"How I got into college" Michigan Dad clip - FOUND
I once tested the board to see if anyone remembered a block Aaron Shea made, and got not only an answer but a video of the play within minutes. I have another test. There was a cheesy 80's movie called "How I Got Into College" that was actually pretty funny. In one scene, the girl goes to visit a school and her Dad comes with her but wears Michigan gear from head to toe. With all of the talk about McDowell liking MSU and his parents liking Michigan I have been thinking of that scene again.
So... does anyone remember that movie, and, where can I find a video or screenshot of it?

Not just for the Michigan Dad, but I loved this movie. Phil Hartman and Nora Dunn have small roles as college resume experts.

Apparently the board has gotten snarkier since my last question. I didn't ask if anyone could verify the film existed with IMDB or a google search. I asked if anyone had an image or video of the Dad in gear, and if you remembered the film in general.

...never lose the opportunity to make a joke, but yes.
To your question: I did a search as best I could to find a clip of the father wearing Michigan gear. Although I recall the movie and that part of it, I couldn't find anything...not yet anyway. I'll keep looking.

Here is a retro-trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2Tl8q564gM
But nothing of the dad in gear.

In this trailer, it shows that Booger from Revenge of the Nerds was also in this movie and I think the mailman in the trailer is that guy selling the concert tickets in Fast Times at Ridgemount High. Love how all these old school B movies shuffled the deck and kept pulling out this character actors over and over again....

Actually, you asked, "So... does anyone remember that movie, and, where can I find a video or screenshot of it? "
You lost me in the verbiage between your question and the topic of the Dad in M gear. Sorry if I came off snarky. I didn't know what "it" meant.

It has been years since I thought of this film, but I always thought it was pretty funny.
"How do you think you did, Marlon?"
"I don't know. It's kinda hard to tell from a bunch of dots."
"I'm sure you did fine."

You can watch the film online (here) for free. The clip of the dad in his Michigan gear is at the 17:30 mark of the movie. I can't vouch for the website, but I didn't have any issues.

That is awesome. It has been a difficult three months for the Board, but things like this are why I keep coming back.

Is this the movie where at the end they need to drive to a college to submit an application in time? However, they get stuck behind a slow moving police car on a two lane road which is going to cause them to be late. The guy driving then does an SAT-like problem in his head to realize that if he slows down even more, the guy driving the Lambo behind him will get impatient, try to pass, get pulled over by the cop thus allowing them to speed up and get to the college on time.
If that is the movie, I think about that scene way too often. If not, carry-on...
