My hot take is that…

My hot take is that Tschetter gets talked up disproportionately for breakout potential on the 9.95 sites because he provided more access as a recruit than the other recruits in the 2021 class.

Only thing that matters is…

Only thing that matters is whether the team recruiting ranking moved up or down.

Nah, just root for Notre…

Nah, just root for Notre Dame to lose. Domani’s dad has already said something to the effect of what USC does doesn’t matter now, just who they hire.

Again, he didn’t have to say…

Again, he didn’t have to say anything. The only reason to say anything in that scenario is try to increase your perception of being an insider to the masses without actually providing tango able inside information. It’s purely for clout.

That’s fine, but he shouldn…

That’s fine, but he shouldn’t go chasing clout after the fact claiming he knew all this stuff he was unwilling to say.

I’m also not surprised.

……

I’m also not surprised.

… Pretty easy to say after the fact.

I really doubt this was a…

I really doubt this was a defining issue. Basically every university has both pro-BDS and anti-BDS factions.

My advice is life is short…

My advice is life is short. Give something a good honest shot, but if it’s not working out for you after that then try something else. Good luck to Nolan.

Very visual radio show…

Very visual radio show consumed by me via podcast painted a very visual picture of your face about this.

This painted a pretty…

This painted a pretty uninspiring picture of what’s to come on offense.

NHG making a move is…

NHG making a move is interesting, though I’m surprised it’s for Barrett’s spot instead of Ross’s. Mazi hype is good but I agree it’s forced because they sort of need a guy there.

Whoever emerges at Ohio…

Whoever emerges at Ohio State will be number one.

If it makes you feel better,…

If it makes you feel better, he’ll probably fall down the rankings and not be our number 3 ranked recruit among the currently committed guys if his lack of commitable offers are an indicator of where his ranking will go.

The projected corner depth… The projected corner depth chart was a good chuckle at least.
Seems like the athletic…

Seems like the athletic department should say too bad to Harbaugh wanting to keep things closed and not let him dictate this.

He liked a tweet that says…

He liked a tweet that mentions that he tore his ACL unfortunately.

I think there is reasons to…

I think there is reasons to doubt that the secondary as a whole will be solid. Safeties probably will be good but the only corner who played decently last year was Green, and it doesn't look like anyone has made a move on the other one.

Well Michigan dropped Allen…

Well Michigan dropped Allen. I'd be petty too if Gattis stopped contacting me then went 2-4 with a loss to Michigan State while I was committed to Wisconsin.

Most of these sports shouldn…

Most of these sports shouldn’t exist past the club level anyways. Hopefully, in the post-covid landscape, most NCAA sports will look more like club teams.

This problem goes away when…

This problem goes away when trying to get grad transfers though, no?

People keep acting like…

People keep acting like modern college football is just going out there and running 4 verts when it comes to Joe Milton.

Contact tracing is already…

Contact tracing is already constitutional. Certain diseases are considered notifiable conditions and are reported to states whether you consent to that or not. However to be generous, there isn't currently a system of cell phone gps tracking that enables it at this point. It mostly consists of calling people who test positive to see where they have been for x period of time and who they interacted with. Source - myself, State Epidemiologist in Texas

States are already ramping this up, Texas hopes to have 4,000 people trained to do this in the coming weeks. This might not be enough, but it's also not a good reason to throw our hands in the air and say "Screw it" it's too hard and not try to mitigate it.

Even the GOAT turns into…

Even the GOAT turns into just another old goat.

If we want to venture into…

If we want to venture into hypotheticals, if went 8-4 in the regular season we probably get a different bowl match-up maybe win that game.

Because we have better…

Because we have better facilities, a better brand, a bigger fanbase and are more relevant.

Join FCS or DIII or quit…

Join FCS or DIII or quit complaining. We’ve chosen to compete at the highest level, if the university is unwilling to do that then it should find a different level to compete at.

That knob has been dad…

That knob has been dad-dicking us the past 15 years... and is an absolute analytics darling this year.

Hell, I hope Michigan gets…

Hell, I hope Michigan gets to the level that Auburn has been at the past 10 years. Wins some games against their rivals (even when their rival is on a historically dominant run in Alabama and the other is ascendant in Georgia) and appears in a couple natty's and wins one.

While it's nice to see…

While it's nice to see individual players shoot up the rankings it feels a bit like cherry picking when we just moved down in the 247 composite 2020 rankings (though I assume that was partially due to the JD Johnson news.) Regardless of the rankings, I think we need a decent QB to feel like this class is a success.

Not sure I buy that. Why…

Not sure I buy that. Why would Michigan decide to play 3 G5's in 2022 and 2023 when we have Washington in 2020/2021, Texas 2024/2027 and Oklahoma 2025/2026? I think another P5 fills this slot.

The Alabama formula has been…

The Alabama formula has been to play one mediocre P5 neutral site and then 2 FBS cupcakes and 1 FCS cupcake. The key thing is they are still playing a mediocre P5 opponent.

Michigan would absolutely be made an example of if we went 11-1 and played 3 bad G5 (non-UCF, Houston, Boise State, BYU, etc) schools. You still want to play a bad P5 school so you don't stand out as openly flaunting the system. It's not Alabama's fault that the Big Ten was really greedy and prioritized short-term profits (9 B1G games) over building the B1G brand with basically 5ish more wins spread out over the conference (B1G going 7-7 versus itself versus like 12-2 versus G5 teams).

UCLA is exactly the type of…

UCLA is exactly the type of mediocre P5 program Michigan needs to keep on the schedule to make the OOC easy enough to go 3-0 but with enough name recognition that national pundits / cfb committee don’t dump on our scheduling.

This is one of those games…

This is one of those games where there is a little optimism going in but we all look back on and think “well yeah, it was painfully obvious that we were going to lose this game.”

This is a win-win. The good…

This is a win-win. The good news is if we lose, then we can at least not blame the maize pants and might wear them again; alternatively we win, and well, who really cares.

Why would he take your line…

Why would he take your line when he could just take the Vegas one instead if he really wanted to bet? I never understand posts like these.

Georgia. We are unlikely to…

Georgia. We are unlikely to make the playoff and Notre Dame is a big recruiting rival, maybe our biggest.

Honestly saw that and…

Honestly saw that and decided the rest of it wasn't worth reading. The liberal use of "Dangerman" (5 of them on offense) seems to be unwarranted given the lack of danger our offense has produced so far.

Having grown up playing…

Having grown up playing soccer, it’s a fun sport to play but has nothing on football as a spectator sport. Increased playing of soccer won’t necessary translate to increased watching of soccer.

I think Matt Campbell could be an upgrade.

Placing second for a recruit…

Placing second for a recruit is often the worse case scenario. Oh well, time to identify and get the next guy.

Bad post but to address the…

Bad post but to address the substance, if one can call it that, who cares? I’d prefer Michigan and the B1G (8 conference games instead of 9) to be smarter with scheduling also.

Yeahhh... not sure setting up an Afghan government is really in MY personal interest. It’s been a few years since the military was fighting for my freedom. Regardless, I wish them well and hope they are moral actors for good on the global stage.

A questionable pass-rush and questionable corners is a fairly worrisome duality that could determine the ceiling of this team.

I'm originally from the DFW area and now in the Austin area but I played soccer back in high school in Midland against El Paso Coronado and against Odessa Permian in Abilene. Went on to go OOS for my undergrad then to Michigan for my masters but glad to be back in the great state of Texas.
