I guess they just all know Braiden McGregor is Hutch 2.0 and Ojabo is Uche 2.0 except he will actually play more than 40% of snaps

McGregor (Port Huron Northern HS) is from near my home town. I watched him since he was in Pee Wee football. I hope I am wrong but I am not impressed. I think he can improve because he has the correct frame to build upon. Player development is the key.

Coached against him when he was a sophomore. We had an all state QB who was a preferred walk-on RB at U-M (until they saw he wouldn’t qualify) and Braiden chased him down from the backside and I remember saying “that #7 might end up being something”

I think he's kinda a hybrid. Tbh we're recruiting a lot of LB and Edge guys who seem like they could swing either way

On the recruiting board here we have Micah Pollard listed as an edge and on 247 he's a LB, so I think there's a lot of Hybrid guys we are going after.

Looks like a high 3* (87) to 247, low 4* in the Composite (90). Anyone know if this was expected? From Tampa so maybe a distance issue or weather issue... there aren't really that many BIG name teams on him, Miami (YTM), Oregon, and Iowa State seem to be the biggest names on his offer list.

He hasn't taken any visits or anything so this is a surprise. The only thing I can think of is he was pissed off with how we handled the Tawfiq Thomas situation.

Basically, we offered Tawfiq Thomas but wanted him to visit before the offer was committable. He didn't visit and decided to commit anyways, going as far as scheduling an announcement. Michigan called him last minute and told him he couldn't commit, and so Thomas was forced to cancel his announcement. I imagine he wasn't pleased with the poor communication.
Thomas is teammates with Eugenio, and Eugenio was hyping up the commitment when the announcement was scheduled.

I mean his access is also predicated on him being a sunshine blower for the program that reports 'insider' things to make the program look better.
He's a useful guy to listen to in the context as he lets you know what the program wants people to know but he's not really a guy I'm looking to if I'm trying to figure out if something is actually wrong or get a balanced view.

I know this is hard for people like you to wrap your head around, but there are all kinds of things that Webb knows about from his constant behind the scenes, off the record conversations with recruits, their high school coaches, Michigan's coaches, the recruits' families, and other recruiting analysts that he can't or won't go public with.
