We also already have 4* Matthew Hibner in the class

get crushed by OSU, then lose out on top targets heading into signing day, and lose the bowl game
Becoming an annual tradition

Dax Hill would like a word with you on that middle one.

It's disappointing to lose out to PSU for a talented kid, but TE is not going to make the difference against OSU.
December 9th, 2019 at 2:22 PM ^
I disagree. If we had landed Jeremy Ruckert instead of OSU, that would have been a 30-point swing.
December 9th, 2019 at 2:51 PM ^
True but it’s not about the individual player. It’s the perception. We are not getting elite talent like we were in the first few harbaugh recruiting classes. One top athlete will get others to commit as well. Sigh when will this nightmare end

Football recruiting has been a disaster...I don’t understand how anyone thinks we can make up ground against osu like this
December 9th, 2019 at 3:18 PM ^
Football recruiting is NOT a disaster. You want a disaster? Go look at MSU, which has a class that I'm pretty sure is behind Kansas right now. Kansas. Let that set in....
Our recruiting is fine for being a regular top 6-15 program. But a regular top-5 program? No, its not. And unfortunately that's where OSU is right now, and probably will be the for the foreseeable future.

Since when do we compare our recruiting rankings to Michigan state?? My god have we fell so low....
December 9th, 2019 at 2:48 PM ^
That little prick! He must be a real POS to choose a school other than the one we root for.
/s
In all seriousness, M is ok (for now) at TE with Eubanks, All and Schoonmaker returning.

Meh. A loss - yes. But .... I would be more distraught if we lost a high level defensive recruit of need.
December 9th, 2019 at 3:20 PM ^
"twitta"
ok...
December 9th, 2019 at 3:26 PM ^
I think we're alright at TE. This guy isn't the difference between winning and losing vs. OSU.
December 9th, 2019 at 3:30 PM ^
Apparently he decided not to be a Champion.
December 9th, 2019 at 3:30 PM ^
He was definitely leaning blue.
December 9th, 2019 at 3:44 PM ^
He would’ve helped overall talent level. Potential difference maker. Won’t know now. Osu 8 top 100 commits. M 1.
December 9th, 2019 at 3:49 PM ^
Fine with this outcome - would rather have a QB, CB or OT/DT vs another TE to fill this spot.
December 9th, 2019 at 4:10 PM ^
Plenty more 4*s out there, yes?
December 9th, 2019 at 5:07 PM ^
It is slowly crashing down.
December 9th, 2019 at 5:22 PM ^
Bag men. And on line classes. What else could it be ?
December 9th, 2019 at 5:41 PM ^
Junker decision.
December 9th, 2019 at 5:49 PM ^
Whew! Another dong punch. I expected him to come our way.
December 9th, 2019 at 7:41 PM ^
Kinda odd that he commits on the day their OC jumps ship.
December 9th, 2019 at 8:50 PM ^
When Harbaugh was hired, I thought TE would be an instant and long-standing spot with great talent. His best TE has been a Hoke recruit in Butt. Asiasi was #77 and Mustapha was #168 overall - both gone. Gentry was a QB convert. Now he loses Johnson to PSU.

What is really sad is that for the last month Sam has talked about this kid on WTKA at least 10 times.
Looks like another recruiting class that won’t be early good enough to compete for championships.

Has a bagman already been cited here?
