Harbaugh gets career win 150
Last week vs Iowa, he got his 100th win as a college head coach.
Yesterday he got career win #150. If you include all coaching stops--even the NFL--he's 150-64-1.
101-42 (.706) in college. 49-22-1 in the NFL.
His Michigan career record as of me typing this is 43-15. Gary Moeller's record at Michigan through 5 seasons was 44-13-3.

Ok.
BEAVER STRONG
October 13th, 2019 at 1:38 PM ^
We prefer our beaver sweet rather than strong
October 13th, 2019 at 1:48 PM ^
I don't think beaver ever has a pleasant taste, but a strong beaver is better able to tighten up the damn.
October 13th, 2019 at 4:00 PM ^
Not sure where you find your beaver but, I assure you, a great beaver has a very pleasant taste.
October 13th, 2019 at 4:42 PM ^
Have found that the taste of beaver ranges wildly. When you find beaver that tastes great you want to keep eating it again and again.

I don't think everyone in this thread chain is on the same topic.
October 13th, 2019 at 1:09 PM ^
150 career wins?
OK, maybe no paycut for now.
But he'd better get to win 200 by Christmas.
October 13th, 2019 at 1:10 PM ^
Only thing I care about is his record the next two games. Anything less than 2-0 is unacceptable.
October 13th, 2019 at 1:19 PM ^
!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!one1!!!!!!!!!
October 13th, 2019 at 1:20 PM ^
If we win either of the next two I'll take it. Beating them both in consecutive weeks is tough.
October 13th, 2019 at 1:30 PM ^
I’d be floored if they’re 1-1 during this stretch. That would mean there’s certainly been improvements.
October 13th, 2019 at 1:43 PM ^
does that mean you'll hold off on saying anything until after the 2nd week, or will you post whiny ass comments if the team goes 0-1 next week?
October 13th, 2019 at 1:54 PM ^
He’ll post whiny ass comments if they are 1-0 this week. “This just shows how terrible Penn State is. And they beat Iowa so Iowa sucks too. Michigan is definitely going 6-6”
October 13th, 2019 at 3:09 PM ^
What’s whiny about expecting to beat teams when you have better talent? Expect more.
October 13th, 2019 at 6:24 PM ^
You think someone telling you the truth sounds whiney?
October 13th, 2019 at 1:42 PM ^
“Anything less than a 1600 on your SATs is unacceptable, son.”
October 13th, 2019 at 1:49 PM ^
Being paid Top 5 in money in the country while being, at best, the 3rd best team in your conference over the last 5 years is a failure.
Who cares about "10 win seasons" when it means you are the 3-4th best team in the B10 over the 5 years of JH's tenure?
October 13th, 2019 at 2:19 PM ^
Harbaugh makes a lot because 1) we had to compete with the NFL for his services and 2) in this day and age, Michigan probably has to overpay to get top coaches, given that our recruiting base isn't great.
Regardless, the only Big Ten program that has clearly been better than us since 2015 is OSU. After that it's close between Michigan, PSU and Wisconsin.
Since 2015, Michigan is 29-10 in Big Ten play and PSU 28-10, and we're 3-1 against them.
Wisconsin is 30-8 but competes in the much weaker West, and IIRC has not beaten either OSU or PSU in this timeframe. They're also 2-2 against us.
October 13th, 2019 at 3:12 PM ^
1600? How about trying to avoid a 1050? Already took one ass whipping and OSU looms. Not unreasonable to expect nothing less than a 2 loss season. Honest to God, what a bunch of low expectation losers on this board...
October 13th, 2019 at 3:58 PM ^
Calling people 'losers' for having reasonable expectations about the upcoming two weeks of football is pretty laughable.
October 13th, 2019 at 7:04 PM ^
God doesn't care how many games Michigan wins. Just sayin.
And given the percentage of programs who lose more than 2 games every year, it is unreasonable to expect nothing less than 2 losses in a given season.
October 13th, 2019 at 2:06 PM ^
Then prepare for disappointment. Even going 1-1 is huge, but if I’ve got to drop 1, I’d rather drop ND.
It would knock us out of playoff contention for sure, but all of your Big Ten goals are still intact. Losing to ND would have zero bearing on us getting to Indy or not.
October 13th, 2019 at 3:13 PM ^
Going 1-1 is “huge”? Lol. OK
October 13th, 2019 at 7:08 PM ^
Back to back games against top 10 teams, with 1 being a road game? Yes. 1-1 would be huge.
October 13th, 2019 at 1:23 PM ^
That's an accomplishment. It's not perfect but it is good.
And remember Moeller was a good coach. He didn't get canned but resigned after an embarrassing drunken escapade.
October 13th, 2019 at 1:26 PM ^
Congrats to Coach Harbaugh - and good post and facts, OP.
But given the current environment - may as well put up a post title that says "Negative Assholes Enter Here".
October 13th, 2019 at 1:57 PM ^
Can a hole enter something? That seems topologically questionable. The mind bottles.
October 13th, 2019 at 2:28 PM ^
Does a hole imply or require having outer bounds? Is a straw just one long hole?
Does a straw enter liquid? Or does the liquid surround, fill, and consume the hole?
October 13th, 2019 at 3:35 PM ^
I mean, a straw has a hole in it, a straw is not itself just a hole. So is an "asshole" just the hole, or does it encompass the surrounding anatomy?
October 13th, 2019 at 8:20 PM ^
Good question. The asshole is only the visible end of the entire digestive system. Mouth to ass is just one long squiggly straw.
The real question, is if you removed the ass, and just had the digestive system on a table, would it still be the asshole? At that point, I think it just becomes the anus.
So, I’d argue you need the surrounding anatomy to ensure the anus is an asshole.
October 13th, 2019 at 10:45 PM ^
Hard to argue with that logic.
October 13th, 2019 at 1:34 PM ^
He is a very good coach! Is he elite? He sure as heck has a chance to show something special the next two weeks. If they pull off 1-1 I’ll take it with a big ass smile.
October 13th, 2019 at 2:05 PM ^
Moeller was 3-1-1 against OSU during those years. People would be thrilled with Harbaugh if he had lost a few random games and was 3-1-1 against OSU.
October 13th, 2019 at 2:18 PM ^
Yes, I've noticed how the Michigan fanbase is really tolerant of those "random losses".
A large percentage seem to be bitching during most "random wins", even against a Top 20 team last week.
October 13th, 2019 at 2:22 PM ^
Except that people definitely weren’t in love with Mo, nor Carr (even when he started out 5-1 against OSU) so I’d question that assumption.
October 13th, 2019 at 2:27 PM ^
their overall records might be similar, but the quality of Moeller's record really sets him apart from Harbaugh
Moeller was 4-1 in bowl games. (1-1 in rose bowl)
won two outright big ten championships and shared another (Iowa wins the 4 way tiebreaker by being 3-0 against the other teams).
3-1-1 against OSU
3-2 against MSU.
Harbaugh might be able to get to 3-2 against MSU this year. But against OSU, Bowl Games, and hardware Moeller outclasses Harbaugh by a long shot.
October 13th, 2019 at 2:39 PM ^
Moeller also took over for the greatest coach in our history and had a freaking Heisman winner in his cupboard.
Harbaugh took over for a guy who wouldn’t wear a headset and had almost no OL remaining from his last 2 classes.
October 13th, 2019 at 2:50 PM ^
Good original post Wolverine Devotee, important context.
The issue is the big ten has changed, and not for the better. The divisions / scheduling stack against everyone not named Ohio state or Wisconsin. Sorry, it's the truth. Really screwed us for a long time. We have to play the best of the conference every year while Wisconsin coasts. Ohio state avoids tough crossovers routinely and gets Michigan and MSU games home-away each year versus us who has to alternate between feast-famine as far as major rival home games.
This conference has become a joke.
October 13th, 2019 at 3:04 PM ^
But Harbaugh is in year 5. The cupboard excuse doesn't fly anymore.
October 13th, 2019 at 3:17 PM ^
Agreed. 6 yrs of crossovers with WIS is brutal. They are 50/50 games and always tough. BigTen should reconfigure or just eliminate Divisions altogether.

Also, Moeller went up against John Cooper’s OSU and an MSU on probation. OSU was significantly worse than they are now and MSU was downright terrible for most of that time.
Harbaugh has gone up against Meyer and Dantonio.
