their staff before December, could be an OL job opening up at MSU (or the vacant spot the new OL coach would create)
February 8th, 2020 at 3:30 PM ^
Can he bring Saquon Barkley with him?
February 8th, 2020 at 3:37 PM ^
"Limegrover" would definitely win the award for Most Interesting Name on the staff....

MGoWisdom:
Any analyst who leaves Michigan is the second coming of Bill Parcells, Bill Belichick, Mike Ditka and Vince Lombardi with the recruiting acumen of Urban Meyer.
Any analyst who arrives at Michigan is kinda okay.
February 8th, 2020 at 7:07 PM ^
Pretty much.
Lose an analyst who was a good high school coach a few years ago to a recruiting coordinator position, and it’s half the fanbase in uproar that we didn’t have him coach safeties. Never mind the fact that we hired a respected defensive coordinator to fill the position instead.
Now to replace the vacant analyst position, we hire a P5 position coach with coordinator experience. And the reaction is... meh.
I don’t get it. I mean I see why certain people aren’t in charge of decisions like this. But these seem pretty cut and dry upgrades/better hires. I can’t speak directly to what work Bush did, but I have to feel like a P5 positions coach is more than qualified to do the same thing.

A pretty good hire as an analyst. I think PSU's running game is extremely boom-or-bust, but they were still able to boom a lot of teams throughout the years and Michigan could always benefit from some more dynamic ground elements.
