How the hell does Ohio State keep reloading with these 1st round CBs?!
Roby, Apple, Ward, Lattimore and now Okudah looks like a lockdown too.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:04 PM ^
It’s stupid.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:10 PM ^
They recruit studs. Their recruiting, and for that matter, player development is really good.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:22 PM ^
It’s called putting effort in recruiting the best players.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:30 PM ^
OSU continues to get STUD DB's because they look for kids with good talent. That, and making sure their recruits can catch pop ups and ground balls, are good at swimming, and can excel at basketball and dodgeball. You know...the things that really matter when evaluating a player.
September 28th, 2019 at 10:04 PM ^
It's called making a commitment to being a National player in college football.
September 29th, 2019 at 10:39 AM ^
According to annual expense forms submitted by both schools to the NCAA, obtained by MLive via a public records request, Michigan has outspent Ohio State by a more than 50 percent margin under Harbaugh when it comes to recruiting expenses. From 2015 to 2018, Michigan spent a total of more than $4.7 million to OSU’s $2.954 million.
The gap was no larger than in 2017, when Michigan spent nearly twice as much as Ohio State on recruiting, $1,559,796 to OSU’s $773,163. Michigan’s recruiting class in 2018 ranked 22nd nationally, compared to Ohio State’s No. 2-ranked class, according to 247Sports.

Recruiting well. Pretty simple actually
September 28th, 2019 at 9:21 PM ^
Guess they haven't really been tested, but this feels like the most talented OSU team yet. Just no let up. Great athletes at 22 spots.
September 28th, 2019 at 11:05 PM ^
Many in the Central Ohio area and close to OSU are saying that this is their best OL in 15 years. It all starts up front.
September 28th, 2019 at 11:13 PM ^
Did they have even one rush that was for no gain tonight? It's just silly. And it sickens my stomach.
September 28th, 2019 at 9:24 PM ^
Recruiting*
September 28th, 2019 at 9:16 PM ^
Obviously they recruit in the roughest neighborhoods
September 28th, 2019 at 11:53 PM ^
They also had Gareon Connelly go in the first round. He was originally committed to us. Malik Hooker was a 1st rounder, but I think he was a safety
September 28th, 2019 at 8:03 PM ^
We need a chase young.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:05 PM ^
Ill take a Fields as well
September 28th, 2019 at 8:24 PM ^
I feel that Chase Young is what Rashan should have been. I'm not saying Rashan was not good, because he was, but don't think he panned out as much as he could have.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:05 PM ^
OSU will destroy Nebraska.
Looking at OSU's starters, it doesn't seem like Michigan was in many head-to-head battles for most of them. Interesting.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:12 PM ^
Depending on how much more Ruiz improves, the C/DT matchup could be a wash.
Chase Young vs. our OTs though...
September 28th, 2019 at 8:06 PM ^
damn, was hoping the Huskers could get some early momentum
September 28th, 2019 at 8:06 PM ^
It’s a joke that Fields is eligible this year.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:08 PM ^
It's actually a joke that the NCAA has a rule that you can't play the next year unless you're granted a waiver.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:12 PM ^
That may be but with the rules as they currently are set, there is no way fields should be eligible.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:27 PM ^
Are you surprised? OSU is one of the NCAA's darling children. The NCAA wants/needs them to be good every year and will do anything it can to ensure that.
September 28th, 2019 at 9:34 PM ^
It’s bullshit that our transfer QB had to sit and their’s gets to play immediately. Oh, yeah...never mind.
September 29th, 2019 at 9:57 AM ^
but Shea getting immediate eligibility was warranted? Look, I hate it too but your comment is just stupid. Shea getting it was a little head scratching too.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:10 PM ^
Don't worry gang. This is the year that Michigan is supposed to beat OSU! We got this...
September 28th, 2019 at 8:10 PM ^
Watching OSU they just look far and away better than us ... I’m not sure how they can plug and play any QB while we aren’t able to find one
September 28th, 2019 at 8:13 PM ^
A lot can happen in 8 weeks
September 28th, 2019 at 8:43 PM ^
How many weeks did Harbaugh have to prepare for Florida and the Bowl Game? How many weeks did he have to prepare this team to play for 2019? Harbaugh isn't changing anything in 8 weeks. He has shown he cannot prepare his team to play. How anyone can overlook that fact is not being objective. I don't like that fact. I so wish it wasn't true. I wish Michigan was steam rolling teams. Would be my greatest joy.
Pure and simple, Harbaugh hasn't had our team look anything like OSU. They are a freaking juggernaut. Their execution is superb. Their Talent that has been developed and utilized correctly. They recruit at a level beyond us. Harbaugh doesn't know how to put together a team like OSU.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:52 PM ^
let’s see how the offense develops going forward. I’m really interested in seeing how it performs against Iowa.
September 28th, 2019 at 11:31 PM ^
I really believe that Iowa game will make or break our season. Hopefully make it.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:54 PM ^
In response to lakeyale 13, you may want to step away for awhile.
Let’s see how Michigan performs going forward. If unc can hang with Clemson, Michigan can certainly hang with osu.
September 29th, 2019 at 9:55 AM ^
You put forward the thinking of many delusional Michigan fans. You take one crazy outlier (UNC vs. Clemson) and apply it to Michigan vs their toughest opponent. Feel free to continue in your fantastical thinking if it makes you feel better.
September 28th, 2019 at 10:15 PM ^
OSU becomes average if they lose their QB. I’m not hoping he gets hurt, but I’m not praying for his health either.
September 29th, 2019 at 9:59 AM ^
classy
September 28th, 2019 at 8:16 PM ^
One of the reasons I think switching our offense will be better for us in the long run
September 28th, 2019 at 8:25 PM ^
Agree. We’re gonna have to learn how to score often and fast. Ball control offense wasn’t working against osu and certainly won’t work this year. Let’s hope our O can improve off this week and keep improving.
Btw Indiana showed the key to playing MSU is throwing the ball. Not a lot of teams running on MSU but passing to set up the run looks like the key against them.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:10 PM ^
This is ABC's prime time game? Really? What has Nebraska shown the last couple years to make anyone think they could make this one interesting?
September 28th, 2019 at 8:12 PM ^
Scott Frost
September 28th, 2019 at 8:14 PM ^
Apparently Scott Frost going 13-0 at UCF in 2017 was the greatest coaching job in the history of sports.
I'm not sure anyone has gotten more mileage from an undefeated season in the history of college football.
And apparently some people thought Adrian Martinez as a legitimate Heisman candidate.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:17 PM ^
This is how every other team / fan in the country thinks of Michigan.
September 29th, 2019 at 12:26 AM ^
They played OSU tough last year. 35-31 and had the ball at the end of the game.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:12 PM ^
They seem to find all the quick twitch WRs that run legit 4.3 or 4.4 while we get the bigger slower WRs it shows ...We don’t have the speed in space athletes yet
September 28th, 2019 at 8:15 PM ^
I know the talk of OSU has been their offense but their D has been playing elite, MUCH better than last year.
September 28th, 2019 at 9:08 PM ^
Greg Mattison
September 29th, 2019 at 12:32 AM ^
Yep, unfortunately.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:16 PM ^
I give up (waving white flag)...
...can OSU be placed in the ACC (to give Clemson someone to play with)?
Their talent discrepancy has "jumped the shark" for the B1G
September 28th, 2019 at 8:32 PM ^
I have given up for a few years. The coaching and talent discrepancies between OSU and UM are just so vastly different. I don't think we'll be able to compete with them for a long time. I'd be fine with leaving the Big Ten at this point and never facing them again unless it's in the playoff. I'm being serious. What is the point of playing this sport if we're just going to lose to OSU every fucking season? We'll never win a national title or even get to the fucking playoff with OSU in our way.
September 28th, 2019 at 8:46 PM ^
Not only is their talent and coaching superior but we also get the distinction of being their "rival". They prepare for their rival much better than we do as well.
