Can someone take a stab at identifying these players. I can tell about three of them--I mostly see them on television while they are wearing helmets.
I'm gonna miss a few but here goes...
Back row: Upshaw, Myers, Vilain, Jeter, Kemp, ?, Mone, ?, Dwumfour, Paye, Ron Johnson, ?, Hutchinson, Order of St. Kovacs
Bottom row: ?, Lo Marshall, Salim Makki, DIB, the other three are probably the three you know (Gary, Chase, Aubrey)
Thanks. I actually knew four (the last three + Hutchinson). I was especially wondering about the first guy in the bottom row (right below Mattison) who looks huge.
Coach Mattison has to be one of the coolest guys to be around at schembechler hall right?
And that dinner only cost $67,942!
That is what I was thinking. That is a lot of large men to feed. I can imagine that cost a few bucks to cater in. Nice of Mattison to do that.
I hope they had enough food.
Obviously Mattison wouldn't do this unless everything was on the up and up. But wasn't it a few years ago the players said something to the effect they were allowed to have bagels but cream cheese on them would have been an NCAA violation? I'm 100% for this team bonding I'm just hoping someone can explain how these food rules work.
That all blue jumpman hat is nice!
Eh. Should be maize. You can see it better that way.
That's a lot of big men or maybe it's an optical illusion and the table and plates are just small.
Jordan Kovacs is there.
Grad assistants need all the free meals they can get.
Fwiw, my brother has a side hustle as an uber driver, he picked Jordan up a couple weeks ago and Jordan said he is working with the DL.
Hutchinson looks huge already..he's gonna be a beast
Wow, I was wondering who that was and yeah, he's gonna be a beast. It might be his position in the picture, but either way, the kid is 18.
Hutchinson is a big big boy for being 18
Carlo Kemp looks like last year's Carlo Kemp's big brother
but did they spread mulch?
Who is the guy that didn't get the memo and wore the teal shirt?
Izzo?
ICYMI - JKP looks to be benefiting from Herbert and staff
What game are they playing?
Dodgeball. The safeties beat the RB's but Tru Wilson still brought home the MVP award. According to Jay Harbaugh, the RB's defeated the safeties 5-2 on the gladiator beam.
That looks like a blast! You gotta envy the life experience these kids get to have. They certainly earn it.
Your not kidding, think his forearms mite be bigger than his thighs at this time last year.
Mone looks to be in pretty good shape. Kemp looks....almost as big as Mone. Really looking forward to see how this rotation works out
Genuinely curious -- I thought coaches and players couldn't interact in the off season. Is there an exception for social functions like these?
Coaches can't be present for drills. Given a coaches role in an athletes life I think it would be utterly cruel to prevent contact...
They can interact. Just not in a football environment. No practices, drills, etc.
I'll defer to an expert on the matter, but my understanding was that they just couldn't do any mandatory or substantive team meetings/film sessions or practices/drills.
That rule changed in 2014. On field coaches can interact with players for 8 hours per week for an 8 week period over the summer. In addition, a 2 hour per week limit on film study was implemented.
Mone looks like he has trimmed down in a good way.
only 3 cows were eaten....
That is a well built porch.
Is that Mike Dwumfour in the front row center? I know he played a little DL his freshman year, but is he switching back?
God damn no edit function, I meant Mike Onwenu
I think you're looking at Deron Irving-Bey
Dang, Aidan Hutchinson is big.
Called bonding and most important family. I
