Well, he’s in concussion protocol...
October 5th, 2019 at 8:55 PM ^
I mostly just want him to start so people actually spell his name properly. Why do I care if Fran McCaffery is concussed?
October 6th, 2019 at 7:10 AM ^
Still waiting for Rudock not to be Ruddock.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:43 PM ^
He's injured.
But I agree for next week. I doubt it will happen.
October 5th, 2019 at 2:19 PM ^
It’s painful to watch the offense. They can’t throw downfield to save their lives.
October 5th, 2019 at 2:36 PM ^
Can't throw deep if there isn't a deep route. As mentioned in the broadcast they have been having 0 deep routes to take the top off the defense
October 5th, 2019 at 3:31 PM ^
He won’t be any better. He has the same coach.
October 5th, 2019 at 4:03 PM ^
This is a sobering thought.
?
October 5th, 2019 at 6:41 PM ^
Exactly. Play calling is straight trash. Establish the running game and then abandon it. Have success down the field and then never threaten again. Almost no screen game that takes advantage of the cushion on the outside. Taking your best athletes off the field for fullbacks and TEs. Makes no damn sense, and on top of that Shea looks like he has no confidence and may be hurt. Offense has been embarrassing.
October 5th, 2019 at 11:04 PM ^
He would keep it on more than 10% of read option calls, so yes, he would be better.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:44 PM ^
Well sure, if you want to start a guy who has a concussion.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:45 PM ^
I would assume he means when Dylan’s healthy.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:47 PM ^
First this is more of a comment, not a topic by the OP.
Second, if the OP gave some sort of description we would know what he meant.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:55 PM ^
I wasn’t arguing against either one of those points.
October 5th, 2019 at 2:05 PM ^
Upvote to you then... plus I feel like you could beat me up.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:49 PM ^
Maybe concussed McCaffery is better than healthy Shea?
/s
October 5th, 2019 at 1:44 PM ^
Just stop. It's never going to happen.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:44 PM ^
Milton would be an upgrade on Shea at this point
October 5th, 2019 at 1:56 PM ^
Milton did make some nice throws last week. I liked what I saw it seems he's made some real progress. It's getting close to the point where we couldn't do any worse, and maybe a lot better.
October 5th, 2019 at 3:37 PM ^
He had 4 attempts... he turfed one... he rifled one on a 5 yard route that DPJ had to make a phenomenal catch on... and Giles Jackson had to turn around on a throw behind him (luckily he was wide open). Just stop.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:45 PM ^
Insightful post. Too bad he’s in concussion protocol. Maybe next week but Harbaugh tends to give older guys the benefit of the doubt too often
October 5th, 2019 at 3:35 PM ^
Meritocracy where we place a lot of merit in the accomplishment of being born first.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:47 PM ^
Harbaugh doesn't care.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:49 PM ^
I blame It on drugs
October 5th, 2019 at 1:51 PM ^
Start JJ McCarthy! Good grief.
October 5th, 2019 at 2:13 PM ^
Can we do that?
October 5th, 2019 at 1:51 PM ^
Does it even matter? Both QBs look worse than last year.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:59 PM ^
They both regressed this year. This reminds me of the Hoke years when our qbs looked awesome their first game and slowly fell apart. By year 2, it looked like they never picked up a football before.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:51 PM ^
Imagine how good this team could be with a above average QB... we should be up 3 scores at least SMH
October 5th, 2019 at 1:51 PM ^
Clearly a lot of what we are seeing falls on Patterson. It does seem like he locks on a receiver and he is obviously not reading defenses like the good ones do. He could very well have had 3 interceptions in that first half and he waits way to long to decide to tuck the ball and run. Right now he is a turnover waiting to happen. We've all see though that it takes an act of God for Harbaugh to pull his qb once he names him his starter so unfortunately he's not going anywhere without an injury.
October 5th, 2019 at 2:04 PM ^
It falls on Harbaugh, period. He hasn't been able to bring in any good quarterbacks in 5 years.
October 5th, 2019 at 2:41 PM ^
Eh...he's brought in plenty of good QBs. Now, when it comes to instilling confidence, developing, and getting the best out of those QBs you've probably got a point.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:52 PM ^
Uh. He has a head injury.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:52 PM ^
Time to start joe Milton. I meant last game. Patterson was done to me in the 2nd game first drive.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:53 PM ^
Bring out Sessa, bitches!!!
ill take whomevers competent. Today in this game that doesn’t seem like it’s Shea. I’d be open to trying Milton to start the second half and I’d bet if it werent for the concussion Dylan would be out there, but I don’t think Jim will go to the third string guy in a game he’s currently winning, despite the fact that we probably shouldn’t be winning it at this stage
October 5th, 2019 at 1:53 PM ^
I agree... offense is giving me no choice but to hit the bottle
October 5th, 2019 at 1:56 PM ^
I said it during the Army game and was negged, but I'm convinced Harbaugh promised Shea and his family the job for him to come here.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:59 PM ^
I bet he only promised for one year at most. This is non sense to me.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:56 PM ^
Milton should have came in for the last second Hail Mary at the very least.
October 5th, 2019 at 2:00 PM ^
I thought the same thing.
October 5th, 2019 at 2:01 PM ^
Should have COME in, dumbass. And, why? Shea can’t throw it that far?
October 5th, 2019 at 2:14 PM ^
He threw it about 25 yards on a roll out.
October 5th, 2019 at 2:22 PM ^
Well now, ain't you the fuckin' english professor? And no, he can't throw it that far.
October 5th, 2019 at 2:03 PM ^
No way should Milton be starting...but I thought the exact same thing. Why the hell is he not in for the Hail Mary?
It's little things like that which make me question the coaching staff.
Not calling the perfect high/low combo play and Patterson throwing it into double coverage when All is right in front of him for a decent gain. That's not coaching or playcalling.
Also not using the TO when DPJ didn't get out of bounds. Another poor decision.
October 5th, 2019 at 2:00 PM ^
Why?
Time to stop drinking.
Same reasoning.

October 5th, 2019 at 2:02 PM ^
I agree but not everyone will read this. Make a thread if you want people to read it
October 5th, 2019 at 2:23 PM ^
That's exactly what it is. The OP thinks his opinion is so important, he needs it validated.
October 5th, 2019 at 2:26 PM ^
HEY we DO have a thread about Charles Woodson and the T-shirt cannon for you to savor!
October 5th, 2019 at 2:03 PM ^
His thought was too important to be buried in another thread.
